Skachkova N.V. COMPETENCES COMPOSITION OF A TEACHER OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN DECORATIVE-APPLIED ART AND DESIGN. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 5 (194). P. 200-206

The problem of the Russian economy‘s withdrawal to the trajectory of sustainable growth is considered by the author in connection with the solution of the problem of employment and the rational distribution of an able-bodied human resource in the labor market. In accordance with the civilizational challenges and the need for Russia‘s adaptation to new socio-economic conditions, the expediency of training qualified personnel for the developing service industries of the economy is justified. Training of such specialists is impossible without professional training of teachers who would have professional competence in accordance with the direction (profile) of professional activity. The subject of consideration is the content of modern design activities and the identification of the component composition of the relevant competencies that make up professional competence of a teacher of professional training in the field of arts and crafts and design. The problem of formation of professional competence of a future teacher of vocational training for training of qualified specialists in the sphere of services with the purpose of satisfying the existing consumer demand for services in the field of modern design is considered. Presented are the results of the study of the component composition of the model for the formation of professional competence of a future teacher of vocational training in accordance with the direction (profile) of training: arts and crafts and design. The structure and component composition of pedagogical, design competences, as well as competencies in working with computer graphics are revealed. Schemes for the formation of professional competencies are presented, containing the composition and structural interrelationships of the individual elements of the relevant competencies. The expediency of using the proposed logic and the hierarchical structure of the process of forming professional competencies for measuring their level of formation, as well as fixing the dynamics of their development in the process of vocational training, is grounded.

Kuryanovich A.V. LEGAL RISKS AND TACTICS OF HANDLING THEM IN THE NETWORK VERBAL INTERACTION (BASED ON EPISTOLARY ELECTRON MEDIA TEXTS). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 11 (176). P. 9-16

The article considers discourse and in particularly speech activity of epistolary media language personality in terms of Internet interaction in the aspect of implementation of the communicative strategy “risks aversion”, the relevant tactics and text units of representation of the latter. The risks, which the native speaker potentially makes himself liable to in the network interactions are evaluated from the ethical and legal points of view. The communicantss’behavior in cyberspace is regulated by both external factors (from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, moderators and site administrators, and so forth.) and by the users themselves. The emphasis is laid on the specific features of epistolary electronic-media texts tby means of which can be solved the problem of full / partial blocking by the addressers the risks associated with violation of the current legislation and the existing moral and ethical standards. Drawing on available sources on the topic of research gthe author presents a list of tactics that contribute to managing risks in public communication: the manifestation of subjectivity, “blackout” of the referent, torn predication, deauthorisation, autor rehabilitation. Implementation of tactics of risk avoiding is seen as an example of open letters’ texts, online-petitions and appeals of citizens to the City Administration’s website. Research perspectives are associated with the identification of dependence of choice of tactics and the appropriate means of expression in the text activity of the addresser according to the genre and stylistic and functional-pragmatic properties of epistolary electronic-media texts of different types.

Mymrina D.F., Abdrashitova M.O., Zakharova E.O. DEVELOPING FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF THE ACADEMIC STAFF AT A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 6 (195). P. 171-175

The paper discusses the issue of the development of the English speaking communicative competence at a technical university, which is thought to have become one of the most essential skills of today’s university staff. Due to this, many of the Russian universities are now reconsidering professional requirements to the staff, believing that good knowledge of English could contribute to faster integration of their universities into global scientific community. National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia, has designed a number of professional training programmes for the English language acquisition tailored to the specific needs of the academics. The paper focuses on the course outline “English for Scientific and Academic Communicative Purposes” aimed to develop foreign language communicative competence for professional communication within academic society at the level B1/B2 (Independent User) of European communicative competences. During the course, which has been primarily created for the staff of a technical university, the major features of the academic style of communication, academic grammar and vocabulary as well as the structure of the presentation and the ways of presenting scientific contents are studied and practised. Consequently, upon completing the course, the university staff are able to share the results of their professional activity with their foreign colleagues. The learners are expected to obtain the skills of making and delivering a presentation on their professional profile, duties, and challenges, which appears to be one of the major outcomes of the programme.

