| 6501 | The article interrogates the chronotope of the ravine which is virtually unexplored in Russian literature of the 19th century (I. S. Turgenev, I. A. Goncharov, L. N. Tolstoy), and mainly in A. P. Chekhov’s prose (Thieves, Gusev, In a native corner, In the ravine). Semantics of the absolute turn inherent in the ravine as a cultural sign evolves into Chekhov's works corresponding to the general evolution of his work in its last period to the universal capacity never seen before. The way the ravine is transformed by Chekhov in his works clearly and succinctly reveals the logic of Chekhov’s creative evolution on the whole. Conclusions drawn in the article are based on coherent and versatile comparative analysis of the texts presenting primary literary and figurative motifs which embody the concept basis of Chekhov’s works (life, death, everything / nothing, and other) along with chronotopos and narration analysis. | 6502 | Introduction. Categories, traditionally studied in philosophy, got into the sphere of linguistic interests with the development of cognitive investigations in linguistics, motivated by the fact that cognitive process of category formation is completed with the acquisition by the category of its name. Among various types of categories relevant for cognitive studies ontological and modus categories are found, some of them are formed and function due to crosscorrelation. Aim. The article is devoted to the analysis of the ontological category of absence (and its concept) and to the inquiry into functional interdependence of absence and the modus category of negation on the material of the Russian and English languages. Material and methods. Conceptual and semantic derivation in the field of scientific terminology caused the philosophical notion “ontological” to develop a new meaning in the context of the notion “category”. The scientific terminological word combination “ontological category” has rather a strong position in the linguistic methodology. The attribute “ontological” specifies the type of categories that are singled out from the universal continuum of human being (language world view). Absence refers to the sphere of ontological categories of a more general, abstract group (process, state, quality, object, etc.). The corresponding concept “otsutstviye/absence” is a universal and abstract knowledge structure of basic human experience. Although the vocabulary definitions of the concept names otsutstviye and absence are extremely generalized, the contexts in which the words can be used, highlight the dominant features of the concept, pointing to the related fundamental concepts, negation as a modus category being among them. Modus concepts exist jointly with their attributive conceptual fields. “Emptiness” of the concept of negation accounts for its being built in the concept of absence, their joint representation of unified, integrated knowledge. Conclusion. The investigation helps to clarify the specificity of ontological and modus categories interaction. It can be used to develop theoretical courses on cognitive studies in linguistics, lexicology, conceptology. | 6503 | Globalization processes in the economy, the strengthening of political and cultural ties between states, the spread of the Internet and distance learning technologies, which marked the 21st century, contributed to the rapid growth of international academic mobility. In this regard, the issue of overcoming cultural shock and the problem of linguocultural adaptation of foreign students in a foreign language environment becomes especially relevant. To identify the difficulties that affect the process of linguocultural adaptation in the Russian-speaking educational environment, we conducted an online survey of foreign students studying at Tyumen State University (Tyumen). According to the results of the survey, the majority of foreign students has never heard of the theory of culture shock, but all the respondents we interviewed have experienced it to a greater or lesser extent. Among the main problems, the respondents mentioned the language barrier, problems of socialization, new climate conditions, unfamiliar food, etc. In such case overcoming the language barrier directly influences the effectiveness of the educational process. The peculiarities of the grammatical system of the Russian language, the auditory perception of Russian speech, word stress rules, fast speaking rate of native speakers, articulation of some sounds, semantic differences between synonyms present the most difficult issues for foreign students learning the Russian language. The research findings show that in order to adapt successfully to the foreign language environment it is necessary to know verbal and nonverbal means of communication and to use them correctly according to the situation or context, to have a positive attitude towards the interaction with native speakers, to strive to know the host culture better and avoid stereotyping, to be aware of the values and norms of the host society, to be tolerant towards the cultural identity of another ethnic group. In general, foreign students studying in Russia see the positive results of overcoming culture shock and characterise cross-cultural adaptation as invaluable experience which fostered personal growth and unleashed their full potential, gave them an excellent opportunity to acquire new knowledge and competencies. | 6508 | Introduction. At present, the study of the linguistic picture of the world is carried out in various fields of the humanities. Verbalization and reconstruction of an individual picture of the world are one of the most important tasks of modern linguistics, this is carried out on the basis of an analysis of specific concepts. This article discusses the concept of theater in the individual-author’s world picture of M. Plisetskaya. The aim of our study is determining the conceptual, figurative and evaluative components of the concept