Popova L.F., Nakvasina E.N. ECOLOGICAL JUSTIFICATION OF RATIONING OF ZINC AND CO PPER IN SOILS OF ARKHANGELSK. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 2 (155). P. 156-163

Northern (Arctic) Federal University Named After M. Lomonosov, Arkhangelsk The article traces the limiting impact of zinc and copper in the soil-plant system, gives the scientific rationale and develops a regional system of environmental regulation of the content of heavy metals in soils of Arkhangelsk. Key points of comparison are concentrations of heavy metals in the soil, leading to a decrease in their accumulation (translocation) in plants, excess tissue in their maximum allowable concentrations and maximum allowable level, as well as the effect of the average soil phytotoxicity test applied to test-object (watercress). Critical level of these metals in the plant is achieved with a soil content of mobile forms of zinc at 5.0–13.0 mg / kg, copper – 2.0 mg / kg. This is below the maximum allowable concentration of mobile forms of heavy metals in soils of 1.5–1.8 times. Observes the decrease in the accumulation of zinc aerial parts of plants when the content in the soils of 45–50 mg / kg, copper – 4.2–5.2 mg / kg. There is a significant inverse relationship between phytotoxicity and content in the soils of zinc and copper. However, their concentration in the soil, leading to a moderate degree of phytotoxicity (30 %) accounted for zinc – 30 mg / kg for copper – 2.0 mg / kg, which is 1.3–1.5 times higher than the maximum allowable concentration mobile forms of heavy metals in soils. Based on regression analysis and comparison with regulatory measures adopted in Russia, has developed principles for the valuation of the regional conditions of the North. Set the concentration of total content and the content of mobile forms of zinc and copper, affecting the ecological status of grasses and soil phytotoxicity, picked averaged limiting concentration (total content and mobile forms) of these metals, which are soil polluters of Arkhangelsk.

Keywords: urban soils, zinc, copper, ecological condition grasses, soil phytotoxicity, limiting concentration

Grinshpon Y.S., Podstrigich A.G. SPECIAL FEATURES OF TEACHING HIGH-SCHOOL STUDENTS SKILLS FOR SOLVING MATHEMATICS PROBLEMS OF HIGHER COMPLEXITY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 8 (161). P. 48-52

From the standpoint of activity theory we discuss the methodological features of teaching students skills for solving mathematics problems of higher level of complexity. We propose a classification of this type of problems (problems with parameters, problems on divisibility, problems on the decimal representation of numbers, Diophantine equations, problems on finding the largest or smallest natural values satisfying given conditions, problems on the integer part of numbers, etc.) and a step-by-step method for solving them. For each type we provide a set of examples of non-standard problems with full solutions aimed at development of students’ positive motivation, independent thinking, and action skills necessary for their successful mastering of mathematical activity. The developed materials can be used as part of a school course in advanced study of mathematics, as well as to prepare students for the All-Russian Olympiads in mathematics.

Shevtsova G.V., Moskalets L.E. THE ROLE OF MOTIVATION IN THE PROFESSIONAL FOCUSED FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING IN A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 2 (220). P. 116-124

Introduction. The article provides a brief overview of the employment prospects of the technical universities graduates and describes one of the most urgent issues of modern Russian society which is the problem of successful employment of university graduates and optimal realization of their professional and personal potential. The realities of the modern Russian labor market are uncertain, so many university graduates do not have the opportunity to find a job in their specialty, to find a worthy application of the professional knowledge gained at the university. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to analyze the problems of motivation in foreign languages learning in the technical university and justify the need to develop certain measures to encourage motivation of students. Material and methods. In pedagogy and psychology, there are different approaches to understanding the essence, nature and structure of motivation. The methods of study and formulated interpretations of the concept “motivation” vary widely. In this article we analyzed pedagogical approaches, according to which motivation, actively involving students of technical higher education institution in the learning process, contributes to the formation of their foreign language competence. Results and discussion. As a result, the problem of creating certain conditions aimed at the increasing of the university graduates’ adaptability at the labor market is raised. This adaptability is based on the obtaining of additional knowledge and competencies. One of the ways to increase the competitiveness of the university graduates at the labor market is foreign language competence which is the complex of knowledge and skills that allows a university graduate to use a foreign language effectively both in professional activities and in social life. Moreover, foreign language competence is regarded today as an integral part of the general professional competence of a technical specialist. In order to obtain the optimal level of foreign language competence the authors recommend using the professional focused foreign language model which takes into account professional and language needs of technical specialists. The successful realization of professionally-focused foreign language education claims for a certain system of motivation, especially at technical universities, whose students have low motivation to study the foreign language due to the technical style of thinking and underestimation of the importance and value of foreign language knowledge in the future professional functioning. That is why the important pedagogical task is to motivate students to consciously perceive and learn a foreign language. Conclusion. Analyzing the general problems of motivation in the educational process, the authors generalize the pedagogical experience of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI). The article shows that professional development of future engineers, expansion of their socio-cultural, cognitive and informative horizons, are largely associated with the foreign language competence. The authors call for the technical universities teachers to expand the measures aimed at increasing the motivational level of students in the process of learning a foreign language.

