The research is based on the names of mythic ancestors worshiped by the members of the Selkup nation. Morphemic division of the lexemes let define their possible initial meaning. The fact that the names of mythic ancestors are tabooed led to the process of euphemisation.

The words denoting meteorological phenomena are analysed in the paper. Some words are marked by consonantal stem-building suffixes which indicated active/animate nouns in Proto-Indoeuropean. A lot of these words belong to a vowel declension in Gothic that is connected with the change of the attitude to the world and the loss of an animate meaning. Despite this, etymological, morphological and lexico-semantic analysis proves that the words of this lexicosemantic group related to the active class in the past and meteorological/ atmospheric phenomena were accepted as animate by ancient Indo-Europeans.

Oxygen and carbon isotope content of Lake Siritkul sediments, accumulated during 11000–5000 14С yr. B.P. was studied. There was revealed coincidence of pollen-zones and climatic stages determined on the basis of isotopic analyses. The assumption of connection between atmospheric precipitation, evaporation and isotopic content of carbon and oxygen was confirmed with the help of pollen analysis.

The given article is devoted to the issues of teaching the scientific style of oral speech at a technical university. Based on many years of experience of working with student, graduate students, postgraduate students of Tomsk Polytechnic University, the authors propose the universal (independent of the scientific direction of students) content and form of teaching the scientific style of oral speech at the university. It is recommended to include the following topics to the course content of oral scientific speech: “The report as a genre of oral scientific speech”, “Elocution”, “The structure of the presentation of a scientific report”, “Presentation of a scientific report”, “Rules for scientific debate”. An “advanced lecture”, training and game are offered as the forms of classroom work, which allow to form the necessary knowledge basis of the principles of scientific oral communication; to develop skills; to stimulate students’ activity; to give students the opportunity to gain experience. This article contains examples of the use of the given forms of classroom work with the selected content.

A distinctive feature of contemporary linguistic research is its engagement with language actualization processes. This point finds its foundation in F. de Saussure’s conception distinguishing language, speech and speech activity which has given rise to various new trends with the purpose of exposing and examining the sense generating mechanisms of language in work. Analytical perspectives comprise a diversity of problems including the psychology of perception, interpretation and assessment of various phenomena, conventions of societal structures and communication modi. This originates a new interdisciplinary problem-solving plane with a new subject termed “discourse”. The phenomenon complexity and, consequently, the multiplicity of qualification and classification criteria bring forth a discord in the term (as well as the phenomenon) interpretation. There springs up a necessity to define its (the term and the phenomenon) status, correlations with other objects of linguistic analysis, such as text, genre, register. All these points, as well as the problem of term coinage and usage are in the focus of the article.

The phraseological meaning is a specific semantic category, characterized by an integral transference of meaning based fully or partially on the meanings of the components of the unit. This results in its complex structure which is of special scientific interest. The article focuses on the components of the phraseological meaning, states their specific features and correlation and offers the methodology of semantic analysis. It is a multistep process that considers all the constituents of the phraseological meaning: motivation, imagery component, inner form, denotative component, connotation and cultural component (studied by A. V. Kunin, V. N. Teliya, N. F. Alefirenko and others). The inner form reveals the way the phraseological meaning is formed and creates phraseological imagery. Motivation is a means of expressing the inner form. Metaphorical, metonymical or metaphtonymical transference of meaning forms the inner form of the unit. Phraseological semantics includes the grammatical meaning and the phraseological meaning proper. We single out several structural models of the latter, based on a number of combinations of the denotative macrocomponent (its identifying and characterizing parts) and stylistic, intensive, emotional and/or evaluative components of connotation. The cultural component can be a part of either denotation or connotation or both. The results can be applied in studying semantic peculiarities of different groups of phraseological units, with reference to their national specificity.

The research urgency is caused by the necessity of revealing the environmental factors that stimulate the formation of play competencies of children of preschool age. The purpose of the article is to identify meaningful saturation and potential of the home play environment and preschool education institution in terms of formation of senior preschoolers’ play skills. The methods of the problem research are participant observation and a survey, allowing a comprehensive analysis of the environmental factors of formation of play competence in preschool years. The authors present structural organization of play competence in senior preschool age, when the need for play is most significant. This need leads to the development of the ability to take on the role, to formulate a game goal, to put the game problem and a number of indicators of behavioral, cognitive and emotional-evaluative components. The article analyzes the specifics of the home play environment and the environment of the preschool educational organization and their role in the formation of play competencies in senior preschoolers. The materials of the article can be used in the practice of preschool organizations, in the activity of training and improving the professional qualifications of teachers of preschool organizations, in the practice of family education.