of theater, which are characteristic of the individual author’s world picture of Maya Plisetskaya (M. P.) in the background of the national picture of the world. Material and methods. The study is based on the book of memoirs of the ballerina Maya Plisetskaya “I, Maya Plisetskaya”, as well as the National Corpus of the Russian Language and lexicographic sources of various types. In this study we use traditional methods and techniques of semasiological research (component, definitional, contextual, discursive analysis), and the results of these analyzes are consistently comprehended from cognitive perspective and, as a result, mental models are built. Results and discussion. Theater in the Russian picture of the world is one of the main concepts, it occupies an important place in the author’s world picture of M. Plisetskaya. Comparison of materials from explanatory and associative dictionaries and analyzes of fragments of texts, which are extracted from the National Corpus of the Russian Language, allow us to identify the conceptual, figurative and evaluative features of the concept in the national picture of the world. In Russian culture and literature, theater not only refers to art, but also affects the moral qualities of people, brings to them aesthetic pleasure, and contributes to the development of individual. We modeled the associative-semantic field of theater in memoir discourse to reconstruct the individual-author’s theater. The field includes 263 lexemes, divided into 6 microfields: dance and music terminology, theater as a building or place, people related to the theater, various types of theatrical activity, attributes of theatrical activity and theater in the system of the Soviet state. Having identified associations and evaluative discourses, which are associated with theater, we found high emotionality and expressiveness, the features of the theater (in most cases the Bolshoi Theater) at the value level can be divided into 4 parts: Bolshoi Theater in the paradigm of Soviet power, backstage of the Bolshoi, theater as heavy and dangerous work, and Bolshoi as the life and fate of M. Plisetskaya. Conclusion. M. P. saw the theater from the inside, this allows us to reveal the features of the concept in her individual author’s picture of the world: at the conceptual level, theater is wider and richer than in the national picture of the world, our associative-semantic field includes lexemes, which are associated with the stage, ballet, music, audience, ideological censorship, etc. At the figurative and value levels, in the author’s view, theater is multifaceted; For the author, in her youth it appears as a source of pleasure and joy in difficult times, then the concept of theater correlates only with the Bolshoi, it becomes emotionally and evaluatively complicated: attitude of M. P. to theater is ambivalent: indignation, contempt for the Bolshoi in the paradigm of Soviet power, on the other hand, for M. P. theater is all her life, When it is about the stage, the public, and the creativity of the ballet, there are often positive emotional assessments. Value signs are expressed by emotional and evaluative vocabulary, linguistic and occasional metaphors, syntactic parallelism and emotional contrast. | 6510 | This article is devoted to the study of word order rules at the level of actual division of the sentence in Russian and Persian languages. The study and comparison of the communicative structure of Russian and Persian sentences, as well as word order rules at this level of the sentence, is relevant not only in the theoretical aspect, but also in the practical one, including to increase the efficiency of the formation of foreign communicative competence of students studying these languages as foreign ones, and also to improve the quality of translation from Russian into Persian and vice versa. The objectives of our research are to analyze and compare the actual division of a sentence, methods of its expression, as well as to identify the features and word order rules at the level of the communicative structure of a sentence in the languages under study in a comparative aspect. This study shows that there are correspondences and differences in the features and word order rules in the communicative structure of sentences between the languages under study. Both languages in neutral speech have the same patterns in the order of the components of the actual division of a sentence: the theme is always expressed at the beginning or towards the beginning of the sentence, and the rheme follows the theme and stands at the end or towards the end of the sentence. However, in expressively colored speech, each of these languages has its own specific features. This problem is associated with typological differences in the morphological structure of the Persian and Russian languages. Components of a sentence in the Russian language as one inflected language can, depending on the style, speech situation and purpose of the author, move in the sentence. Thus, in expressively colored speech when the author’s purpose changes, the word order in the communicative structure of the sentence also changes, since the movement of thought from the actual information to the initial information is reflected, the rheme is at the beginning of the sentence and the theme is expressed after it, in fact, actual information precedes initial information. In addition, based on the analysis of word order in the Russian language, we can say that the direct and inversion word order is associated with the function that these components of the sentence perform in the theme-rheme relationship. In other words, studying the rules of word order at the level of the actual division of the sentence in the Russian language allows us to identify the features of the syntactic (formal-grammatical) and stylistic structure of the sentence. However, Persian is considered a language with constant word order in a sentence, and