Komnatnaya S.R. SUBJECTIVE SEMANTICS OF THE “GUILT” LEXEME AS A PART OF LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE YOUNG RUSSIAN NATIVE SPEAKER. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 3 (215). P. 25-32

Introduction. This article reconstructs the subjective semantics of the “guilt” lexeme based on the results of associative experiments with young Russian native speakers. Aim and objectives. The aim of this research is to find out what components of meanings are associated with a given lexeme in the language consciousness of a modern young person and which of these components are prevalent. Material and methods. In order to achieve this goal, free associative experiments were conducted among the student audience. The results of these experiments were compared with the data of the Russian Associative Dictionary, which made it possible to trace the changes in the language consciousness over the past few decades in dynamics. Results and discussion. In explanatory dictionaries, guilt is defined solely as a fact of misconduct, crime, or the cause of something unfavorable. However, the analysis of the associative fields obtained as a result of free associative experiments indicates a discrepancy between the lexicographic interpretation of guilt and the complex of meanings that is reflected in the language consciousness of a young Russian native speaker. Much more significant for the recipients is the psychological aspect of the studied semantic area: they define guilt, first of all, as an individual’s feeling, directly related to his conscience and causing a whole range of negative emotions. In addition, guilt is associated with the sphere of social and legal relations, that is the sphere that is regulated by law or other legal norms. Conclusion. Compared to 1980–1990 there have been significant changes in the language consciousness of young Russian native speakers. The number of legal responses to the “guilt” incentive has increased, which may indicate an increase in the level of legal literacy. However, the most significant for the recipients were the emotional and sensory characteristics of guilt, as well as the contexts in which this semantic area enters: both in relations between people and in the moral and moral self-assessment of the individual.

Grammar is a separate subject at linguistic departments and faculties in Russia, which is in line with the existing system of teaching aspects of language to students of Linguistics. However, lessons of practical grammar at linguistic departments can and must facilitate the development of discourse competence as an integral part of communicative competence. The use of non-finite forms of the English verb (verbals) which is usually found in the 2nd year syllabus is often discourse-bound. The basic pre-requisite for teaching non-finite forms of the verb is that students should be disposed to different discourse types, given models of texts with the grammatical structures in question and taught to create their own texts using discourse markers and features of text organisation. The article describes techniques of practicing non-finite forms of the verb (verbals) in English aimed at strengthening discourse skills in university students and exposing them to different discourse types.

Novikov M.S. SOME RESULTS OF THE ACTIVITIES OF RUSSIAN NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN RUSSIA AND WESTERN SIBERIA (1985–1996'S). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 9 (162). P. 223-228

In the historiography the process of formation and development of Russian national organizations, as well as their participation in the restructuring and the dismantling of the Soviet system is poorly studied. Studies show that during this period they participated in the struggle against the CPSU and leftist movements, providing support for the “right” for liberals and democrats, advocating in their programs the need to abandon the planned economy and the multinational state. The analysis of works of nationwide historiography allows us to conclude that the use of Western Siberia materials and involving them in the context of Russian national research organizations is not enough. The authors studying the problem at the national level used primarily governing body documents and materials on the activities of Russian nationalists in the European part of Russia. Researchers from Western Siberia in relation to 1980's examine the activities of “Memorial” and “Memory” to 1990's, in fragments studied activity of the Russian National Union (ROS), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the Russian Public Movement (ROD), the Congress of Russian Communities (KRO) and Russian National Unity (RNE). Fedyaeva E.V. MIND IMAGES AS A FORM OF REALITY COGNITION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 3 (168). P. 73-78

The article dwells on certain aspects of the correlation between the mind units and language units. Addressing the issues of mind in order to investigate the connection between the language units semantics and mental images makes it possible to single out general, individual and culturally marked components of reality cognition. Different approaches to the term image are under consideration. The reconstruction of the mind images that appear to be the result of differently channeled cognition processes has been attempted at. It is suggested that the mind images create a certain basis as soon as they reflect the results of the reality cognition confined within a culture as well as individual interpretation of the perceptual information. This cognitive basis serves in turn as a foundation for the image of the world, and a motivating ground for the language units semantics. Imagery may be treated as one of the ways of reality conceptualization.

Mel’nikova G.T. “THE FRESH WIND, AND BLACK THOUGHTS” OF ST. PETERSBURG (BASED ON THE NOVEL BY N. F. PAVLOV, “THE DEMON”). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 3 (209). P. 7-13

Introduction. The author investigates the novel “The Demon” by Nikolai Filippovich Pavlov, whose name is little known to a wide range of modern readers. The purpose of the article is to analyze the main motives and images of the story about “the poor official”, which is based on one of the main subjects of Russian literature of the XIX century. Material and methods. The material of the study was the work included in the collection “New stories”, published in 1839. A comprehensive analysis of the text using cultural-historical and comparative-historical methods is undertaken. Results and discussion. The main techniques used by Pavlov to create motives and images are antithesis and contrast. In the system of characters of the story the central place is occupied by the image of St. Petersburg. “The giant of the North”, combining good and evil, appears as an independent character with a contradictory fantastic force that suppresses the will, changes the minds and destinies of people. Such a city is close to Dostoevsky’s Petersburg, who called it “the most fantastic” and “intentional”. The main character is an elderly, poor official, whose image is close to the characters of Dostoevsky (Makar Devushkin) and Gogol (Akaky Akakievich). Marrying a young beauty only increases dissatisfaction with life. The order of St. Anne, which the character dreams of, becomes a symbol of happiness and success. For the sake of this, he goes to a step contrary to morality and common sense-skillfully offers his wife as a lover to his boss. This idea comes to him as a “diabolical obsession” sent by St. Petersburg. A similar development of the storyline “official-wife” occurs in the story of A. P. Chekhov “Anna on the neck”. Similar are the reasons for the marriage of women, the ways chosen by their husbands to improve their situation, as well as the result of family and human relations of characters. Conclusion. In the disclosure of the theme of “the little man” Pavlov was the successor of the traditions of A. S. Pushkin and the predecessor of Gogol, Dostoevsky, Chekhov. The novel “The Demon” was a confirmation of the judgment that the works of writers “not the first magnitude” should not be forgotten.

