Veliyev M. LYRICAL IMAGE OF THE HERO-GOVERNOR IN GAZI BURKHANEDDIN’S POETRY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 9 (150). P. 140-144

The poet-governors’ creation in the classical medieval Azerbaijani literature is considerably allocated and made out in a special direction as the poetokratic literature. The actually of research is in the formation of the problem of the poetic governor’s psychological portrait in the native language’s classical poetry (Ghazi Burkhaneddin, Jahanshakh Hagigi, Shakh Ismayil Khatayi, Molla Panah Vagif), shown in differential lines in the lyrical hero’s characteristic, in the analysis of ideologically-aesthetic value of this phenomenon which practically does not have analogues in the world literature. Ghazi Burkhaneddin (1344–1398) as one of the first founders of the given literature has displayed and has sung in its divan (the collection of lyrical verses) of the poet-governor’s heroic image. Well-known both in Azerbaijan and in all Near East as the religion scientist, the commander, the governor and the poet, it is one of the first lyric poets in the Azerbaijanian poetry. The questions demanding a parity of creative humanism and activity on government are contrasting to the portrait of the hero of this poetry. The love to Turkic culture which found its reflection in brillian Nizami Ganjevi’s works, has made an essential impact on formation of the image of Turkic hero in Kazi Burhaneddin’s lyrics. Besides, rulling the state, which he himself created, he has practically realized the great Nizami’s dreams about the ideal governor. The history of the world literature has proved that in cases when the powerfull governor as well turned out to be a talented poet, his lyrical hero fought for the rights and freedom of his people with more courage.

Tomberg O.V. “INNER MAN” IN CONCEPTUAL SPACE OF THE IMAGE OF THE EPIC HERO IN ANGLO-SAXON POETIC LINGUO-CULTURE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 4 (157). P. 174-177

The article focuses on describing the ways of revealing a phenomenon of “inner man” in conceptual space of the image of Anglo-Saxon epic hero. Despite the fact that revealing the hero’s “inner self” doesn’t fit within an epic genre framework it is not alien to Anglo-Saxon culture. The epic genre illustrates that feelings and emotions can be disclosed on other levels and by other means unlike contemporary interpretation of the phenomenon. The specific character of archaic folklore mentality can’t but influence the process of understanding and revealing the inner world of an epic hero through his actions and external manifestations. The inner space of the image of the epic hero is viewed in the light of the action approach which is coherent with the genre intention and functional meaning of the image in the culture framework.

Chervonnyy M.A., Vlasova A.A. STUDIES OF CONVERGENT LEARNING IN SCHOOL EDUCATION IN TEACHER TRAINING. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 5 (223). P. 123-131

Introduction. The modern level of convergence of sciences and technologies leads to changes in the content of school subjects and their new synthesis in the educational process. In regional school practice, new interdisciplinary connections and integrated courses are emerging, partially provided with methodological materials. The conditions and results of the development of convergent education in the region should be taken into account when preparing future teachers. The opening of pedagogical quantoriums and technoparks on the basis of higher pedagogical education organizations as a condition for the material and technical support of the educational process contributes to the formation of a broad natural science worldview of students-teachers. The analysis of research in the field of convergent education will allow us to form an idea of a new educational paradigm, to determine ways to transform the process of training a school teacher. Aim and objectives. To study the practices of implementing convergent learning in the general education process, as well as requests for training teachers with new qualities that allow the teacher to introduce these technologies into the educational process. Material and methods. The research methods were: a survey containing questions with a choice of one or multiple answers, and with free answers; grouping of answers; clustering of opinions, judgments and assessments; generalization and analysis. Results and discussion. Based on the conducted research, a rating of specialized education and integrated courses was established in 19 schools. The continuity of integration education between primary and high schools, opportunities and deficits for development has been established. Respondents see the best opportunity to implement convergent education in the implementation of project-based learning. Courses and events are equally evaluated. Conclusion. The conclusions obtained on the basis of the analysis of the research results allow us to assert that there are deficits: experimental activities in existing convergent school courses; carriers of interdisciplinary knowledge; integration of such school subjects as Technology – Robotics, Physics – Biology; equipping with teaching materials. At the same time, the positive trend that has emerged in the region in displaying the convergence of natural and exact sciences in school and university education, revealing the relationship of these sciences with technologies on the example of megaprojects, allows us to assert the possibility of solving problems. The results obtained will enrich future teachers with additional knowledge and universal competencies.

