This work examines the characteristics of mental tempo in children who have experienced physical abuse. The results of investigation have shown that physical abuse negatively influenced on mental rate of primary school age children: in children who have experienced physical abuse there is reduced the mobility of nerve cells which is characterized by either their passive state, or exhaustion. This is manifested by the rapidly advancing fatigue and a change in the index of mental tempo with the intellectual load.

Introduction. It is suggested that V. Nabokov’s story “The Spy” (1930) largely grows out of his drama “Death” (1923), which remains on the periphery of the interest of the researchers of Nabokov’s fiction. The grounds for comparing the works are found, first of all, at the plot level: the hero’s attempt at suicide and the experience of imaginary death. The aim is to compare the plot situations of imaginary death in the drama “Death” and the story “The Spy” in order to reveal the change in the author’s attitude to the mystification of his own life by a person, moreover, to the possibility of metaphysical (post-death) reality. Material and methods. The article examines the early V. Nabokov’s drama “Death”, which is close to the symbolist drama, and the story “The Spy”, which reflects the creative maturation of the writer. The research is based on the comparative historical method, as well as on the provisions of E. Erickson (personal identity) and V. I. Tyupa (narrative identity). Results and discussion. The author reveals a different interpretation of a similar plot situation: the situation of imaginary death outlined in “Death”, in “The Spy” is plotted, the author’s attention is focused on how a modern person will behave in a situation of freedom from previous conditions of existence. In Death, the hero in an attempt at suicide turns out to be an object of manipulation by another, and in The Spy, the hero performs lynching and himself mystifies further events. For both heroes, imaginary death brings imaginary freedom: but for a person with a romantic outlook it is an opportunity to free themselves from the crisis and acquire an identity (“Death”), and for an intact person of modern civilization – liberation from ethical boundaries in the ability to change identities in observing himself as another narration, and in the stories-hoaxes of the character about himself (“The Spy”). But according to Nabokov, rewriting oneself, playing with fate are doomed to failure. The finale of both works is the heroes’ awareness of their imaginary death and their freedom, but for the hero of the drama this is spiritual death, and the hero of the story renounces self-identity and assumes the position of a “spy” – self-observation while refusing moral responsibility. Conclusion. The conclusion is made about Nabokov’s concept of human existence, which is associated, first of all, with visual perception, the ability to see. Nabokov denies a person the opportunity to comprehend the essence of posthumous existence, the modality of vision is negative: imagination-composition is destroyed by the vision of reality.

On an example of Jupiter's fth satellite Amalthea we study a question of, whether can be isolated the PN component of orbital precession of the satellite from much bigger Newtonian components. Results of researches have shown that all larger contributions of Newtonian perturbations can be modeled and subtracted out.

Polyphenol oxidase and peroxidase activity was determined in virgin peat deposit (3 m) and residual eutrophic peat (1 m) under permanent grasses in microfield experiment. Enzyme activity in virgin soil was determined through the thickness (0–100 cm); in residual peat – up to 60 cm deep – at the beginning of observations (1993), and through the profile – in subsequent terms (2002 and 2008). While the ratio «polyphenol oxidase activity: peroxidase activity» was approximately equal to 1, that could point to the relational balance of the processes of synthesis and decay of humic substances – both in virgin and reclamated peat of investigated ecosystem.

The paper presents the results of a study that explores the specific features of punctuation marks usage determined by the graphic design of advertising texts. The paper refers to the sphere of German studies, which is devoted to the language and culture of Russian Germans. The paper deals with anthroponymics – an understudied part of lexicon of the popular-spoken language of this ethnic community. The relevance of research topic is dictated by 1) urgent tasks of fixing, preserving and studying language and culture of Russian Germans as minority entities; 2) need to understand the linguo-cultural problems related to ethnoses and ethnic groups, with the use of still unused empirical materials, as well as testimony of metalanguage consciousness; 3) need for a detailed study of the nominal system of Russian Germans. The work was written due to the results of a fulltime audience survey of Russian Germans now living in Tomsk. It analyzes the names and demonstrations of metalanguage consciousness of representatives of this diasporic group. The names and demonstrations are represented in relation to proper names, which have German “color”. The aim of the paper is to determine whether Russian Germans’ proper names preserve the ethno-cultural connotation. The work results have both linguistic and historical-cultural significance. The combination of different ways of studying proper nouns of Russian Germans – revealing the procedural linguistic knowledge of subjects and referring to their declarative knowledge of German language allows to recreate links of anthroponymic system of this ethnic community. New lexical units,which clarify the notion of peculiarities of marks of Russian Germans are introduced into scientific usage. They can be used to compile anthroponymic dictionaries, a database of dying cultures.

