In the eschatological variant of the myth the author discov¬ers the motives of the invasion of the Mongolian multi¬tudes into Russia as a part of Europe and their participa¬tion in the apocalyptical Christian plot. In another variant of the myth which is closer to the literature plot the hero is either escaping, or traveling, or is made to go to Mon¬golia, and Mongolia turns out to be either the domain of death, or the hero perishes or changes his status being subjected to the initiation. The Mongolian myth is widen¬ing to the Pan Mongolian one and in this way is being built into the Asian myth of Russia. | 1745 | |||||

| 1309 | The effects of a nonsimpiy connected spacetime with the topology of S1 x R3 in the vacua of QED and gauged-NJL theories are investigated. It is shown that the polarization effects of twisted and untwisted fermions in QED are equivalent, once the corresponding stable vacuum solution of each fermion class is taken into account. The photon propagation in QED is found to be anisotropic and characterized by several massive photon modes and a superluminal transverse mode. At small compactification radius the masses of the massive modes increase as the inverse of the radius, while the massless photon mode has a superluminal velocity that increases logarithmically with that distance. At low energies the photon masses lead to an effective confinement of the gauge fields into a (2+i)-dimensional manifold transverse to the compactified direction. In the gauged-NJL model, it is shown that for both twisted and untwisted fermions, the smaller the compactification radius, the larger the critical four-fermion coupling needed to generate a fermion-antifermion chiral symmetry breaking condensate. | 1744 | |||||

| 1313 | The article deals with complex and compound terms of physics in the Tatar language formed by combining of bases with complete relations of their components. This type of word formation is very common in the terminology of physics in the Tatar language. Basically, linguists use this method to form terms with two or more components. The scientific novelty of the article is that for the first time it gives the information about the methods of formation of complex and compound physics terms in the Tatar language. The article gives an explanation of the concept “complete relation”, types and examples of the Tatar terms of physics formed this way. Both complex and compound terms are formed by combining the bases with complete relations of their components, but the bulk is composed of compound words that have their own word-formation models. The first components of such terms are different parts of speech, and the second component is often the noun, less often the verb. Also, most of the compound terms of physics are multicomponent words, which consist of three, four, and five components. The first components of complex or compound terms are often terminological elements or commonly used international words. The authors come to the conclusion that multicomponent terms of physics which can consist of both own words of the Tatar language and international featuring Tatar component are basically formed by combining the bases with complete relations of their components. | 1325 | The article is devoted to development of a technique of training of foreign students in the Russian technical higher educational institution. The linguistic barrier is a basic reason which interferes with effective development of technical disciplines. The feature of technical disciplines is a large number of special terms and processes and the phenomena which can be described only by difficult technical formulations. The idea of this article is to search for methods to reduce the impact of the language barrier in the teaching of foreign students to Russian as a foreign language. The initial stage of training should be aimed at preparing students for training in the Russian-speaking environment. Preuniversity preparation became such a stage. Here students reach only elementary level. They are able to establish and maintain social contacts in standard situations of the daily life; they have a minimum of linguistic means, the vocabulary of such students can reach not less than a thousand of lexical units. After that the student passes to studying of special disciplines. The first step is training of the student for perception of special terminology. For this purpose foreign students were offered to study the bilingual glossary. The bilingual glossary included an interpretation of concepts in the Russian and the English languages. The reason of the choice of English is that it is an international language, in many countries it is the second official, most of electronic translators are adjusted to translate into English. The second step is the use of methods of visualization for the best perception of information. Illustrations (drawings, maps, schemes) and demonstrations (demonstration and studying of the device of special geodetic devices) were chosen as objects of visualization. The combination of these two acceptances in training of foreign students allowed to increase the level of knowledge of technical discipline considerably. | 1330 | The article deals with the Russian customers’ types with the specific features, peculiar to each type. General peculiarities, which represent modern Russian mentality and can be used to distinguish Russian customers from those of Europe and the USA, are considered too. These are, first of all, the large income-contrast between wealthy minority and poor majority of Russian population (there is a distinct stratification of Russian society), priority of material wellbeing and the lack of trust to advertising. These peculiarities are considered in the context of the marketing communication barriers, which occur in process of marketing message recognition by customers. There are five consequentially occurring barriers: attention; understanding; trusting; remembering and first actions. We analyze them in three aspects: 1) the influence of four factors, which characterize the marketing message, showing its quality and efficiency (these are form, contents, technical facilities and organization of the massage); 2) the influence of Russian customers’ peculiarities, which determine the smooth or hard coming of marketing message over this or that barrier of marketing communications; 3) making the set of marketing communication instruments, which could be most effective to overcome each barrier. As the result, we conclude that the stratification of Russian society into wealthy minority and poor majority is now the most actual peculiarity, which influence passing the four (of five) existing barriers and determines the set of marketing communication instruments for overcoming each of them. | 1332 | The verbs denoting independent movement on a firm surface in the Taz, central and southern dialects of the Selkup language are considered. In the dialects of the Selkup language the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion is represented by a significant amount of the verbs describing various ways of the movement, its nature, general orientation against the speaker, conditions in which this movement occurs, etc. There is a relatively little number of polysemantic verbs among the verbs of movement in the dialects of the Selkup language and the number of meanings of verbs is insignificant as well. Most Selkup verbs of motion (60 %) are monosemantic, about 60 % of meanings do not repeat, i.e. they are peculiar to one verb of motion. In the Selkup lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion the synonymic relations are poorly developed in comparison with Russian in spite of the fact that among the verbs of motion in the Selkup language the synonymy is more developed than in other lexico-semantic groups of the studied language. The verb qənqo is the central element of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The semantics of this verb does not include the description of conditions in which the movement occurs, its direction, way and mode. The verbs čāǯįgu and kwangu are the central elements of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the southern and central dialects of the Selkup language. Description of the general direction of the movement (making nearer or farther) and orientation in space is the most essential thing for the Selkup verbs of motion. There are several specifics of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the dialects of the Selkup language: existence of the space-oriented verbs; the verbs denoting movements in space made by means of certain devices / vehicles; almost full incompatibility of the verbs of motion with the abstract nouns and nouns denoting objects, incapable of the independent movement. The movement and the ability to the movement is a marker of animateness, on the basis of this marker representatives of the Selkup ethnos differentiate animated and inanimate, i.e. alive and dead. Everything that moves is animated. Keywords: verbs of motion, verbs of movement, movement direction, the Selkup language | 1740 | |||||