Si J., Zhang J. Reform of Teaching Foreign Literature on the Background of the “New Concept of the Humanities” (Experience of Implementation in Modern China’s Education System). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 1 (225). P. 76-85

The new concept of the humanities emphasizes breaking down barriers between different disciplines, creating a new system of disciplines and a knowledge system, emphasizing the development of students’ thinking abilities through the transfer of knowledge, and re-establishing the link between “teaching” and “learning”. The goal is to analyze the way of reforming the teaching of foreign literature in the context of the “new concept of the humanities”. The material of the study was the documents of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on the construction of a “new concept of the humanities”, the relevant research papers of the CNKI of China, as well as examples of the author’s training in teaching “Foreign Literature”. The study uses the literary method of research and the empirical method of research. In this context, the teaching of foreign literature should break down barriers between courses and integrate between courses. Foreign literature in various universities in China is divided into the history of foreign literature, the reading of foreign literature and the theory of foreign literature, but we must combine these courses in teaching. During the teaching of literary history knowledge, we must make students understand the characteristics of the literary language in original literary texts, we must penetrate the literary theory in the study of works, teach students to analyze specific literary texts through literary theory and criticism method, and realize the combination of theory and practice. In teaching foreign literature, we must not only have a global vision, but also have national and family feelings, in order to spread Chinese culture in the international arena and tell Chinese stories well and establish cultural confidence in cultural differences. Russian literature especially contains a deep patriotic spirit, humanitarian spirit, deep cultural heritage and civic consciousness. Through the teaching of this course, we guide students to create patriotism, build the consciousness of citizens and develop a humanitarian spirit. As a result, we will combine knowledge, ability, and a view of value in order to improve the ideological and moral literacy of students. While teaching, we encourage students to actively participate in teaching activities and discussions. Interactive activities between teachers and students can mobilize students’ enthusiasm, stimulate their creativity, provide them with opportunities to use and demonstrate their own abilities, and help them improve their language skills. At the same time, teaching foreign literature can not only impart knowledge, but also cultivate thinking ability and stimulate students’ imagination ability. The use of auxiliary tools such as multimedia, internet, film, boutique course site, can not only expand the scope of the curriculum of literature courses and make the teaching method diversified, but also keep in touch with information technology, digital culture and the network. This teaching method can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning and form a virtuous learning cycle. Teachers should introduce their research results, research trends, as well as scientific methods in the classroom, constantly enrich and update teaching content, conduct flexible classes, ensure students learn the latest knowledge and cutting edge concepts, at the same time cultivate students’ interests in scientific research, improve the ability of students in research and stimulate the interests of students in research. At present, assessments of foreign literature studies at various universities in China are in writing. This assessment method does not contribute to the development of creative abilities and the improvement of students’ literary assessment and analysis abilities. Therefore, we are trying to use a combination of written tests and oral tests in the assessment of learning to comprehensively improve students’ language skills and cultural literacy. The “new concept of the humanities” is to throw off the unreasonable barriers set by disciplines, not bound by the boundaries of invisible disciplines. The “new concept of the humanities” are the inevitable result of the humanities and social sciences adapting to social development. An integral task of teaching foreign literature is to cultivate outstanding talents who can serve the needs of the country and take responsibility for national revival against the backdrop of the “new concept of the humanities”.

