| 3258 | Introduction. The present paper introduces Russian historians of linguistics to a little-known treatise on the history of Spanish – “Del origen y principio de la lengua castellana o romance que oi se usa en España” (1606) by Bernardo de Aldrete. Aim and objectives. The aim of the present study is to analyse B. De Aldrete’s treatise and specify how certain notions of general linguistics, crucial for its present state of development, were being developed. Material and methods. The study is based on a print edition of Aldrete’s treatise (about 400-pages long). The methods employed are: critical analysis of the text as an example of Renaissance linguistic thought and sociocultural analysis of the historical context the treatise was written in. This XVII-century scientific text and its system of terms are interpreted with the help of modern terminology, as normally done by linguistic historiography scholars. Results and discussion. The analysis of Aldrete’s treatise as a specimen of Spanish linguistic thought is performed against the background of the earlier linguistic tradition and the sociocultural situation in the Golden-Age Spain. XVI–XVII-century Pyrenees linguistics – Spanish in particular – was developing in a very specific sociocultural milieu, which preconditioned its inter-paradigmatic nature and an extremely wide scope of objects and themes discussed. The paper mainly focuses on how Aldrete dealt with general linguistic issues in his treatise on the history of Spanish. The analysis shows that such issues include: ways of naming language; functions of language; diversity of forms of speech; correlations between language system and speech; historicity of language; language contacts; diatopic (territorial), diastratic (social) and diaphasic (functional) variation of language; distinguishing between dialects and languages; the domineering role of standard language. Conclusion. The author of the XVII-century historical-linguistic treatise under analysis does not limit himself to studying purely historical aspects of language. The work by Aldrete embraces a wide range of issues of general linguistics, which shows that as early as in the pre-Port-Royal period linguists were already discussing the concepts and principles that are crucial for modern linguistic science. | 3270 | The article describes the English advertising discourse for women, the texts of which were present in the 30-s and 40-s of the twentieth century. The purpose of the study is to analyze the arsenal of expressive linguistic means, both verbal and paralinguistic, to influence the female readership in order to enhance the pragmatic effect of the texts about the advertised product. The material of the study are texts of British and American magazines for women, presented on the websites of archival publications (vintageadbrowser.com, etc.), using the methods of linguistic description, classification, linguistic-stylistic and contextual analysis and translation. The analysis of expressive means in the English discourse of advertising texts for women made it possible to assume that advertising texts of this chronological period are polycode messages containing various means of verbal and non-verbal, paragraphemic expressions, such as various rhetorical devices (epithets, euphemisms, puns), visual images – drawings, photography, font variation, punctuation variation, implications, etc. Obviously, for the female readership, the greatest persuasiveness of the advertising text lies in the visual effect, therefore, visualization plays a central role in the set of expressive means of advertising discourse, i.e. drawings and photographs that, through a set of appropriate implications, cause a predictable psychological effect - the conviction of the need to purchase a product. The meaning of the actual verbal component of the text is not the leading one, since the gender characteristics of this readership are due to the motive – to imitate higher standards and more successful and beautiful people, whose images are present in advertising. The polycode nature of the advertising text is a necessary condition for achieving the pragmatic function of advertising aimed at persuading the target audience, and it consists in the mandatory combination of means of various language codes: verbal (graphemic proper) and paragraphemic (punctuation, graphics, drawings) means of discourse. | 3275 | The effects of a nonsimpiy connected spacetime with the topology of S1 x R3 in the vacua of QED and gauged-NJL theories are investigated. It is shown that the polarization effects of twisted and untwisted fermions in QED are equivalent, once the corresponding stable vacuum solution of each fermion class is taken into account. The photon propagation in QED is found to be anisotropic and characterized by several massive photon modes and a superluminal transverse mode. At small compactification radius the masses of the massive modes increase as the inverse of the radius, while the massless photon mode has a superluminal velocity that increases logarithmically with that distance. At low energies the photon masses lead to an effective confinement of the gauge fields into a (2+i)-dimensional manifold transverse to the compactified direction. In the gauged-NJL model, it is shown that for both twisted and untwisted fermions, the smaller the compactification radius, the larger the critical four-fermion coupling needed to generate a fermion-antifermion chiral symmetry breaking condensate. | 1985 | |||||

| 3284 | The article puts forward a model of studying a n artistic image in national poetic linguoculture. The model comprises three levels: сharacter-contextual, linguopoetic and conceptual. Each of the levels offers research into different layers of the image. The first level aims at describing character repertoire of the image, the second level focuses on its linguostylistic characteristics and the third level provides research into its conceptual content. Application of the model contributes to understanding of a literary image as a complex phenomenon – a projection of three semiotic systems: poetics, language and culture. Thus, each of the model layers is characterized by its own methods of research. Contextual analysis is a dominant method of research on the first level. At this stage of analysis major focus is given to constructing contextual setting of the image. Thus, the following structure of integrated imagological context is proposed in the article. Names of characters and their second naming varieties constitute its nuclear zone, speech portraits represent its central zone and a peripheral area comprises narrative portraits. Quantitative and linguostylistic analyses dominate on the second level of imagological research. At this stage the analysis is split in two parts: research into lexical specifics of imagological contexts and its stylistic peculiarities. A conceptual analysis is used on the third level of imagological research and it aims at establishing links and means of connecting the image to national culture through a notion of linguocultural concept. | 3285 | Introduction. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that today, in the period of the accelerating process of development and implementation of e-learning and distance learning technologies, the creation of a promising educational system, it is necessary to anticipate and forestall the emerging very contradictory problems. One of them is the demand for scientific and pedagogical workers who possess the necessary skills to carry out work in the electronic information and educational environment of the institute, and their insufficient training for the successful application of these technologies in professional activities. The goal is to identify the level of professional competence of scientific and pedagogical workers in order to organize activities in the digital educational environment. Material and methods. The methodological basis of the study was the psychological concept of the subject-activity approach, the essence of which lies in the idea of the person as an active subject, self-improving, self-actualizing and self-determining. The idea of this approach is based on the connection between the cognitive and activity mechanisms of the subject’s involvement in the external environment and assumes that he has a stable personal position on his own transformation and development. No less important is the second approach – acmeological – increasing the teacher’s professional competencies through informal forms of professional development. Results and discussion. The article presents an analysis of the problem of training scientific and pedagogical workers for the development of additional professional programs developed in the format of digital educational resources in the context of an accelerated change in the social and professional environment due to the expansion of digital technologies. The authors’ attention is focused on diagnosing digital competencies of specialists. The study of the digital competence of the scientific and pedagogical workers of the institute made it possible to determine the influence of the digital educational space on their professional development and to reveal the level of their readiness to participate in didactic communications using digital technologies. Conclusion. Thus, it should be noted that the diagnostics made it possible to fully assess the level of the institute’s employees with the competencies necessary to work in a digital educational environment, including for the development and implementation of additional professional programs in the format of digital educational resources. So, after the proposed number of forms of advanced training for teachers of the institute, in December 2021, a second diagnosis will be carried out, which will show the dynamics of increasing professional competence in terms of work in a digital educational environment.
