The studies of many authors confirm the need for the formation of the generalized design skills for teaching physics at the technical University throughout the study at the University, including classes in physics. In our previous studies were introduced the notions of learning tasks in physics and generalized design skills and proved their compliance with the stages of the training project activities, represented the design skills formed on these stages corresponding to the phases of professional design activities of engineer. | 1675 | Introduction. Quantitative and qualitative changes in the modern English vocabulary and regular production of extensive neogenic lexical segments in its content demonstrate the viability of this language and are vivid evidences of its dynamic evolution in the modern society confirming its leading position in the development trend indicators in the synchronous perspective. Coinciding with innovations in special areas of knowledge, modern English acts automatically as a vocabulary producer for new forming onomasiologic structures to which the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” belongs. Material and methods. Author’s corpus consisting of 1 144 lexical units served as a material resource for this research. The corpus was selected from authentic scientific and technical publications over the period from 2015 to 2019. The neologism status in the specified corpus segment was determined through lemmatic articles taken from representative lexicographical references books like “Dictionary of Mechanical Engineering”, “Dictionary of Technical Terms”, “Electropedia”, “Encyclopedia Britannica”, “Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering and Technology”, “Engineering Dictionary”, “Power Engineering Dictionary”, “Cambridge Dictionary”, “Collins Online Dictionary”, “Urban Dictionary”, etc. Structural and systemic approach constitutes the rational and empirical platform of this study enabling to interpret structural relations of lexical aggregates as a system (subsystem) of elements and the language as a structural and systemic formation. To determine the neologization extent of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” some traditional methods of logic (analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, contrasting, etc.) and statistics (quantitative, grouping method) as well as linguistic methods (descriptive and structural for component and constituent analysis) were used. Results and discussion. The formation of terminological neologisms is continuous while their lexicographical documentation is characterized by an impressive delay. Based on the quantitative and comparative analysis, the neogenic growth rate in thematic groups was determined and the localization of terminological neologisms in the lexical-semantic field was specified. The knowledge of neological distribution makes it possible to predict the trends of terminology formation in the field of smart energy systems in the modern English. Two and three component wordformative models are predominant in thematic groups which reflect their nominative function and display their tendency to specification. The vocabulary enhancement of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” follows two ways: the extension and abridgement of words and collocations lexical length reflecting current trends in the lexical enrichment in the modern English. Conclusion. Upon the analysis of the lexical-semantic structure of the lexical-semantic field “Smart Energy Systems” the following conclusion is made: the peripheral zone, formed around the core, contains the language material imported from allied onomasiologic fields and, therefore, distinguishes by the fastest pace of neologization. The article discusses the content of this phenomenon in the American society at the present stage of its development. | 1687 | The research concerns the problems of applying textbooks with online components in the organization of selfguided work of students learning foreign languages at non-linguistic universities under modern conditions. We believe that the competences described in the Federal State Standard of Higher Education can not be fully developed in students lacking the necessary knowledge of a foreign language after finishing their secondary education. One more relevant problem arises here, the one of the equalization of the initial level of students’ language skills. The institutions of higher education used to solve this problem by running a correction course, but due to the reduction in the amount of contact hours, we believe it is advisable to organize such work outside the classroom. Such changes will require a careful choice of textbooks. Therefore, we suggest applying a model of work with English textbooks having online components in the organization of students’ self-guided work. We analyze the results of the experiment aimed at the approbation of the technique in question and illustrate them by the statistical data obtained by testing the experimental and control groups. We prove that most language skills improve considerably due to the use of computer learning. Moreover, this pedagogical technique contributes to growing motivation and results in developing necessary competences prescribed by the State standard. | 1688 | The author deals with the cognitive basis of the creative processes which underlie the text formation. The subject matter of the study is the creativity of the literary text. While defining the cognitive parameters which contribute to the formation of the creative nature of the literary text, the author grounds the hypothesis about the creative text as the artful deviation from the automatized conventionality on the structural, communicative, conceptual, and semiotic levels of the literary text. The results of the study demonstrate the multilayered organization of the creative text which is formed by the cognitive processes. Among the processes are the associative connections of the chunks of knowledge, their analogical mapping, ambiguity of meaning, conceptual integration and foregrounding. These processes are viewed as the key processes in the cognitive model of the literary text which form structural, semantic and symbolic transformations that refer to the existing literary archetypes. The text is considered to be creative if the author purposefully foregrounds the semiotic level of the text and transforms it. The semiotic transformation entails the transformation of the elements of the other levels of the text. The usage of the highly frequent lexemes and structural repetitions contribute to the formation of the novel processes of the aesthetics of suspense. | 1689 | Introduction. Various educational organizations create a characteristic educational environment that ensures the specificity of the educational impact on students. The key task of high school is the education and upbringing of a citizen, in connection with which it is advisable to talk about the formation of values that ensure the prosocial orientation of the individual, which in turn finds expression in the creation and preservation of the world and oneself in the world. The impact of the educational environment on the personality of the student is carried out simultaneously with a number of other translators of values: family, friends, the media, etc., which entails the formation of a hierarchy of values of the adolescent in the process of their mutual integration and determines his life perspective. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between the formation of the value-semantic sphere of high school students with the current educational environment of educational organizations. Materials and methods. We have used empirical analysis and questionnaire methods. The study of the educational environment was carried out by analyzing the documents presented on the official websites of three educational organizations in the city of Irkutsk (Lyceum No. 2, secondary school No. 45, Women’s Orthodox Gymnasium). The questionnaire of students included the methodology “Emotional orientation of the personality” (by B. I. Dodonov) and “Meaningful life orientations” (by D. A. Leontyev). Results and discussion. The study showed a difference in the development of the emotional and value sphere, which in some aspects differs from the pupils of the Orthodox gymnasium, lyceum and secondary school. Most high school students of all the examined groups purposefully plan their activities, strive to achieve high results, demonstrating socially significant values. Conclusion. The methods used in the study confirmed the differences in the value-semantic sphere of students of three institutions that are different in the characteristics of the organization of the educational environment. It was determined that the glorical emotions associated with the need for self-affirmation are most pronounced among the gymnasium students of the Orthodox gymnasium, the practical emotions caused by the activity, its success – among the lyceum students, communicative – among the students of the secondary school.
