The article deals with the method of “total immersion” of a foreigner as a secondary language personality in speech and wider – communicative – media environment. In modern linguistics, the method is defined as one of the most efficient, allowing a carrier to master a second language and effectively form lingvocultural competence. The key thesis is the one on the necessity of combining classroom training aimed at developing understanding of the language system, and study of the functioning of the language elements in a spontaneous conversational communication. Proves the expediency of development of alien non-literary (for example, slang) units of modern language, actively functioning in the speech of the Russian people. It is noted that in view of the principles of appropriateness and ethical permissibility of the use of jargon in the speech of secondary language person achieved the result, optimizing the overall intercultural communication. Jargon, becoming the the subject of exploration of alien units has linguocultural properties since, including their means of familiarizing media carried a foreign language to the Russian linguistic culture. Vishnyakova E.A. REVISITING FOREIGN INCLUSIONS IN EPISTLE OF THE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN AUTHORS: KONSTANTIN BATUYSHKOV AND VASILY ZHUKOVSKY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 6 (195). P. 92-99

The task of this work is to identify the features of foreign inclusions in the letters of the Romantic poets. Foreign inclusions in their correspondence are an important characteristic of poetics, which until now has not attracted special attention of researchers. The purpose of the paper is to identify and compare foreign inclusions in the epistolary prose of Vasily Zhukovsky and Konstantin Batuyshkov in the context of biography and literary creativity of the authors. It is concluded that Batuyshkov uses primarily Latin and Italian inclusions to incorporate intertexts of Romance culture, for self-identification and authentication of the correspondence partner; in the dialogue of the poet with Nikolay Gnedich these inclusions form a special communicative code. In the ego-documents of Vasily Zhukovsky German inclusions predominate and play a similar role, expressing the most important philosophical and aesthetic concepts of the Romanticism. The analysis of foreign inclusions in the epistle of Batyushkov and Zhukovsky allows expanding significantly the notion of the language biography of these authors. The results confirm the hypothesis that a particular author prefers certain foreign literature. Batyushkov’s letters represent full type of foreign inclusions, Zhukovsky’s letters represent full and partial types, he tends to fix foreign words on the derivational model of the Russian language, or to combine the graphics of the source language and Russian. Some types of foreign inclusions, used by both authors, fit into the poetics of the epistolary tradition of the Arzamas society.

Keywords: foreign inclusions, ego-documents, letters, Konstantin Batuyshkov, Vasily Zhukovsky, multilingualism of Russian literature

Semenova T.I., Ishenina A.S. EPISTEMIC MEANINGS OF IMAGINE CLASS VERBS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 9 (206). P. 9-15

Introduction. The article focuses on the ways human beings conceptualize, structure and make sense of their physical and mental experience. Mental states of perception, imagination, belief, knowledge interact tightly with one another and this ontological nature is represented in the lexical semantics of the verbs see, imagine, believe, think, know. Thus, the main concern of the study is to highlight cognitive-semantic grounds of the semantic shifts of the imagine class verbs and to reveal syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic properties of the utterances arranged by these verbs. Material and methods. The research is based on the empirical data from available sources and corpora data. The research is conducted within the cognitive linguistics framework where a common view is that meaning has a cognitive nature. Results and discussion. The paper explores how lexical meanings get extended in a particular cognitive context. The findings of the study suggest that the verbs under consideration function as IMAGINERY VISION verbs and as epistemic verbs in the cognitive context BELIEF. The results obtained suggest that meanings of the imagine class verbs (supposition/evaluative judgment/wrong opinion) imply that related word “senses” may be part of a continuum of meanings rather than discrete entity. The research highlights polyphony as an important double-voiced dimension of the utterances with the imagine class verbs in the cognitive context BELIEF. Conclusion. The findings of the study prove that the meanings of the imagine class verbs occupy overlapping areas of semantic space. The results obtained may contribute to further studies of the word meaning theory.

