| 3904 | The article describes the activity of the Tomsk pioneer headquarters. It was a children’s self-governed organization, which was founded in 1969 by a prominent young pioneer leader and teacher Oleg Pirozhkov. The headquarters lasted till 1989 and achieved considerable success in training of young pioneer activists, who were able to overcome excessive formalities of “official” children’s movement. The headquarters also produced a great number of educational structures, which left their mark in the history of Tomsk society. Activist’s headquarters, formed of self-organization that were innovative to the Soviet period, were not aimed at ideological education of young people, now there is the reason why their practices are of great interest to the students, postgraduates, professors, scholars, young pioneer leaders, specialists in youth policy, teachers and the reading public. | 3905 | The article focuses on the analysis of syntactic organization of epistolary texts from the perspective of regulativity theory, developed in the framework of the communicative style of the text – a new and promising direction of functional stylistics. Regulativity is understood as the ability to manage through the text the reader’s cognitive activity. The key thesis advocates judgment that the regulativity as a universal text-forming feature has specifics of its manifestation in the letters – the most relevant for the type of epistolary texts, due to the peculiarities of epistolary communication sphere. The factors determining the specificity of epistolary regulativity include: distance character of communication between the addresser and the addressee, bound by the written form of verbal contact, the special role of extralinguistic factors (аuthor of the target installation, the nature of the relationship communicants, thematic and situational context, genre form), informality and ease of dialogue, his lack of preparation, automatism, spontaneity. We should particularly mention the factor of polidiscursivity of epistolary. For the material served the private letters of the representatives of Russian creative intelligentzia of the ХХ century (M. V. Nesterov, F. I. Chaliapin, V. I. Vernadsky, M. I. Tsvetaeva, Yu. M. Lotman, V. S. Vysotsky, D. D. Shostakovich), characterized by the presence in their speech of the rich palette of regulatory assets and syntactic structures. This is largely due to the brightness of the personalities of the communicants, originality of idiostyle of each addressee and syncretic and stylistic properties of their letters. Among the most significant regulatory syntactic means include: simple, one-piece, incomplete, exclamatory and interrogative sentences, homogeneous terms, word order, and various forms of transfer of another’s speech. The list of assets of poetic syntax highlighted antithesis, oxymoron, comparison, graduation. | 3907 | The article considers the way linguistic and cultural knowledge is used in translation and justifies the need to view a translator as a professional native and foreign language user. Similarly, it is important to recognize the specific character of translator’s language knowledge because, firstly, it is a tool in a professional cross-cultural mediation in translation; secondly, it provides the basis for the acquisition, development and functioning of translation skills. An attempt is made to identify the characteristics of translator’s linguacultural knowledge relevant to the process of code-switching, which should be viewed as the switching of linguacultural codes in order to reflect the interlingual and cross-cultural aspects of translation. Based on the analysis of the mental processes and mechanisms of linguacultural switching the following characteristics of translator’s lingualcultural knowledge have been proposed. Chunk-based language knowledge is represented by communicative chunks and communicative contours and is able to improve access, activation and retrieval of linguistic knowledge, error control, the functioning of radiant thinking and spreading activation. Frame-based knowledge of a foreign language creates the framework for probabilistic forecasting, facilitates direct access to conceptual representations in a foreign language, raises its activation level and reduces its dependence on the native language, as well as improving integration of linguistic and conceptual information into semantic memory. Systemic language knowledge means knowing a language as a system of dependencies and connections and ensures distinctness, flexibility and mobility of language knowledge. Language awareness involves the ability to pay attention to language forms, reflect on language, patterns and specific character of its functioning. Such awareness develops the skill of separating two languages and cultures, improves language and error control and prevents linguistic interference. Functional parallelism reflects the type of relationship between two language systems and is made up of systemic, communicative and operational aspects. The last characteristic involves the awareness of the linguistic factors causing breakdowns in code-switching in translation, as well as the ability to predict and deal with such problems. Collectively, the above-mentioned characteristics form the readiness and ability of a translator to code-switch. The development of these characteristics should be made part of professionally oriented foreign language teaching to trainee translators. Keywords: translation, code-switching, professionally oriented foreign language teaching, metalinguistic awareness, frame | 1947 | |||||
| 3908 | Introduction. Due to the fact that the modern world is changing almost at lightning speed, many researchers, comparing the competencies formed in educational institutions and necessary later in practice, seeing the gap between them growing, try to predict in advance the “professions” and the corresponding “competencies of the future”. The list of competencies is being modified, refined and supplemented constantly. For the formation and development of competencies, it is possible to adapt the educational process to the needs and requests of each student by improving the existing information system for supporting the educational process. The aim is to identify the features of the information system for supporting the educational process university, aimed at forming students’ competencies of the future. Material and methods. To solve the tasks set, the following research methods were used. studies: theoretical (study and analysis of literature, comparative analysis of existing E-Learning systems (Moodle, WebTutor, Sakai, IBM, Competentum, Prometheus, Mirapolis), modeling, generalization definition and concretization); empirical (observation, questioning, testing, analysis of products of educational student activities); mathematical methods for processing the results of experimental work. The study was conducted in the 2019–2021 academic year at the Tyumen State University. Students from the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities took part in the experimental work, Institute of State and Law, Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy, students studying in individual evocative trajectories. Results and discussion. The result of the work was the definition of the basic requirements for the information system for the support of the educational process: the possibility of studying disciplines at several levels of development, which is essential for the