Chukavina A.G. Language representation of the concept “loneliness” in the G. G. Marquez’s novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 4 (228). P. 52-59

The ways of verbalizing the concept “loneliness” in the original text of G. G. Marquez’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude”. The analysis made it possible to model the concept by constructing its semantic field, highlighting the core and peripheral zones of the concept. It is shown that the artistic concept has its own distinctive features and requires a special method of analysis. The purpose of this study is to identify ways of verbalizing and modeling the concept of loneliness in the novel by G. G. Marquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude” (on the material of the Spanish language). The novelty of the work lies in the fact that it carried out a conceptual analysis of loneliness in the original text, which has not yet been included in the field of linguistic research: a semantic field has been built, the core and peripheral zones of the concept have been identified, cognitive signs have been established for each of the core lexemes, and also cognitive features of objective images. The research material is the novel by G. G. Marquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude” in the Spanish language. The empirical base of the study was formed using a descriptive method, which included the use of a continuous sample. In addition, the study uses the method of conceptual text analysis, which includes methods for describing the core and periphery of the concept, analyzing dictionary definitions and describing the content of the concept. As a result of the analysis of the methods of verbalization of the concept of loneliness, the semantic field of the concept was modeled, its core and periphery were identified. The core zone of the concept includes the keyword-representative of the concept and other lexical units of the derivational nest. Three groups of lexemes nominating loneliness, as well as images of loneliness created with the help of metaphorical means, were assigned to the periphery of the concept. The concept can be modeled by referring to the construction of a semantic field. The analysis showed that the semantic field of the concept of loneliness is a complex system, the units of which are united by common semantic features. The concept “loneliness” is verbalized in the novel by means of lexemes included in the core and periphery of the concept. In addition, the images of loneliness, presented with the help of metaphorical means, are of great importance.

Yan K., Song T. Regional research on language studies and language and culture research methods (focusing on problem statement) . Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 3 (233). P. 93-102

This paper focuses on describing the approaches of linguistic nationology and linguistic culturology in the study of geography. The purpose of this study is to reveal some characteristics of linguistic nationology and linguistic culturology in the study of geography. The language country approach allows for an understanding of the linguistic features of a particular country or region, taking into account historical, sociocultural and political factors. The main tasks of national language research include studying the differences of language structure, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation in different regions, studying dialects, national variants of languages and the characteristics of language workshops and exchanges. This approach contributes to a better understanding of the cultural identity, identity and habits of a people and their integration with the language. The linguistic and cultural approach in the study of language countries aims to study the relationship between language and culture and national mentality, which involves analyzing the expression forms of language and culture and the interaction between language and cultural values in language users’ speech and mentality. This approach allows for a better understanding of the lifestyles, values, world views, traditions and customs of different language communities. The combination of linguistic nationology and linguistic culturology enables people to have a comprehensive understanding of the language and culture of a certain region. This method is an important tool for scholars, teachers and all those interested in studying the languages and cultures of different peoples. It promotes better mutual understanding and the development of cross-cultural ability. This paper introduces the basic ways to study regional problems. This paper reviews the basic problems involved in the formation and development of linguistic regionalism as an interdisciplinary subject. It reveals the basic similarities and differences between the concepts of “linguistic geography” and “linguistic geography”. This paper expounds the significance of language nationology and language culturology to the study of regionalism. Sarkisova A.Y. VERBALIZATION OF AXIOLOGICAL FRAGMENTS OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS IN PARADOXICAL STATEMENTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 4 (210). P. 102-109