The purpose of the article is to describe the reminiscence genre and its linguistic implementation in the speech of Russian re-emigrants, who came from China to Australia in the 20th century. Material and methods. The research is based on the study of the recorded interviews with Russian re-emigrants from China to Australia (10 interviews). The method of linguistic description of the «Reminiscences» genre was used as the main method to analyse their speech from the point of view of its thematic and linguistic distinctiveness. Results and discussion. The paper presents the thematic originality of stories about Harbin, determined by the particular lifestyle of Russian eastern emigration. A number of micro-themes have been identified in the framework of the study: The Russian appearance of Harbin, resettlement to Harbin, Russians and Chinese, Japanese occupation of Harbin. Genre features and linguistic specificities have been determined. The analysis of the Russian re-emigrants’ stories about Harbin made it possible to identify some typical and specific features. Among the typical features are: the use of past-tense verbs, the use of spoken and neutral vocabulary and metatext lexical units. The specific features of the stories about Harbin, embodied in the «Reminiscences» genre, have been determined. They include the use of syntactic means and structures characteristic of written speech, the use of bookish, high-flown and obsolete vocabulary, as well as Harbin vocabulary and borrowings from the Chinese language. You can compare how the thoughts about the public good are changing, if you consider theoretical constructions of different philosophers and the sociologists which represent systems of the relations between state and human society, developed in a certain social and economic, political and cultural contexts. These theoretical constructions (models) reflecting various scientists’ views on the problem of relationships between state and human society demand a substantiation – definition of certain norms (moral, legal, religious) on which these mutual relations are based on. The author makes an attempt to define internal logic of movement from one model to another and to find out, how changes in political and philosophical idea and moral philosophy are interconnected.

Kolychev N.M. RELATIVE ONTOLOGY AND SCIENCE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2013. Issue 9 (137). P. 273-281

Ontology is a knowledge about world as a whole. Union of ontology and science put some limitations on ontology, that are caused by need to co-ordinate language of science with language of ontology. Main characteristic features of science are logic and mathematics. Union of ontology and science could be successful only if ontology will have the same features. These requirements meets relative ontology based on a assumption that being is possible only through act of inequality, and non-being – through act of equality. Examining of inequality structure leads us to a need of considering in being act of equality as well. As a result we should refuse of considering problems of Being–Non- Being separately and proceed to united problem of Being–Non-Being. Inequality can be represented by mathematical subtraction. That allows to substantiate ontologically basic mathematical concepts: concepts of set and number. Mathematics become a part of ontology. Inequality is an idea. Equality is a matter. Being is a unity of matter and idea. Change of being can be fulfilled in two ways – material and ideal. Relation between both ways of change gives us three basic kind of being: somatic, anthropological and theological. In somatic being change is realized by means of material way. In anthropological being – both material and ideal ways are equally available. Theological being uses ideal way of change. Development of world proceeds from somatic – through anthropological – to theological one.

The article deals with language representation of media communicative universal – the law of pragmatically conditioned combination of stereotype and creativity in media interpretation of a newsbreak. Media communicative universal is considered as a communicative law and the principles of textual organization which realize it and reflect informational reason as an element of media communication, and which corresponds to criteria of frequency and repetition. The article points to means and ways of language representation of communicative principles, which realize this law for effective communication: principle of empathy and a model in media actualization of informational reason and principle of simultaneous stimulation of typical and unique associations in the process of media communication on the base of different means and ways of regulativity usage. Usage of complex methods including discursive, semantic-stylistic and comparative analysis allowed to reveal the specificity of actualization of pragmatically conditioned combination of stereotype and creativity in discursive practice of famous informational and media language personalities, who take part in the program “Unedited” on the radio station site “Echo of Moscow” in November 2016 (lawyer, writer, journalist and politician). The findings represent the interest for the theory of speech communication, media linguistics and communicative stylistics of the text.
