| 5263 | From the standpoint of activity theory we discuss the methodological features of teaching students skills for solving mathematics problems of higher level of complexity. We propose a classification of this type of problems (problems with parameters, problems on divisibility, problems on the decimal representation of numbers, Diophantine equations, problems on finding the largest or smallest natural values satisfying given conditions, problems on the integer part of numbers, etc.) and a step-by-step method for solving them. For each type we provide a set of examples of non-standard problems with full solutions aimed at development of students’ positive motivation, independent thinking, and action skills necessary for their successful mastering of mathematical activity. The developed materials can be used as part of a school course in advanced study of mathematics, as well as to prepare students for the All-Russian Olympiads in mathematics. | 5264 | The article presents an overview of rationales for euphemisms usage. We consider the problem from the point of psycholinguistics, social psychology, evolutionary biology and ethology. Biological researchers believe that a need for euphemisms could be one of the earliest linguistic imperatives imposed by disgust, thus euphemisms present a verbal hygiene strategy. Psychologists state that it is a distancing strategy, a means to manage human terror at the prospect of death. The article also considers the central role of politeness and cooperation principle in euphemistic and off-record indirect speech generation. From the perspective of the theory of strategic speaker indirect communication does not always involve pure cooperation between speaker and hearer but a mixture of cooperation and conflict and euphemising can be used to negotiate this uncertainty. Therefore, euphemism as a form of indirect proposition can allow for plausible deniability and has a strategic rationale. For this purpose the meaning of the concept out-of-home advertising is revealed, the reasons of anglicisms loans and their theme groups in advertising are determined. | 5266 | The relevance of this study is due to the socio-cultural aspects associated with the development of visual communications in modern urban space. The visual landscape of the city assumes an abundance of advertising information in various spheres of human activity. This leads to an increase in the requirements for people of different specialties in the field of visual communication skills. The problem is a contradiction: on the one hand, the visual level of the urban environment is constantly growing, on the other hand the approaches to education in this direction are not so wide and do not meet the requirements of the time. At the moment, there are many technologies for solving creative problems in the visual arts and design - this is a whole spectrum of researchers who pay attention to the issues of a full-fledged educational cycle, but the problem is to correctly choose and integrate them into the accelerated educational process (refresher courses). In this regard, the issue of creating a methodology for teaching the composition and working with it within the framework of the advanced training courses “Graphic Design. A basic level”. The goal was to create the most concise and effective way of learning to work with the mounting composition and the principles of working with a stain within the framework of this composition. Attention is paid to the processing of visual images in a virtual environment, through the Adobe Photoshop CC raster graphics editor, to achieve the maximum speed for processing visual data. Approaches to creating an assembly composition with pre-prepared image libraries are described. The article will be useful to teachers of creative specialties, designers, artists, researchers in the field of visual culture. | 5275 | Toponymic nickname – is a new name based on the associations with reality phenomena. Wide use of secondary nominations is a characteristic feature of the toponymic system of the USA. Each state, apart from its official name, has a number of nicknames, which can be official and unofficial. This article is devoted to the linguocultural analysis of toponymic nicknames of the US States, motivational characteristics of which are relief and water resource peculiarities. This group of American nicknames is clearly restricted in the English language and presents an interesting material for the linguistic analysis. This article regards different classifications of the analyzed units as well as their motivational and quantitative analyses. Secondary nominations of the US States reflect the peculiarities of the flat, hilly and mountainous relief. The last one prevails over the flat and hilly relief. Water resources (among which the most productive motivation is rivers) occur more often than the objects of the area relief. One more particular feature of the units under the investigation is the fact that they are presented by the nominations with absolute or full motivating, since the facts, events and geographical names, put in the basis of the secondary nominations, are always evident. | 5276 | The article deals with the means of representing an inexact measure of liquids, namely, a lexeme expressing the meaning of «глоток» in Russian, German and English languages. The concrete language material of Russian, German and English dictionaries as well as the data of Russian National Corpus, Leipzig and Mannheim German Language Corpuses, British National Corpus taken into consideration, differences in using the given lexemes in the three compared languages were defined and the peculiarities of their combinability and semantics revealed. | 5278 | The article analyzes the semantics of the lyrical themes related to the situations of the festivity in its different variations: funeral processions, circus performances and others. It is deduced that the importance of these lyrical subjects in the contest of the city’s image and in the aspect of their connection with the inner life of the lyrical hero. It should be noted that there are cases of contamination of different type of festivity in a single poetic text. Nevertheless it doesn’t mean that the individual content and form of each type of festivity’s system is missing. The author marks the motives of festivity’s lack of organicity, participants’ tiredness from their own dissembling. The situation of festivity is included in the context of ontological bases of being, principles of time and death. The importance of festivity’s catastrophic conclusion, when the man is unable to defend himself from tragic state of the world is deduced. Those texts in which emerges the phantasmagoric scene of the Ball of the dead men occupy a particular position. This scene represents the generation of the lyrical hero-poet’s inner world. There are a great number of problems connected not only with etymology and semantics of Russian surnames, bur also with their culture-historical, social and medico-genetic value. The problem of returning their professional generic appellations, beginning from Swinyins, by Russian verbal legends derived from wine-making Tarquinius genus which was known in Europe as long ago, as B.C. The article reveals the nature of the relations between the creative works of poets. | 5292 | The article deals with the texts of the records dated by 1917–1933 in terms of reflecting historical events in Russia in the first third of the 20th century. This period is the epoch of global changes in the life of Russian society. The aim of the research is to identify how the historical events that took place in the first third of the 20th century are reflected in the text. The records that were analysed are divided into four time periods. Each period is connected with historical events that are very important for Russia. The article is devoted to the description of three aspects that are very important for analysis of documents. The first part of the article describes the structural characteristics of the records dated by 1917–1933 and peculiarities of the records that are typical for each period. The main part of the work is devoted to the analysis of the linguistic means that form the record and also how linguistic means change over time. And the last part is devoted to speech norm. The text of the record presents a mixture of structures generated by the new ideological system and colloquialisms. The characteristics of lexico-semantic, functional-stylistic and structural features of the records of the presented period made it possible to identify the main units reflecting changing historical conditions at the level of the text. We use this algebra for constructing gauge invariant Lagrangian by BRST method.
