| 1309 | The article is dedicated to the analysis of the regulative potential of the precedent name in media discourse. This problem is relevant in modern linguistics and is studied in the framework of different directions. The article points to communicative stylistics of the text in the aspect of the regulative theory. Methods of actualizing the regulative function of the precedent name are described on the textual material of the corpus of modern newspapers of the Russian National Corpus. Mythonyms which are prominent regulatory means of attracting the attention of the addressee were analysed in the article. Thus, contexts analysis of a newspaper corpus mythonyms Zeus, Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, Prometheus showed that in case of realization of mythonyms only the nominative function its regulative potential might be due to the invariant perception of a precedent text that is stored in the cognitive basis of the addressee and which is determined by its presuppositions. The factors influencing the degree of precedent onym’s regulativity in newspaper journalism, for instance, the use of situation-based illustrative context, the appeal to the source, the use of figurative means and transformed statements have been defined. Situational contexts that direct the recipient to the mythological stories serve as the actualizing mean of the relevant background information, its presuppositions. Mythonym in such a context is a strong regulatory tool, as not only appeals to the cultural memory of the audience, but fills in gaps in the information thesaurus. | 1342 | In the twentieth century the literature for children creates its own tradition of using of crocodile image. Korney Chukovskiy pioneered the use of this image. His version of the character has become very well known, researchers have linked it with the manifestation of the spirit of St. Petersburg. In the second half of the century, the authors repeatedly use the image of crocodile. It makes sense to refer literary works that explore this type, such as a book by K. A. Bogdanov “About crocodiles in Russia. Sketches from the history of borrowing and exoticisms” (2006). This animalistic exoticism reflects the intention of poetry to express the absurd, paradoxicalness. The latest Siberian literature for children also uses this exotic image. We explore texts of poems by several autors of contemporary Siberian poetry for children such as Bergelson, Sirotin, Eroshin, Olear in order to illustrate changes in the mythology of crocodile, and in the deployment of this icon. Conflict of friend-or-foe is developing in the regional literature. Rare animal loses its naturalistic features. In poems this monster is able to evolve constantly. This paper presents the typology of the different animalistic signs, describes the process of image formation. It is an attempt to develop a theoretical basis for the perception of this image. | 1344 | The article discusses pragmalinguistic peculiarities of interrogatives. These characteristics are analyzed at comparing interrogatives to other speech acts. Interrogatives as speech acts have an illocutionary force and a perlocutionary effect similar to those of directive speech acts. The illocutionary force of interrogatives is connected with communicative manipulation when asking for or checking information by referring to another person. The perlocutionary effect of interrogatives is either this person agrees or does not agree to share information. Directive speech acts are also connected with communicative manipulation and the perlocutionary effect of directive speech acts is either the other person agrees or does not agree to fulfill the action. However, interrogatives differ from other speech acts (directive speech acts including) by their locutionary and propositional characteristics. Interrogatives are constructed in a special way and do not contain reference to the answer. At least these locutionary and propositional characteristics of interrogatives makes it possible to consider interrogatives as a separate group of speech acts. Analysis of interrogative speech acts in contemporary American films show that 70 % of interrogatives are used as direct speech acts, i.e. to ask for information or to check information. One fourth of interrogatives contains second illocutions, in most cases these are reproach, indignation and pleading. Interrogatives as indirect speech acts are used in 20 % of utterances mainly to express suggestions. Rhetorical (false) questions are used only in 10 % of interrogative utterances.
