Matviyenko O.V., Ushakov V.M. Numerical Investigation of the Structure of the Swirled Flow in the Cylindrical Chamber with the Porous Medium. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2003. Issue 4 (36). P. 14-24

Gas flow through porous media is characterized by large vortex structures and large friction coefficients, resulting in an extensive momentum and interphase energy exchange between gas and the solid phase. The model used for flow in porous regions is at once both a generalization of the Navier-Stokes equations and of Darcy's law commonly used for flows in porous regions. The model retains both advection and diffusion terms and so can be used where such effects are important. In deriving the continium equations, it assumed that 'infinitecimal' control volumes and surfaces are large relative to the interstitutal spacing of the porous medium, through small relative to the scales that we wish to resolve. Thus, given control cells and control surfaces are assumed to contain both solid and gas regions. Based on this model, an efficient numerical technique has been developed and a numerical algorithm has been produced to study the processes in the porous medium channel.

Chumachenko M.N. INTONATION AS THE WAY TO ACTUALISE THE MORAL PROBLEMS IN THE SHORT NOVEL “STROYBAT” BY SERGEY KALEDIN: FROM DOCUMENTALISM TO CONDITIONALITY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 11 (152). P. 109-114

Social and domestic background of the short novel “Stroybat” (Construction Battalion) today is archaic, but the problems of betrayal, the preservation of culture in a hostile environment, youthful irresponsibility remain up to date. The story representing retelling of events on behalf of the character, is richly intoned and intonation gives topical character to its main subjects. Sergey Kaledin builds his story at the intersection of many voice streams: through the detached comment of an “alien” character, combination of exalted and everyday speech, alien words, chronotop “cutins”, playing with the rhythm and text density. The art world of the story is actively sated with the cultural and paracultural signs which today have become part of “the Soviet myth”. In reader's perception they also don't contribute to dokumentalizm of “Stroybat”, and on the contrary, promote his perception as parables about the good and evil. The system of the speech creates a feeling of convention of terrible details of stroybat as a social phenomenon and allows the reader to focus on the inner life of the character.

Zhukova E.A. HIGH TECHNOLOGY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HUMAN ECOLOGY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 11 (152). P. 199-205

This article analyzes the impact of high technology (Hi-Tech) and high socio-humanitarian technologies (Hi-Hume) on the person. The increase of humanity’s technological capabilities is accompanied by the increase of our dependence on those capabilities. High technologies (information technology, nanotechnology and biotechnology) show the fragility and vulnerability of the person in front of them as generated power. Hi-Hume are aimed at manipulating individual and mass consciousness. To these technologies the author includes some modern marketing and management technologies which accompany Hi-Tech-manufacture (advertising, PR, personnel management and knowledge management, etc.). Hi-Hume promote the growth of human dependence on technology, because they form the new needs. The man begins to be seen as a natural-technical system (in Hi-Tech) or as a socio-technical system (in Hume), and the body and mind of the man as driven technological objects. This puts the problem of ecological safety of high technologies. Assessment of environmental safety on the basis of the «precautionary principle» should be held in respect as Hi-Tech and so Hi-Hume. The difficulties of their ecological expertise revealed: the lack of scientific data, scientific and technological backwardness of experts who carry out the assessment of environmental safety of Hi-Tech, secrecy in technoscience, mythologizing of Hi-Tech and veiled actions of Hi-Hume.

Pogodayeva M.V. DEVELOPMENT OF THE SAFE CHILDHOOD AREA. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 5 (182). P. 151-155

The article discusses the concept of the safe area of childhood and the necessity of its formation to ensure the safe development of the child. Development of the safe childhood area is aimed at reducing threats for child’s life and health and occurs in the course of interaction of an environment and kid’s private world, as well as in the task of creating a safety culture. The analysis of the relationship between the components of the safe childhood space was conducted using methods of statistics. The established causal relationships guide the development of a safe childhood area. Environmental conditions have a direct impact on the formation of safety culture in the child’s vital world. High ecological risks act as a motive for the formation of adaptive reactions, including safe behaviour. Adverse ecological conditions promote formation of children’s safety culture, while adverse social factors decelerate its development instead. Technological and social threats stimulate educational institution to develop health-saving technologies. The development of healthy and eco-friendly among pre-school educational institutions creates safe childhood space. Adaptive-developing environment of educational institutions is a condition of adaptation of the preschool child to the society and the preservation of his health. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of the professional choice by rural school students in the changing ideas about the essence of professional choice as a psychological and pedagogical problem. Material and methods. The empirical base of the study is represented by 15–18 years old school students and the middle-aged population of rural settlements in the north and south of the Tyumen region. Basic methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, questioning. Results and discussion. The authors examine professional choices in different contexts. The first context reflects the needs of society and the state in the professional development of an individual in a knowledge economy. The second context shows the need for a theoretical and methodological justification of the development of the content and scope of the concept of “professional choice”, its factors and mechanisms. The third context characterizes the peculiarities and problems of choosing a profession by rural school students. Conclusion. The results showed that, in general, there is a lack of maturity among school students in choosing a profession and understanding its importance in life values realization. Kim A.A., Shapovalova Y.Y., Mineev-Li V.E. LINGUOCULTURAL FEATURES OF THE SYMBOLISM OF SOME COLOR DESIGNATIONS AMONG THE BRITISH AND SLAVS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 3 (221). P. 34-45

Introduction. The focus of this paper is the observation and comparison of several symbolic connotations of British and Slavic basic color terms. Aim and objectives. The paper’s aim is to discuss cultural and linguistic commonalities and peculiarities of a few color terms and prepare educational resource for different disciplines, such as English, Russian as a foreign language, ethnolinguistic and linguacultural studies. Material and methods. This paper observes British and Slavic idioms with the component ‘color’ in its connotative meaning. A cross-disciplinary approach helps identify the essential place of color terms in interpreting linguistic picture of the world and emphasizes the integrative role of culture. We consolidate with ideas of L. Bloomfield and J. Lyons concerning connotative meaning in linguistic semantics. Results and discussion. Connotative meanings of color terms often become cultural symbols and serve as signs of some abstract concepts. Since color perceptions relate to the sensory sphere, they are easily transferred to the characteristics of emotions, dignity of character, behavior, appearance. Interpretation of color terms in their connotative meanings will provide insight into the national mentality. Connotative meanings reflect individualized situations based on national cultural values and norms of social life. In provided examples the basic meaning of a color term is becomingusually narrower. Conclusion. The comparative analysis of connotations of five color terms leads to following conclusions: 1) color is able to evoke certain emotions traced in languages in the form of idioms containing a color component; 2) differences in the semantic structure of color connotations in English and Russian are due to national and cultural peculiarities; 3) etymology of color terms and historical facts sometimes make it possible to establish the dependence of a symbol on practice; 4) the main (perhaps the most universal) source of color terms are natural objects with a characteristic color.
