| 6205 | In the 20th century, the phenomenon of stereotype started to attract wide scientific attention in the field of humanities, due to the occurred awareness of the influence of socio-cultural context on an individual. Nowadays we can see a growing interest in the research of stereotyping in pedagogical discourse, because while being seemingly unbiased, pedagogical discourse is subject to ideological influence and involves perception of information that inevitably transmits ethnic and cultural stereotypes and prejudices. That fact forms the necessity of detecting and researching the ideological content in written foreign language learning materials. The aim is to describe various ways in which heterostereotypes are verbalized in Japanese language textbooks for foreigners. The research is based on Japanese language textbooks for foreigners of elementary and intermediate level of proficiency. The major methods used are qualitative-quantitative, contextual and discourse analysis as well as some elements of linguocultural analysis. In the content of the analyzed textbooks we see the elements of stereotypical image of a foreigner represented by various linguistic means. On the vocabulary level, there are multiple positive characteristics of appearance, personality traits and Japanese language skills of the foreign characters residing in Japan. At the same time, grammatical structures, the existence of presupposition in some sentences, and the thematic selection of narratives often emphasize the insufficient level of integration of the foreign characters into Japanese society through the presumption of their temporary status in Japan. In addition, foreigners, especially Western culture bearers, are often shown making communicative mistakes, violating Japanese etiquette rules and causing trouble for Japanese characters. The analysis demonstrates main stereotypical features of the image of a foreigner in Japanese textbooks and the ways of their linguistic representation. Established patterns reveal the contradiction between the intentional transmission of the message of Japan’s openness towards foreigners and the perception of a foreigner as a member of the “out-group” that is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. | 6206 | The comparative study of closely related literatures seems to be a relevant direction in modern humanities. This perspective of the study allows us to identify the creative uniqueness of the work, the national basis and methods of literary reception through the disclosure of literary and sociocultural connections, and forms the openness of consciousness to the perception of foreign cultural codes and meanings. The creative individuality of Viktor Kozko was formed in the Belarusian literary process of the last third of the twentieth century, when there was an increase in the existential orientation of prose. Mythopoeticism is characterized by its rootedness in the universal humanistic constants of national specificity. The main stylistic changes occur at the junction of the artistic systems of realism – modernism, realism – postmodernism. The emergence of diffuse phenomena is due to both the individual author’s creative experiment and the general stylistic trends of the era. Modernist intentions in Belarusian literature have a pronounced folklore and mythological basis, which determined the predominance of authentic elements, helped to verbalize unconscious categories, making them the subject of author and reader reflection. Mariam Petrosyan worked on the novel “The Gray House” for almost two decades (1991–2009). The literary process at the turn of the 20th–21st centuries, on the one hand, demonstrates the completion of a certain sociocultural stage, on the other, it indicates the beginning of a new historical and cultural cycle. It is no coincidence that the allegorical nature of the novel satisfies the aesthetic and cognitive needs of the time – to create a metonymic image of modern society. Both prose writers actively use various types of secondary artistic conventions. Depending on the dominant type of convention and the dominant artistic technique, the following ways of enriching realistic aesthetics with means of non-classical artistry can be distinguished: actualization of surreal aesthetics; synthesis of realistic and fantastic; appeal to folklore and mythological motifs, mythological ways of understanding the world. The methods of mythological quotation used in the novels by Mariam Petrosyan “The Gray House” and Viktor Kozko’s “Chronicle of an orphanage garden” when embodying the images of teachers and students, topoi of the house and garden, neomythological methods of modeling reality allowed the writers to create a unique spatiotemporal organization of works, explicate national cultural codes. | 6213 | Introduction. One of the goals of youth policy in the Russian Federation is the formation of a system of moral and semantic guidelines that can allow us to resist the ideology of extremism, nationalism, manifestations of xenophobia, discrimination and other negative social phenomena. Under the FSES university graduates are required to be able to navigate the socio-political environment, to have their own worldview, ideals and humanistic values, to have the ability to self-develop. Therefore, the active phase of youth education should be continued today beyond school education – in higher education. This requires the reanimation of the educational potential of universities. The main task of educating students at the university falls on the shoulders of curators of academic groups and tutors. The aim of the article is to compare the educational roles of curators and tutors in higher education. Material and methods. The material of the study was dissertations and articles in pedagogical periodicals devoted to the study of the activities of curators and tutors of universities, as well as the results of the practical organization of the work of a team of curators in a technical university. The study used the method of contextual analysis of publications and the setting of a pedagogical experiment to identify the effectiveness of the educational work of curators of student groups. Results and discussion. This article compares the educational roles of curators and tutors in higher education. It is noted that unlike tutors, the professionogram of curators of academic groups is not legally defined, their official duties are regulated by local acts established by universities independently. Comparing the functional responsibilities of tutors and curators shows the commonality of their educational roles, both categories are mentors of young people, implementing informal transfer of knowledge and social experience, providing assistance in personal and professional development. It is determined that the curator of the academic group is an employee of the educational organization from the teaching staff, who provides tutor support and academic guidance to the student group, organizes the educational and extracurricular activities of students with the aim of adaptation, harmonious development, personal and professional development of each student. It is concluded that the full implementation of the activities of academic groups’ curators requires the creation of an appropriate system of organizational and methodological support for this activity, including psychological and pedagogical training of academic groups’ curators. Conclusion. It is concluded that for the full implementation of the activities of curators of academic groups at a technical university, it is necessary to create an appropriate system of organizational and methodological support for this activity, including