there is no inversion word order at the level of the actual division of the sentence. In this language, contrary to the Russian language, initial information (theme) always in both neutral and expressively colored speech is expressed at the beginning of the sentence and the actual information (rheme) always follows it and comes at the end of the sentence. | 6519 | The article presents the results of Russian iconic words visual perception, taking into account the neurocognitive profile of the participants and using the “Lexical Solution” method in participants with a right-handedness and left-handedness. The procedure of psychosemantic research was carried out according to the classical scheme of “Lexical decision” in the paradigm of making a decision about a semantic stimulus as a word or not a word with a limited time to choose. Each participant was presented with three types of stimuli: sound-imitative (SI) words, divided into 4 groups according to the stages of deiconization or loss of iconicity (32 words – 8 from each group), non-SI words (32), non-words (64) in random order. During the test, the following series of indicators were recorded: the time of identification, the number of identification errors, the number of delays. The experimental session was preceded by a training session, during which 10 words and non-words were presented in random order. Also within the framework of this research, classical methods of assessing the neurocognitive profile of the participants were used. Based on the analysis of the results of the study, it can be concluded that respondents with left-handedness are characterized by rigidity and weak automation of cognitive functions, impulsivity, a wider range of equivalence. Participants with a leading left hand also, were more likely to give incorrect answers in the samples “SI-1”, “SI-3” and “non word”, spend more time and more often do not have time to give an answer to the SI-stimulus compared to right-handed respondents. At the same time, subjects with a leading right-hand visual perception of sound-forming words are more often more accurate than subjects with left-handers. The conducted study indicates statistically significant differences in the accuracy and speed of recognition of DI stimuli of different types in people who are right-handed or left-handed. The results obtained require additional clarifications on a larger sample to confirm the available data, which may be the next stage of the study. | 6521 | This article is devoted to the analysis of anthropomorphic metaphors in the English terminological system of oil and gas industry. The theoretical basis relies on the cognitive approach to metaphor, mostly on the conceptual theory of metaphor. The author describes the cognitive scheme “the oil and gas industry is a human being”. It was revealed that anthropomorphic metaphorization is one of the most effective ways of term-forming in the sphere of oil and gas. In the result of metaphorization, new terms are formed based on a cognitive mapping of lexical units, referring to the structure of human body, to a specific branch of study regarding external or functional similarities between the source domain and the target domain. The author considers the metaphorical shifting of anatomical structure of the human body, namely human face and the organs located on it, which proved to be an important source of metaphorization in creating English oil and gas terms. The analysis of the two constituent parts of this notional zone and revealing the cognitive structure schemes of their elements made it possible to bring to light the grounds of metaphoric shifting, as well as the modes of perception used in the process of metaphorization. | 6533 | The purpose of the article is the analysis of the significance of activity games for the development of educational independence of future teachers. The educational independence – the action allowing future teacher to open, and to appropriate further sense and content of professional activity, to seize ways of her implementation and improvement. Modern practice of preparation in higher education institution realizes often reproductive ways of training where future teacher learns to restore the accumulated experience of the organization of pedagogical activity. At the same time, he doesn’t seize ways of creation of point of the professional education. The purpose is to prove use of activity games in formation of educational independence as the special resource of vocational training promoting manifestation at future teachers of an initiative among future teachers in mastering the basics of pedagogical activity, assigning skills to organize their own educational activity, and mastering ways to improve it. The study material was a survey and survey of teachers and students of the Altai State Pedagogical University, which made it possible to identify problematic aspects in the formation of educational independence among future teachers due to the use of reproductive learning technologies. The data obtained gave the basis for the development and testing of activity games in pedagogical and methodological training, contributing to the discovery and assignment of educational independence as a way to improve professional activity. The analysis of the practice of forming educational independence among future teachers made it possible to establish that this action is presented mainly at the reproductive level, while all its components (motivational, cognitive, activity) are in a disconnected state. It was also found that the reason for the poor quality of educational independence is the lack of involvement of students in the process of their own education, which is expressed in the lack of initiative, motive and methods in mastering pedagogical activities, due to the use of reproductive technologies. Options for activity games used in pedagogical and methodological training are presented, as a result of