Keywords: mental state, proposition, propositional attitude, imagination, semantic derivation, evaluative judgment, supposition

Li Z. REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT EDUCATION IN NETWORK DISCOURSE OF THE RUSSIAN-SPEAKING DIASPORA OF CHINA. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 5 (211). P. 27-35

Introduction. The concept education is one of the most significant in the conceptual sphere of modern society, as evidenced by the unflagging interest in this mental-linguistic universalism both at the level of the national conceptual sphere and at the level of individual discourses and discursive practices. In the online diaspora discourse, the representation of the concept education acquires vivid features, since the analysis of the Internet communication of the representatives of the Russian diaspora in China reflects a special variant of the Russian linguistic culture oriented to the Chinese culture, which is due to the novelty and relevance of this research. Aim and objectives. The purpose of this article is to describe the specifics of representation of the concept education in network discourse of the Russian-speaking diaspora of China, based on the analysis of its inolinguistic cultural substrate. Material and methods. More than 10,000 texts of Internet communication of members of the Russian-speaking diaspora community in China, containing the name of the analyzed concept and its other lexical representatives, became the material of the study. In addition to the methodological tools of interlinguoculturology and lexical semantics, the analysis uses techniques of quantitative, contextual and discourse analysis. Results and discussion. As the analysis has shown, among the components of the inolinguistic cultural substrate of the concept education, the following lexical units of Chinese characteristic of the Russian-Chinese language environment are of the greatest interest: лаоши 715 (老师138), вайцзяо 138 (外教 40), сюешен/сюэшен 5 (学生 112), сюэюань 2 (学院 64). Conclusions were made about the ambiguity of the definition of the concept сюэюань due to the ambiguity and multivariance of its translation, leading to disputes about the correctness of the classification of higher education institutions in China; about the exceptionally positive connotation of the xenonym вайцзяо, the ambivalent connotation of the lexemes лаоши and сюэюань, as well as predominantly negative – the lexical unit сю- ешен; the identification of oneself by Russian teachers from лаоши and вайцзяо without the need to translate Chinese equivalents into Russian in connection with full acceptance of this professional role and status as respected and honorable in Chinese society and culture. Conclusion. The network discourse of the Russian-speaking diaspora in China is distinguished by a certain set of xenonyms that express the concept education. These lexemes are characterized by a special cultural value and relevance, and their analysis indicates a strong influence of the foreign language environment on the perception of information by representatives of the diaspora community, self-identification in accordance with the social and professional statuses adopted in the Chinese tradition, as well as a more expressive expression of emotions and assessments using the foreign word.

Kryukova L.B., Belousova A.A. INTERPRETING MARINA TSVETAEVA’S POETIC TEXTS IN RFL LESSONS: PERCEPTUAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 1 (213). P. 114-121

Introduction. The use of poetic texts as didactic materials is an effective method of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This study aims to describe the methodological and linguistic aspects of interpreting perceptual semantics in poetic works by Marina Tsvetaeva. The interpretation of literary works in perceptual terms facilitates understanding these works’ messages and provides an opportunity for studying and applying units with the meaning of perception in communicative practice. Material and methods. The material for the study was poems by Marina Tsvetaeva with a pronounced semantics of perception (270 poems, 547 contexts). The main research methods were the linguo-stylistic analysis of the texts, the conceptual and semantic analysis of the keywords, and a linguocultural commentary. Results and discussion. When selecting poems for lessons in a foreign-language audience, it is essential to take into account the students’ cognitive interest, the principle of accessibility, and the principle of the methodological value of the poems for studying. When interpreting texts and analyzing perceptual images, foreign students encounter lexical, grammatical, stylistic, and linguocultorological difficulties. By successfully overcoming the difficulties, students perceive the messages and the emotional tonalities of the poems. The titles of certain poems set “perceptual dominants” conceptually expressed in the further semantic development of the text (“V Sumerkakh” [At Dusk], “Luch Serebristyy” [Ray of Silver], “Nochnye Shepota: Shelka . . .” [Night Whispers: Silk . . .], etc.). Tasks on the analysis of perceptual images and the linguo-poetic analysis of poems must be formulated in accordance with the main stages of the lesson. The actualization of skills and abilities involves the use of individual perceptual experience and information available to students about literary texts. Pre-reading tasks aim to capture the readers’ interest and encourage them to be creative (conceptual guess and comparison). Reading tasks aim to analyze the means of expressing perceptual images at the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic levels of the poem. The focus is on keywords with perceptual semantics. Post-reading tasks aim to generalize and interpret the material. Conclusion. The linguo-stylistic analysis of poems by Marina Tsvetaeva in terms of perception allows foreign students to present one of the options for interpreting the texts using their linguistic and sensory experience. The students understand the functions perceptual units perform, observe the implementation of direct and figurative meanings of keywords, and see how the author expresses her intention at all the levels of the texts.