Introduction. The description of the linguo-axiological nature of the paradox is a promising vector for its linguistic research. The very properties of the paradox determine this. The following properties characterize the paradoxical statement: the explication of a deeply personal world perception, meaning formation as an intention, the presence of background axiologically significant information for this linguistic cultural community, the reflection of the world’s contradictions and the paradoxical nature of human consciousness itself. The purpose of the work is to identify and describe the fragments of values and attitudes of the Russian consciousness, which a paradoxical statement expresses. Material and methods. When analyzing the language material, the author uses the methods of axiological linguistics: linguo-axiological reflection, linguo-axiological description and linguo-axiological interpretation. Russian statements of a paradoxical nature are used as material: author’s, anonymous, and also the products of collective creativity. Results and discussion. The study of the axiological component of paradoxical statements allows to specify and illustrate vivid language examples the following properties of the Russian mentality: the rejection of dogmatism and irrational nature of the dominant mental models; the priority of the emotional-mental sphere of the individual over the intellectual-rational, which is manifested in distrust of formal logical postulates. The realization of the epistemological function of the paradox turns into an axiological plane with the newly discovered meaning of capital truths and basic values. The activation of understanding provoked by the paradox is in tune with the Russian person’s desire for knowledge and self-knowledge, inquisitive spiritual searches, and the desire to “appropriate” the truth, that is, to find a personal meaning. From the syntactic point of view, a paradoxical statement is often based on the principle of parallelism and contrast: in addition to the correlation of the recognizable and the new, values that are alien and inherent in the Russian conceptual sphere are clarified (for example, the concepts “conscience” and “fair”). Paradoxical statement is also interesting as a form of metalanguage reflection, which is especially relevant for the Russian mentality with its high attitude to the word as a logos. Conclusion. Axiologically colored features of the Russian language mentality find active expression in paradoxical language forms. The results of the research and the proposed selection of examples may have theoretical and practical significance for the linguistic axiological modeling and reconstruction of the axiosphere of the Russian language picture of the world.

Bazhenova E.A., Karpova T.B. CREATIVE STYLISTICS: ONTOLOGY AND DIDACTICS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 2 (220). P. 135-143

Introduction. The contents and linguistic-didactic potential of the new linguistic trend are studied in the article from the viewpoint of functional-stylistics. Aim and objectives – developing the ideas of N. A. Kupina and T. V. Matveeva, the founders of creative stylistics, and extending of its problematic. Material and methods. M. N. Kozhyna, N. A. Kupina, T. V. Matveeva, M. P. Kotyurova and others served as the theoretical material for the article; fragments of texts, which represent the creativity of their authors, served as empirical material. The research uses functional-stylistic and interdisciplinary approaches that analyze speech creativity in its extralinguistic causality. Results and discussion. The article reveals that the rise of creative stylistics as an independent area of speech studies was caused by M. N. Kozhina’s ideas on the differentiation between linguistic and verbal expressions. The links of creative stylistics with a number of disciplines united by anthropocentric paradigm are discussed, that is: resource stylistics, linguistic-pragmatics, discourse theory, etc. The tasks of creative stylistics are specified with the authors taking into account N. A. Kupina’s and T. V. Matveyeva’s conception. In the article the authors present the specificity of creative component in functional varieties of written speech: artistic, media, scientific and official texts. The authors find that creativity relates not only to surface layer but also to the semantic layer of the text, that diversity of manifestation depends on the functional, stylistic and discursive parameters of speech. The authors provide the examples of both productive and non-productive use of creative media in the texts of network literature, media and advertising. The authors point out that creativity in scientific texts is connected with the nature of cognitive activity, that creativity manifests itself through intellectual expressiveness while presenting new knowledge, that the scientist’s individual speech style influences the presentation. In the official sphere, creativity is associated with the emergence of new interactive forms of communication between administration and community and it is found primarily in non-documentary genres. Based on the achievements of creative pedagogics, the objectives and contents of adjacent applied disciplines (didactics, speech culture etc.) are adjusted to the necessity of forming a creative linguistic personality (in demand in the modern society). It is stated that the complex approach to language teaching, including verbal-semantic, cognitive and pragmatic-stylistic components of didactics helps to respond to the challenge. Conclusion. The interpretation of creativity with extralinguistic and discursive factors of communication being taken into account fits in the paradigm of modern speech studies and provides wide opportunities for creative stylistics in the research of the creative component of speech activity in all its diversity.

Expansion of professional communication, business talks with foreign partners, work with the technical documentation in a foreign language, the importance of the traineeships abroad require more use of foreign language in the training of future engineers. Therefore, the subject “Foreign Language” has a special place, because it should provide not only the language itself, but the country’s culture and language, and by comparison it may overshadow the peculiarities of national culture and acquaint with universal values. In other words, foreign language should contribute to the education of students enrolled in non-language majors, in the context of intercultural dialogue. This, in its turn requires knowledge of norms and traditions of communication of people-native speakers, that is all that is meant by communication behavior as part of the national culture. Knowledge of the rules and traditions of communication allows the participants of the speech act, belonging to different national cultures, adequately perceive and understand each other, which contributes to intercultural communication.