the psychological and pedagogical training of curators. | 6219 | The results of investigation of the fullerene C60 ground state electron structure obtained with the use of model spherical-symmetric potentials of electron-nuclear interaction are presented. The following models: the rectangular potential well, the potential of the uniformly charged sphere, and the potential “in a chosen direction” are used in the calculations. The new potential “in a chosen direction” has been used for the first time, so that the corresponding results are of the most interest. We suppose this potential takes into account, to a certain extend, the real geometry of the molecule C60 and the screening of the nuclei Coulomb field by the inner-shell electrons. The single-electron energies are calculated in both Hartree and Hartree-Fock approximations for the averaged term configuration of 60 outermost valence electrons. The inner-shell electrons are included effectively into the molecular ionic core. The parameters of the potential are chosen to provide the best correspondence of single-electron energies and the experimental ionization thresholds IP1=7.58 eV , IP2=11.50 eV. | 6222 | The study of modern standards and requirements for higher education institutions in Russia and Germany leads to the idea that learning a foreign language becomes the task of undergraduate or graduate students themselves. The value of academic mobility which to a certain extent is implemented in all higher schools of Russia to achieve the quality of bachelor’s or master’s degree is presently being studied. The introduction of this technique to the educational process requires the appropriate training and support on the part of foreign language teachers. It is necessary to consider both the psychological and communicative training of students. The basis for formation of the professional foreign language competence is formed during the basic training of a foreign language. The next step is the transition from general technical texts to special ones. It is important to complicate the teaching material gradually, use a variety of sources in order to give students the opportunity of finding some familiar elements in each following task. This will help them understand the text and remove the possible psychological and communicative problems. | 6223 | The study was carried out on the material of the poetic and prose texts of Yu. Vella (1948–2013), included in his fourth book “Talk to me...”. The dialogical intention is indicated in the title of the book, addressed to the Nenets student and the one who “would like to listen to the Nenets soul.” The structural features of the dialogical situation in the book “Talk to me...” are determined by the traditionalist type of artistic consciousness of the Nenets master of words, for whom the values of significance are, firstly, rootedness in the national cultural tradition, secondly, involvement in the process of ethno-confessional continuity, thirdly, a mythopoetic picture of the world and awareness of the harmony of existence in unity with the spiritualized natural world. The dialogue in the book is modeled by the poet in three interrelated areas: intercultural interaction in Russian, Nenets and French; aesthetic communication between the author and the reader (Nenets student, young reindeer herder, etc.) and intra-textual events in the form of friendly communication between the owner and the guests at the chuval, or the reindeer herder guessing riddles (“My riddles (riddles from Tatva)”), or the lyrical hero’s instructions to someone who is ready to open up to world in order to experience spiritual transformation on Nenets land (“Swan Hunt (dialogues)”). Yu. Vella, as a social and cultural leader of the Nenets of Western Siberia, felt responsible not only for the fate of his small people, but also for the lives of people caught in the zone of interethnic conflicts. Yu. Vella, as a social and cultural leader of the Nenets of Western Siberia, felt responsible not only for the fate of his small people, but also for the lives of people caught in the zone of interethnic conflicts. The poem “Swan Hunt (dialogues)” and the poems “The Highest Value” and “The Golden Fleece” are dedicated to the latter. The architectonics of the experience “The Highest Form of Harmony” expresses the idea that dialogue between people of different nationalities and religions is possible if we return to the direct (“childish”) perception of the world, which allows us to restore the value connection of a person with the natural Cosmos surrounding him. In conclusion, the mechanisms of interaction of ethnocultural components in texts under the general title “Talk to me (the story of one translation)” are considered from the point of view of the poet’s bilingual representation of the same work, reflected by the author in the commentary to his translation. | 6247 | The problem of the translatability of a literary text has remained urgent. At different times, there have been debates in literary science about whether it is permissible and possible to recreate an original work by means of a foreign language. In this article, the Bakhtin thesis on the “dialogue of cultures” and the provisions on the fundamental translatability of a work of art developed in the works of Russian comparative scientists are the starting points. The purpose is to analyze the poems of the American modernist poet Wallace Stevens and his Russian – language translations. The program poem by U. Stevens’ “Thirteen Ways to look at the Blackbird” and its translations into Russian served as the material for the study. The study uses the methods of linguo-stylistic analysis of language units, the method of philological analysis of a literary text, and comparative analysis. Creative works of Stevens reflect a general tendency of complexity of the poetic language that was earlier expressed by G. Elliot. Stevens’ poetry remains a mystery, has various interpretations while the author himself does not provide detailed and clear recommendations. The symbol of poetry for Stevens is music – the most abstract kind of art that is why any art should strive towards the state of music. In his poems, Stevens creates a world of imaginary, conditional and mysterious reality. The origins of his poetics go back to romanticism and symbolism, Coleridge’s understanding of the imagination, echoes of Nietzscheanism, Freudian and Jungian motifs. That is the reason why it can be challenging to understand what the author’s poems are about. It leads to multiple interpretations of Stevens’ works. This feature of the poetic style of the American author gives translators freedom when working on Stevens’ texts and actualizes some dominants of original works while obscuring others. An accurate translation of Stevens’ poems is not the same as a successful translation. That is why the researchers recommend to take into consideration his entire artistic heritage (including his theoretical research) when analyzing individual poems. Stevens’ individual poems become parts of a single hypertext that can be understood by having a complete image of an imaginary world created by the author. The paper considers one of the curriculum poems written by Stevens’ “Thirteen ways of looking at a blackbird” and the ways of implementation of the author’s conception in its Russian translations. The analysis of the selected translations made it possible to identify the translation made by Britanishsky as the closest to the concept of equivalence. His translation conveys the lexical content of the original poem, though there are significant deviations that deprive the poem of a holistic reconstruction of the author’s idea.