In the article the rendering of the possible way of pronominal system formation in the Selkup language is offered. Interrogative pronouns were historically the names of mythical ancestors. Tabooing of the names caused the use of allegories in form of interrogative, indefi nite, negative pronouns. The substitutes of the names became the key elements of word formation: kaj “duck” (totem); kaj “who”, “what”, “what”; kajdo “why”, “what for”; kajne “nothing”.

We consider two types of modifications of Born-Infeld gravity in the Palatini formulation and explore their dynamics in the early universe. One of these families considers f(R) corrections to the Born-Infeld Lagrangian, which can be seen as modifications of the dynamics produced by the quantum effects of matter, while the other consists on different powers of the elementary building block of the Born-Infeld Lagrangian, which we denote by |Ωˆ|. We find that the two types of nonsingular solutions that arise in the original Born-Infeld theory are also present in these extensions, being bouncing solutions a stable and robust branch. Singular solutions with a period of approximate de Sitter inflation are found even in universes dominated by radiation.

At the present stage the state needs a healthy and physically developed generation who would assimilate cultural values of a multinational society and this need is growing. Analysis of scientific, methodological, psychological and educational literature allows us to conclude that the problem of integration of the national cultures of the peoples of Russia in the physical education of preschool children is not studied enough, thus it is of current interest and requires further development. Terminological certainty is one of the conditions for the successful introduction of the integration of national cultures in the physical education of preschool children. The article presents a methodology of working with post-modernist text, while teaching Russian as a foreign language. During the analysis, it is necessary to take into account specific characteristics such as the ‘out of the text’ information, implicitness and multiple meanings, deconstruction, and irony. The proposed methodology includes three steps: working with the cultural and historic context before taking up the text, interpreting the meaning of the fiction text and language based exercises, with special attention paid to them. The post-modernist text is considered an original fiction text and at the same time as didactic material. The case study of the short story by V. Pelevin illustrates basic characteristics of the post-modernist text and presents examples of language based exercises which can be used in audience speaking another language.

Introduction. The need to introduce teaching methods contributing to the development of a multilingual educational space in Russian universities is due to the necessity of increasing competitiveness of Russian higher education. Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is one of the methods for solving this problem. However, its successful implementation requires additional training of subject teachers, which implies the development of a set of necessary competencies, which in the framework of this study is defined as CLIL-competence. The objective is to define CLIL-competence of a subject teacher, describe its components, assessment criteria, and propose the ways of its development. Material and methods. The theoretical methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization foreign and domestic research on competencies necessary for the high-quality CLIL-training implementation are applied. Using the method of pedagogical modeling, development of the CLIL-competence of a subject teacher and approaches to measuring its level are described on a step-by-step basis. The method of comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature describing the world practices of implementing CLIL, and the content of the exam TKT: CLIL have determined the content of the advanced training course aimed to develop the CLIL-competence of a subject teacher. Results and discussion. The concept of “CLIL-competence of a subject teacher” has been derived on the basis of general cultural, general professional and professional competencies necessary for a subject teacher to implement CLIL. The criteria for assessing the level of this competence and their descriptors have been developed based on the didactic principles of CLIL and the content of the exam TKT: CLIL. A pedagogical model for developing the CLILcompetence of a subject teacher has been built on the basis of the advanced training course “Teaching a subject in a foreign language based on CLIL” developed on the LMS Moodle platform. Conclusion. The effective implementation of CLIL being an approach contributing to the creation of a multilingual educational environment of a modern Russian university is associated with the need to develop an appropriate set of knowledge, skills and abilities among subject teachers, that is, a CLIL-competence. This task can be solved in the process of professional development using the method of pedagogical modeling.