The developed on the basis of young weightlifters’ (aged 15) physical fitness model characteristics which enable to manage the work-out session more efficiently are considered in the article. The purpose of the presented publication is to show interference of the culture of Renaissance and imperouslypolitical sphere in France and Germany, referring to the materials of Russian and intrenational historiography. The contribution of the feudal elite and especially of the governors of the specified countries to the formation of the Renaissance there is analyzed (French king, German emperor and German territorial dukes). The political problems which were solved by the authority by means of new forms of architecture and literature, specificity of court culture of the epoch, the Renaissance type of the person of some representatives of the nobility are considered. The theoretical importance of the analysis of the historiographic material in the culture of the Renaissance and the humanism presented from positions of “new political history” consists in the revision of the estimation of the cultural role of the European elites of the Middle Ages and an early modern. From the practical side materials of the publication can be used in teaching of such disciplines as “History of Middle Ages”, “Cultural studies (Culturology)”, “World art”; in preparation of methodical publications according to disciplines, and also in qualifying and research works on history of the Middle Ages and early New time.

Malanina Veronika Anatolyevna HIERARCHIES AND NETWORKS: COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGES OR DIVERSIFICATION? // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 12 (127). P. 61-64

The paper analyzes the two main approaches to the phenomenon of systems diversity: diversity as defect that must be eliminated by specialization and diversity as a merit, providing systems’ sustainability and flexibility. The size of single-purpose systems is constrained by market size only, a broad specialization objectively prevents the system from being small. It is shown that for any system organizing diversity in networks is more preferred strategy than strict implementing of comparative advantages within the hierarchies.

The method of substrate-induced respiration studied the dynamics of the rate of basal respiration, microbial biomass and metabolic quotient peat deposits oligotrophic bog (north-eastern part of the Vasyugan bog). It was determined that on average during the season microbial biomass values vary slightly with the depth and basal respiration of aerobic layers.

As a result of the analysis of lexical items that are part of the lexical-semantic group of «baby animals» the author allocated units formed by means of suffixation. Lukyantseva Lidiya Valentinovna, Imankulova Evgeniya Anatolyevna SPECIES COMPOSITION OF FRESH WATER BENTHIC TESTATE AMOEBAE IN BOTTOM SEDIMENTS FROM THE STREAMSIDE LAKES AND THE TOM RIVER (TOMSK TOWN) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 2 (155). P. 138-142

In the composition of communities of testate amoebae (Amoebozoa, Rhizaria) from the sediments of the shores of lakes and river Tom of Tomsk territory found 27 species and subspecies. Characteristic elements of the fauna are eurytopic species with wide geographical distribution: Arcella discoides difficilis Deflandre, Centropyxis discoides (Penard) Deflandre, Difflugia bidens Penard, Difflugia corona Wallich., Difflugia schurmanni van Oye. The diversity of species in each habitat ranges from 6 (Sennaya Kuria) to 13 (Boyarskoe Lake, the Tom River) species per sample. The density of organisms did not exceed 2,000 speciments/m 2. Changes in the diversity of the amoebae community in Sennaja Kuria are considered as a result of mechanical cleaning of the bed of the lake produced in 2012–2013.

This article introduces the information about the absolute age of the relict bog, situated in the poligonal bogs zone (in the south of Gydan peninsula). It is established that this bog isn’t «relic», because it was formed in Holocene. The comparison of peat accumulation of this bog and of oligotrophic bogs was organized and some particular qualities of peat accumulation in the evolution of «relict» peatlands were identified. Also the article presents the botanical composition of the peat deposit of the object of study. The comparison of the Holocene climatic variations on Russian Plane and in Western Siberia for the oligotrophic bogs zone is considered. It is proved that for the reconstruction of climatic variations for the «relict» peat deposit in the Far North regions it’s necessary to consider the inertness of cryogenic processes.
