Tikhonova S.V. THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE IMAGE AS THE BASIS FOR THE READERS ‘ PRACTICE IN THE STUDY OF MODERN LITERATURE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 6 (203). P. 97-104

The article deals with the problem of updating the traditional approach to image analysis in the literature lesson through the use of modern research in the field of philosophy and psychology. The reader’s practice is proposed, where a semiotic approach is implemented, which allows to identify the transformation of the reference image in the text of a writer of the second half of the twentieth century due to the “reverse translation” (A. Mikhailov), that is, the comparison of the reference image with the antique and classical interpretation. The main mechanism connecting the reference image with the archetype is the figurative transfer. The very phenomenon of transference presupposes the existence of a previous and subsequent situation, as well as the establishment of a relationship between them. This practice allows students not only to master the specifics of the figurative system of a particular work, but also to identify the author’s worldview that affects the poetics of the text. The development of the poetics of V. Petsuh’s “Prometheuschina” story takes place with the help of a consistent and multi-aspect reading (L. V. Shamrey), which displays different elements of the architectonics of the work, which allows the young reader to build a system of connections between the individual parts of the artistic whole. The inductive method of understanding the meaning focuses the attention of students on the non-linear type connections (repetitions, parallelisms) that arise when analyzing the central image of a story. With such an analysis, it becomes possible to identify semantic overlaps in various parts of the text and meaningful “nodes” that are significant for the interpretation of the work. Appeal to the historical and literary context (N. V. Gogol “Inspector”) makes students pay attention to the national peculiarity of the Russian mentality and adequately interpret the meaning of the actions of a literary hero, his attitude to people and to life. The final “convolution” of information about the text of V. Petsuh occurs in the interpretational activity of schoolchildren compared to the new image (N. V. Maslova) with other interpretations in modern art, which contributes to fixing the ideological changes that have occurred in the minds of a whole generation. Readership practice, combining the relationship of the figurative and logical in presentation of the material and technological effectiveness of the educational process, provides students with a certain degree of freedom of philosophizing in the classroom, and the teacher is guaranteed simplicity and effectiveness of use.

Rizen Y.S. LEARNING OUTCOMES AND PRINCIPLES OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FORMATION IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPHERE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 4 (181). P. 9-15

The existing foreign recommendations and international principles of educational programs design and management do not have adaptations for Russia. As a result, there is a need to create uniform principles of educational programs and learning outcomes for the international cooperation, the roadmaps implementation of the leading universities and achievement indicators in the world rankings. In addition, the sphere of information technology is the most rapidly evolving and has a number of features that do not allow students to study all existing technologies, development environments, etc. In this connection, the author identified promising areas of education (such as the development of domestic hardware platforms and equipment; Information Security; the development of mobile applications; design, development, implementation and support of information systems; parallel and distributed computing; design, creation and implementation of converged systems; software engineering; the development of decision support and data management systems; the creation of artificial intelligence, intelligent systems) and their content; offered the principles of formation of actual educational programs (that includes consistency, continuity, flexibility, etc.); as well as formulated specifications and additional competences of IT-graduates, necessary for educational programs design. Integrated use of the proposed solutions allowed: to strengthen existing relations with foreign partners and to expand the scope of international cooperation in the implementation of joint educational programs, research projects and grants; to change the conditions of learning, making them more flexible and adaptable to the constant changes in the professional environment; to make cooperation with employers stronger.

Krayeva I.A. SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE ENGLISH GRADABLE ADJECTIVES’ LEXICOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 4 (201). P. 85-94

The article is devoted to the investigation of ways of representing in English one of the basic universal conceptual categories – the category of graduality. The main aim is to determine specific features of lexicographic description of lexical units that express graduality implicitly in English dictionaries. Modern paradigm of linguistic knowledge – cognitive linguistics – gave an opportunity to look at a number of problems from a new angle, in particular at the formation of the category of graduality and its linguistic representation. Within the framework of cognitive linguistics graduality is rightly viewed as a concept expressed in the language by a category of graduality that includes in the first place quality adjectives because only they can denote some feature that can manifest itself in a higher or lower degr ee and as a result have gradable meanings. The article gives a short survey of present-day opinions on lexical units that express features of objects and new ways of their structural presentation, in particular opinions of leading Russian and foreign linguists – E. S. Kubryakova, N. N. Boldyrev, E. G. Beliaevskaya, L. Talmy. The investigation was carried out on the material of 533 adjectives selected from several authoritative dictionaries of the English language. The author describes the procedure of the conceptual analysis of some frequently used English quality adjectives that have an indication of graduality in their meanings. In the course of the analysis the author makes some conclusions concerning the conceptual structure of English quality adjectives representing graduality implicitly, singles out concepts that serve as a basis for the semantics of the adjectives under analysis and dwells on the peculiarities of their lexicographic description and that of relative adjectives used in their quality meanings. The study shows that the conceptual structure underlying the semantics of English adjectives representing graduality implicitly includes two concepts – “feature” and “feature degree”. The first one has a different semantic representation depending on the meaning of the adjective while the other one expresses the same feature degree in all the meanings (very high, high, low). The research is interesting for further analysis as not only the issue of lexicographic presentation of graduality is of great interest today but also the issue of new approaches and methods of studying graduality, the status of units functioning as means of expressing graduality and some others. All these issues need further investigation on the material of different languages.