LINGUISTIC DERIVATIVES OF USING JARGNONISMS IN TEACHING THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AS A FOREIGN IN THE CHINESE AUDIENCE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 10 (187). P. 70-78

The article deals with the linguodidactic potential of jargon, realized in the classes on teaching Russian as a foreign language in the Chinese audience. The main attention is paid to different uses of jargon for the implementation of the linguistic goal of teaching a foreigner to the colloquial Russian language, through which interpersonal communication is carried out in the conditions of everyday interaction. The relevance of the article is due to the growing importance of multicultural communication and the strengthening of Russian-Chinese contacts, including linguistic ones. The scientific novelty of the issue under consideration is the possibility of examining the extraliterary linguistic facts (in this study – jargon) from the point of view of linguodidactic and linguistic cultural units used in classes in Russian as a foreign language in the Chinese audience. As an empirical material for our research, texts written in various Internet genres were used: blogs, correspondence in chats and forums, posts in social networks. As a material for the study, we considered the texts of the decoding of the audio recordings of the speech of the characters in the television series and the heroes of the TV show. All these varieties of oral and written texts can serve as a linguistic guideline for mastering the Russian language as a foreign language. In them, in huge numbers, there are extra-literary units, including jargon. Note that the stated texts are oriented, in majority, to the youth part of the viewers and Internet users.

Liventsova E.Y., Rumyantseva T.B. The situation problem solving method in the practice of forming universal competencies of engineering students. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 5 (235). P. 58-66

The problem of high-quality education for engineering and IT students should be regularly reviewed and kept up-to-date in conditions of the current political and socio-economic situation. To meet the demands of the labor market, engineering and IT students should possess not only subject-specific competencies but also universal (non-subject) competencies that make it easier to navigate different life situations, to communicate effectively, to work in a team, to think critically, etc. Therefore, it becomes important to introduce practice-focused learning technologies and methods into the educational process in order to develop universal competencies. The purpose of the article is to summarize the pedagogical experience in integrating the situational problem solving method (case method) into the educational process and to identify its advantages and limitations. The study is based on the empirical experience of application of the situational problem solving method (case method) in the educational process at the Faculty of Innovative Technologies of Tomsk State University within the subject “Professional Communication in English”. In the paper, the authors rely on the principles of system-activity and competency-based approaches. The experimental use of the situational problem solving method (case method) in the process of teaching English for professional purposes proved not only the great interest of students in this type of creative work, but also the importance of using this method in the educational process. This method contributes to the development of students’ critical thinking, their ability to apply knowledge in new situations, and the development of students’ creativity and intellectual abilities. Presenting the results of solving cases in a foreign language is an important tool for the formation of communicative competence necessary for students in their future professional activities. However, the situational problem solving method has a number of limitations related mainly to the procedural issues of its application in the educational process. The authors conclude that the integration of the situational problem solving method into the educational process contributes to the development of universal competencies of engineering and IT students and can be applied as a type of pedagogical practice within the subjects of the existing educational programs without introduction of extra special courses for the development of such competencies.

Kastro R.A., Khuzhakulov E.S. Two-Electron Centers with Negative Correlation Energy in the Pb1-xGexSe and Pb1-xGexSe Solid Solutions. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 6 (57). P. 19-23

It was shown that the charge state of the 73Ge antistructural defect arising in the anion sublattice of PbS and PbSe after radioactive decay of 73As does not depend on the Fermi level position. In contrast, the 73Ge center in the cation sublattice of PbS and PbSe acts like an electrically active substitutional impurity: in n-type samples the Mossbauer spectrum corresponds to the neutral state of a donor center (Ge2+), while in p-type samples it corresponds to the twice ionized state of this center (Ge4+). In the case of partially compensated samples of PbSe the fast electron exchange between neutral and ionized donor centers is revealed. It was demonstrated by means of the Mossbauer spectroscopy on the 119Sn isotope that the energy levels of germanium are above the levels formed by tin impurity atoms in these semiconductors