Keywords: improving of the adaptability of university graduates, foreign language competence, motivation to learn a foreign language, optimal organization of the educational process, the development of cognitive and professional motives, professional focused foreign language training, the educational potential of a foreign language

Leonteva N.V. Methodological aspects of teaching schoolchildren to solve mathematical problems of increased complexity. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 2 (226). P. 16-25

Various solutions to mathematical problems can cause certain difficulties for schoolchildren. The use of a scheme allowing to organize and systematize the search for a solution to a problem makes it possible to ensure the interaction of participants in the educational process, aimed at creative initiative, mathematical intuition, activity, and independence in reasoning. The result is the ability of the student to solve various problems individually. The goal is to substantiate a step-by-step scheme for solving the problem for its application in the process of teaching mathematics to schoolchildren. The system and activity approach compose the research base. The work used such methods as generalization, systematization, classification, analysis of domestic and foreign studies. Russian and foreign researchers in their works divide the activity of schoolchildren in solving problems into separate stages, which contributes to the formation of the main methods of action aimed at obtaining educational results. The proposed schemes differ in content, as well as in the number of allocated stages.. Generalization and systematization of the studied experience made it possible to modify them taking into account the needs of the participants in the educational process. During training, the task of increased complexity is solved not only by the student, but also by the teacher. The above scheme summarizes their activities, makes it possible not only to analyze the problem, but also to characterize the methodological and methodological aspects of the solution. Accordingly, it includes the following stages: analytical, schematic, methodological, descriptive, verification, research, methodical. At the analytical and schematic stages, the actual search for a solution to the problem is carried out, its main content is represented using mathematical models and various schemes. At the methodological stage, the task is characterized from the point of view of the methods used and the mental operations used. The descriptive and verification stages are directed by recording the problem solution and his validate that includes logical, computing and other mistakes. During the research phase, an analysis of the conditions of the problem is carried out, the existence of its solution is determined when they change. The methodological stage enables the teacher to generalize and systematize issues related to learning to solve a problem. The scheme considered in this paper systematizes and structures the activities of both the teacher and students in solving problems for the gradual formation of the ability to search for it.

Shubina E.L. Constructions of the Type eine Tasse heiІer Kaffee and eine Art universelle Sprache in Their Relation to the Literary Norm of the German Language. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2005. Issue 4 (48). P. 70-73

The article is devoted to the unsufficiently studied problem in German linguistics related to the choice of syntactic subordination in the quantitative word combinations with the second component expanded by an adjective (participle) Nquant+AdjN and eine Art +AdjN. The material analysed has shown that despite recommendations of classic grammar reference books to choose co-ordination as a type of subordination for the syntactic structure of these constructions, the genitive and prepositional subordination still exists and is the most widely used one. Moreover, the hypothesis that the syntactic organization of these constructions is determined by the grammatical characteristics of their components has been confirmed.

Takata K. BRST APPROACH TO GAUGE INVARIANT HIGHER SPIN THEORY OF CONFORMAL FIELD IN FLAT SPACE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 13 (128). P. 155-158

We propose a closed higher-spin algebra and its representation that reproduces conformal invariant Lagrangian presented by Fradkin and Tseytlin. We use this algebra for constructing gauge invariant Lagrangian by BRST method. Lagrangian constructed by BRST method does not have any off-shell constraints or higher derivative terms as in the non-conformal case. As an example for spin 2 case in four space-time dimension, our Lagrangian agrees with that of conformal gravity by using gauge xing and equations of motions of auxiliary fields.

The method of component analysis which reconstructed the meanings of unproductive naming units was used for analyzing. This method allows explaining the meaning of berry flora words with the help of dividing lexemes into small meaningful units. Twenty three selkup berry flora words were analyzed and there were eight principles of naming units that formed such groups as berry functioning connected with its picking up and using as a food, connection of some berries with certain kinds of birds, colour characteristics of berries, mythological ideas of selkup people, curing period and berrying, taste properties of berries. The present article shows a lesson plan of an extra-curricular lesson for kindergarten children which was distinguished in the category „Teaching materials” in the International Competition for Teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language organised by Tomsk State Pedagogical University and the Polish-Russian Institute in Wroclaw (Poland). The main theme of the lesson is based on the topic: “Understanding Masha. Speaking humorously, nicely and interestingly about the Russian language and culture.” The lesson is to be organised as a non-obligatory workshop. The lesson plan contains objectives and tasks characteristic of a workshop, of which the most important ones consist in popularising the Russian language and culture, encouraging children to adopt an open attitude towards cultural otherness as well as making them understand and show tolerance towards another culture. The lesson plan enumerates and describes teaching and learning methods to be used during classes. Special attention is paid to the selection process of rhymes and songs for children to learn. It is proposed to choose texts which contain words similar to those in the native tongue. Repeating such words is fun for children and it gives them a sense of achievement. The lesson plan determines also the psychological and pedagogical aspects of the workshop. During the classes children do not only learn Russian words and find out about their geographical neighbour’s culture, but they also learn: working in groups (depending on the age colouring matrioshkas, making greeting cards with a picture of matrioshka, doing a puzzle with a picture of balalaika or samowar), learning behavioural patterns and values through play. This kind of extra-curricular classes constitutes a really absorbing way of popularizing the Russian language among children, but it also provides good practice for students (future teachers) who take part in preparing the event and can engage in organising a really interesting undertaking.