implementation of the concept of individual educational technologies; filling the system with holistic educational content that takes into account interdisciplinary connections and the logical sequence of the presentation of the material, its practical orientation; a wide range of mechanisms (indicators) that determine the quality of learning of educational material and the dynamics of the formation of competencies, based on the impulse (clip, fragmented) transfer of knowledge; the presence of constant, maximally informative feedback that allows the teacher to respond promptly to the process and results of students’ work by changing the ways of presenting the material and its content; possibility of communication between all participants of the educational process; increasing motivation and involvement of students by providing a comprehensive mechanism of immersion in the educational process using elements of gamification, activation of reflexive processes, social interaction, intersection with “live practice”. Conclusion. The work carried out made it possible to identify some ways of developing the capacity of existing information systems for supporting the educational process of the university to build individual educational trajectories of students and the formation of “competencies of the future”. | 3925 | Introduction. Civilizational challenges to a person determine the need to actualize the humanistic paradigm in education. An example of the search for ways of humanization is the direction of social-emotional-ethical training, developed at Emory University in the USA, which is based on the idea of holistic human development by means of education. Within the framework of the grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research “Direction of socio-emotional and ethical education”, the aim was set to identify the features of Russian education in the implementation of this humanistic idea. Material and methods. The analysis is based on the concept of “anthropological tradition” as a systematic characteristic of the ideas about the integral education of a person, which gives an idea of the pedagogical experience, its preservation and further development, starting from the fundamental works of K. D. Ushinsky and up to the present day: at the stages of Russian, Soviet and Russian schools. Results and discussion. The article provides a genetic analysis of the idea of the emotional development of a child in education in relation to the social component. Two aspects of its development are highlighted: emotional-social (psychophysiological) and socio-emotional (socio-cultural). The features of the development of the emotional and social line in the works of scientists of the Russian school are considered and the continuity with the stage of the Soviet school in psychological works is revealed. The genetic analysis of the development of the socio-cultural line revealed two main directions in the interaction of social and emotional components: artistic and aesthetic and social inheritance of the cultural tradition of Russia. The study of the emotional-social direction shows the continuity of the anthropological tradition: from the provisions of K. D. Ushinsky on the need to use the power of human emotions in his education along with the intellectual sphere – to the research of the emotional sphere carried out within the framework of pedology – and further to psychological research on the importance of human interests and needs in his upbringing. In the socio-emotional direction, the continuity of emotional saturation of socialization of children and adolescents in artistic and aesthetic creativity is revealed: from the experience of the beginning of the last century in organizing the life of children’s communities to the modern practice of additional education of children. The spiritual orientation of the social inheritance of cultural values of society is also highlighted. The conclusion is made about the need for further development of the experience of combining emotional and social components in modern conditions that require overcoming the risks associated with the growing human crisis and the social transformation of childhood. | 3932 | In the article the authors touched on one of the topical issues of defectological education: improving motivation to self-correction and self-control among children with severe speech disorders. For children with severe speech disorders the corrective-speech process at kindergarten speech therapy center lasts 2–3 years. During this time it is necessary to help children to correct the defects of the entire system of language: aspects of pronunciation, lexical and grammatical side, of coherent speech. The necessity of examination and formation of a stable motivation for corrective speech work is caused by the low level of interest of senior preschool children with severe speech disorders to speech therapy classes, because they require perseverance from the child, and this quality appears later. The authors identified three stages of diagnostics, necessary for a comprehensive examination of children with severe speech disorders. Stage 1 – speech diagnostics, stage 2 – study of children’s motivation, stage 3 – parents’ questioning to identify the child’s interests. The attention is focused on the stage of studying of motivation for speech therapy classes, with the aim of identifying conditions for the formation of stable motivation of children with severe speech disorders. | 3948 | Introduction. The focus of this paper is the observation and comparison of several symbolic connotations of British and Slavic basic color terms. Aim and objectives. The paper’s aim is to discuss cultural and linguistic commonalities and peculiarities of a few color terms and prepare educational resource for different disciplines, such as English, Russian as a foreign language, ethnolinguistic and linguacultural studies. Material and methods. This paper observes British and Slavic idioms with the component ‘color’ in its connotative meaning. A cross-disciplinary approach helps identify the essential place of color terms in interpreting linguistic picture of the world and emphasizes the integrative role of culture. We consolidate with ideas of L. Bloomfield and J. Lyons concerning connotative meaning in linguistic semantics. Results and discussion. Connotative meanings of color terms often become cultural symbols and serve as signs of some abstract concepts. Since color perceptions relate to the sensory sphere, they are easily transferred to the characteristics of emotions, dignity of character, behavior, appearance. Interpretation of color terms in their connotative meanings will provide insight into the national mentality. Connotative meanings reflect individualized situations based on national cultural values and norms of social life. In provided examples the basic meaning of a color term is becomingusually narrower. Conclusion. The comparative analysis of connotations of five color terms leads to following conclusions: 1) color is able to evoke certain emotions traced in languages in the form of idioms containing a color component; 2) differences in the semantic structure of color connotations in English and Russian are due to national and cultural peculiarities; 3) etymology of color terms and historical facts sometimes make it possible to establish the dependence of a symbol on practice; 4) the main (perhaps the most universal) source of color terms are natural objects with a characteristic color.