Introduction. The article discusses the possibilities of optimizing learning from the point of view of neuroscience, in particular, the neuropsychological approach. A solution to the problem of improving the quality of higher education in the era of digitalization through the activation of cognitive processes of students is proposed. The Aim is to show the possibilities of using neuropsychological exercises in a remote format of higher education for the prevention of neuroerosion and stimulation of learning motivation and cognitive processes of students are shown. Material and methods. The article is based on the author’s generalization of the experience of teaching subjects for bachelors and undergraduates in the field of «Speech Therapy» and «Oligophrenopedagogics» with the inclusion of neuropsychological exercises in the structure of lectures and seminars. The following methods were used: theoretical analysis of scientific literature, materials and publications of the psychological and pedagogical press, questionnaires and interviews of students in the remote learning format during the summer session of 2020. Results and discussion. Changing the educational environment with the advent of digital reality in higher education involves the development of new ways and forms of learning, the inclusion of means of activating students in order to reduce the risks of remote education. Significant problems of digitalization of education are prevention of weakening of cognitive processes, activation of learning motivation, development of self-control of educational activities. The expediency of using neuropsychological exercises as a tool that stimulates higher mental functions of students in higher education is shown. As a result of a questionnaire survey of 213 full-time and part-time students in the direction of preparation 44.03.03 Special (defectological) education in the profile of «Speech therapy» and «Oligophrenopedagogy», projected results of the use of neuropsychological exercises to increase the productivity of learning in the online format were revealed. Conclusion. Neuropsychological techniques can be used in professional training as a universal means of developing cognitive processes and preventing inhibition of higher mental functions of students, increasing motivation to master academic disciplines at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. In the digital format of University education, the need to increase students’ internal motivation to study, form ways of self-organization and develop self-control over the development of the educational program is actualized.

Isaev E.A. Courage to be or hardiness as a factor of existential self-determination of a future teacher. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 5 (235). P. 50-57

The article is devoted to the problem of professional education of a future teacher in conditions of transitivity. The sources of the research were the philosophical ideas of existentialism and psychological concepts of hardiness. The logical method, comparison, contrast, generalization, classification, modeling method, as well as theoretical analysis of the material are used. The methodological basis of the work was made up of dialectical, existential, and systemic approaches. The author considers the categories “courage to be” and “existential self-determination of the future teacher” in their dialectical unity. Courage to be is the ability of an individual to withstand difficulties and challenges, to remain optimistic and to find solutions in difficult situations. The existential self-determination of a future teacher is understood as a certain internal resource of a professional, reflecting, on the one hand, a person’s readiness for change, mobility, ability for non-standard work actions, responsibility and independence in making decisions that ensure professional effectiveness and the ability to constructively overcome emerging difficulties, and, on the other hand, it helps to understand the value of life, the search for inner meaning as the only strategy for development and overcoming the internal contradictions of the system. Accordingly, the future teacher’s bright existential self-determination helps to cultivate his/her courage to be, and the presence of vital stability helps him/her to understand better himself and his/her role in the educational process. It is noted that in psychological and pedagogical research, the philosophical problem of the courage to be is reflected in the theory of hardiness, where hardinessis a personal variable that characterizes the measure of an individual’s ability to withstand a stressful situation, maintaining internal balance and without reducing the success of activities; is considered as a factor in the existential self-determination of the individual. The article states that the author, having examined the level of hardiness of students at a pedagogical university, concluded that it is necessary to intensify work to increase its level, in particular, to stimulate a reflexive-subjective position among future teachers, which is one of the main psychological and pedagogical conditions for developing readiness to the existential self-determination of the student’s personality. It is proposed to introduce into the teacher training process a special course “Dominants of professional education at a university: existential self-determination of a future teacher.” Its content and structure are described.