which students master educational independence. | 6534 | The article analyzes the communicative and cognitive components of a dialogue that induce one of its participants to repeat what has been said and preliminarily reflect this fact in the form of a modus of repeated speaking. The study was carried out on the material of responses of the main corpus of the NCRN to the queries “once again to you”, “once again to you”, “once again to you”, “once again to you”. Except for cases of positive phatic (e.g., “thank you again”), such repetition of information by one of the dialogue participants is due to a communicative failure in the past, for which the speaker attributes responsibility to the interlocutor. The pragmatic prerequisite of such repetition is also the fact that the speaker attributes to himself a status not lower than that of the interlocutor. The cognitive basis of failure in the article is recognised as uncertainty of information, which can be removed or lowered as a result of understated (variant) repetition. It is shown that semantic varieties of uncertainty correlate with the intents of repetitive speech acts. For example, a repeated representative reduces the degree of incompleteness of knowledge or corrects the addressee’s misinterpretation of the information from the speaker’s point of view; a repeated directive and a repeated commission are initiated by an uncertain forecast regarding the further development of events. Repetition can be realised both in the interests of the speaker (imposing his interpretation of the events under discussion) and in the interests of the addressee (clarifying his ideas about the subject of speech). The theoretical significance of the study consists in clarifying the markers of the status positions of the participants of dialogues; the evaluation of the effectiveness of utterances with the explicated modus of repetitive speaking can be used in the practice of teaching communicative disciplines. | 6536 | Due to the changed priorities of education, the study of the processes of obtaining and transformation of the information by students is relevant. The article discusses the issue of working with the information, which is the basis of knowledge, which, in turn, is the basis for the formation of competencies. The provision of definitions of information is the most important for the learning process. It is shown that when presenting information it is necessary to take into account the psychophysical characteristics of the individual. Discusses the circulation of information in the process of its presentation, as well as the process of encoding information during its transfer from teacher to student. The process of „recoding“ signals is complicated by the fact that, as you know, according to the teachings of I. P. Pavlov about the higher nervous activity, the person perceives the world through the 1-St and 2-nd signal systems. The first signal system provides perception of the world at the level of perception, the second signal system provides perception of the world at the conceptual level. The average person have these systems operating synchronously. The authors experimentally demonstrated the predominance of one of the signal systems in perception of the objects by the scientific staff of humanitarian and natural science faculties. According to the results of this experiment, interesting conclusions were drawn. Using elements of information theory, highlight the actual aspects, to which it is necessary to pay attention in the teaching of natural science disciplines. Thus, the authors believe that in the pedagogical process it is necessary to pay special attention to the ways of information selection, to take into account the value of information for certain categories of students, to consider ways of fixing unconditional and conditional information. The issues of the transformation (recoding) of information in the learning process, the necessity of taking account of psychophysiological type of students assimilating the information. The article will be of interest to the teachers of the natural sciences of university and secondary schools. | 6550 | Introduction. One of the main semantic features of a state situation is perceptivity, which can appear in the text as an independent event proposition, and as a property of an emotional state. The presence of a sign of perceptivity in research of fiction makes it possible to distinguish between the types of subjects of perception, the key of which is the narrator (observer). Aim and objectives. The main purpose is to determine the connection between the perceptual attribute and the key differential-semantic attributes of the state and the influence on the semantics of the statement as a whole. The tasks of the research include the analysis of images of sensory perception. Material and methods. The material for the study was the stories of L. Petrushevskaya from the collections “Two Kingdoms”, “Stories about love”, “Black Butterfly”. More than 800 statements with the semantics of the emotional state are highlighted. The work uses the method of scientific description, including the collection of material, observation and systematization, semantic analysis of the statement and linguistic analysis of the text. Results and discussion. Based on the analysis, it was found that the perceptual sign is characteristic of most statements with the semantics of the emotional state. The main subject of perception in a literary text is the narrator (observer). The position of the observer makes it possible to interpret the emotional state both in terms of external signs (external perception) and internal (internal perception). Conclusion. The perceptual feature affects other semantic features, including the statement that represents the situation of the emotional state. The representation of perception within the framework of an emotional state emphasizes the specificity of L. Petrushevskaya’s work.