| 1334 | The article deals with the structure of a polycode text, which is a complex formation of semiotically heterogeneous components that are inextricably linked to each other. The peculiarities of their relationship make an urgent problem in modern linguistics due to the absence of a unified classification of sign systems represented in the text. In the articles published on the internet portal “THE ONION” verbal text is combined with iconic information blocks – photo and video materials, whose interaction leads to the formation of new meanings. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that the existing types of components correlation are thoroughly investigated and classified on the above stated material. As a result of the research three main types of correlation of iconic and verbal components are identified and their ratio is presented in the text of the article as a bar chart. Duplicating (split into partial repetition and complete repetition) and complimentary types of correlation are considered to be the most common that can be explained by the peculiarities of news texts: the iconic component usually repeats or backs up the verbal information block. The third type of their correlation demonstrates close integration of the verbal and iconic components whose relationship can be of two types – relations of correspondence and relations of opposition. The research proves that in the polycode news text the verbal component plays the leading role, while the iconic component serves as a visual aid. | 1335 | Introduction. Translation being one of the oldest types of activities is getting particular importance in the modern global world. Translators face the need to accelerate the translation speed, since the development of science, industry, trade, and other spheres of modern society depends on the speed and quality of translation of large amounts of information into different languages. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure the quality of translation under such conditions. The very concept of translation quality, although it has been the object of research for many years, is still not clearly defined, while there are different approaches to evaluating the quality of translation in general and specifically there is no single concept of the quality of written translations and a single generally accepted classification of translation errors. This means that such evaluations are not unified and their use may be doubtful. Aim and objectives. The aim of the article is to compare the main approaches to translation quality evaluation as well as existing standards, criteria and parameters for translation quality evaluation. Research methods. The research has used general scientific (methods of logic: analysis, synthesis, generalization); specific scientific (linguistic) methods: descriptive, comparative. Results and discussion. Translation theorists offer several approaches to evaluating the translation quality, which can be reduced to two large groups: quantitative and non-quantitative approaches. To regulate the quality of translations, different states have developed their own regulatory documents and standards. These documents differ significantly from each other: some documents contain requirements for the translation performed (European Translation Quality Standard), others list the types of translation and specify their difference from each other (Russian National Standards), others do not contain exact criteria for quality translation, but provide a list of provisions that need to be taken into account before translating, and also describe in detail the structure of the translation project (American Quality Standard). Conclusion. Organizations engaged in translation in practice use a wide range of national and international translation quality standards, quality evaluation scales, as well as modern tools to quantify the translation quality, i.e. special computer programs to evaluate the quality of translations. The criteria to evaluate the quality of such tools are translation errors, the classifications and typologies of which are presented in a huge number. The absence of a single standard of quality and the periodic inventions of new tools for evaluation of the translation quality are caused by the variety of criteria imposed on the quality of different texts (differ both in theme and function or style). Despite the obvious failure to cover the full range of possible criteria for the qualitative translation of the entire variety of texts, a quantitative evaluation of the formal component of the quality of translated texts is being implemented everywhere.