Keywords: graduality, conceptual category, implicitness, conceptual analysis, quality adjectives, relative adjectives, means of representation, inference

Go C. ANALYSIS OF THE DIALOGUE IN THE PLAY OF PINTER “LAST TO GO” IN THE ASPECT OF TEXT LINGUISTICS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 1 (219). P. 93-101

Introduction. The relevance of the study is determined by the need for further development of the issues of structuring a conversational speech work from the standpoint of text linguistics, the problems of which are concentrated around the study of the rules of cohesion (connectivity) of components in the structural organization of texts. The novelty of the research lies in the substantiation of the selection of such a unit of coherent dialogical text (we are talking about the artistic sphere of communication) as a “fragment of dialogue”. Material and methods. The material of the study is the play by G. Pinter “Last to Go” – a sample of a small dramatic form. Dialogue is analyzed in the aspect of the segment of the dialog fragments in accordance with the selected criteria. The methodological base is a set of research methods: a scientific description, textual, contextual analysis. Results and discussion. It is proved that a fragment of a dialogue as a unit of coherent dialogical speech is suprasegment in relation to the previously identified traditional dialogical units (utterance, dialogic unity). As criteria for its identification, structural-semantic and communicative-functional grounds are formulated, which allow the author’s meta-comments (author’s remarks), meaningfully correlated with the topic of speech, to be included in the boundaries of the selected dialogical unit. An utterance, a dialogical unity and a fragment of a dialogue constitute a three-level system of dialogical discourse from subsegment (utterance), segment (dialogical unity) to supra-segment (dialogue fragment). The utterance, the dialogic unity and the dialog fragment are both a construction and communicative unit of discourse. In the latter case, certain structural components can be distinguished in a fragment of the dialogue. Koshkarova N.N., Aleksandrova Y.A. LINGUO-COGNITIVE AND CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE OPPOSITION “INTELLIGENCE-SILLINESS” (ON THE BASIS OF THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH FOLK TALES). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 4 (193). P. 138-141

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the linguo-cognitive and cultural characteristics of the opposition representation “intelligence-silliness” on the basis of the Russian and English folk tales. The underlying premises worked out in the framework of the linguistic conceptology serve as the theoretical foundation of the research. The linguistic conceptology is viewed as a branch of modern cognitive linguistics and it often focuses on the comparative analysis of these or those concepts. Folk talk as a genre reflects the reality and interprets it from a certain perspective. Moreover, folk tale can be considered as an axiogenic event which in its turn functions as a kind of an axiogenic situation. The opposition “intelligence-silliness” is analysed from the point of view of lexical explication, gender peculiarities and social status of the tales’ heroes. The conclusion is made that the English and Russian languages differ in terms of estimating and presenting intelligent and silly people. But at the same time intelligence in both linguo-cultures is associated with mental power, common sense, experience. Silliness always means lack of innate intelligence, wit and is even equal to greediness and laziness. The perspectives of the study are outlined. The representation of the opposition “intelligence- silliness” may be studied in the common language consciousness.

In the annual model experiment was made the monitoring of quantity and taxonomical structure of the bacterial and fungal complexes in the monoliths of the bog peatland under temperature of20-24 oC and 4-6 oC, using the fluorescent- microscopic and plate methods. It was established, that low temperatures didn't exert serious influence on the morphological, taxonomical structure and abundance levels of the fungal complexes. The temperatures stimulated the development of Basidiomycetes and dark-coloured mycelium. Among the bacterial hydrolytic complex, Bacillus were the most adapted to the low-temperature conditions. In the bog peatland, fungi were shaped as mycelium, and spore-forming bacteria were shaped as vegetative cells, that's why they occurred to be in an active state. Also the fungi and spore-forming bacteria were adapted to low-temperature conditions and that helped them to decompose vegetative polymers.
