| 3005 | We review the recent attempts of unifying inflation with quintessence. It appears natural to join the two ends in the framework of brane world cosmology. The models of quintessential inflation belong to the class of non-oscillatory models for which the mechanism of conventional reheating does not work. Reheating through gravitational particle production is inefficient and leads to the excessive production of relic gravity waves which results in the violation of nucleosynthesis constraint. The mechanism of "Instant preheating" is quite efficient and is suitable for brane world quintessential inflation. | 3017 | The article discusses the characteristics of cognitive mechanisms of semantic transformations in phraseological units (FU): literal interpretation, dual actualization and reinterpretation. The author analyses the particular examples of semantic transformations in FU found in the letters. The article explores general principles in functioning of cognitive mechanisms of semantic transformations in FU and their distinctive features. In the analysis of the contextual use of transformed phraseological units there are used the data of extra-linguistic category contained in the comments to letters, reference literature. The author believes that literal interpretation of FU is provided by the associative relationship with the component composition of each of FU. If cognitive mechanisms ensuring this technique does not work, it does not affect the decoding of meaning. During dual actualization lexical meanings of components of FU and phraseological meanings operate simultaneously, layering. The author focuses on the “dual” meaning of such units, achievable by this technique, and relies on the effect of this semantic technique. If the mechanism fails, some part of the coded by this method information becomes lost for recipient. Reinterpretation gives FU an occasional sense. The author of the article proves that encoding can be successful if the semantic content of FU is explained by means of surrounding context. | 3020 | Introduction. The specificity of the somatic code of culture as one of the most ancient is described. The research interest in its verbal representation is substantiated. Aim and objectives. The purpose of the article is to reveal the discursive-genre specificity of realization of the code function of somatism in the Russian folk lyrical song. Material and methods. The analysis is based on the material of 317 texts of of the genre under study, selected from folklore collections. The research methods are determined by the specificity of folk discourse, the peculiarities of ditties and lyrical songs as folklore genres with a pronounced lyrical principle, and the genre specificity of lyrical songs. As a methodological substantiation of the research, a comparison of lyrical songs and ditties are given in the aspect of identifying features important for identifying the specifics of the implementation of the code function of somatism. Results and discussion. Quantitative analysis of somatisms in the lyrical song showed that their composition corresponds to the composition of similar units in the ditty, which is justified by the structure of the general cultural somatic code and the proximity of the compared genres. The list of high-frequency units in the lyrical song is wider, which indicates the genre specificity that distinguishes the lyrical song from the ditty in the aspect of the repertoire of broadcast emotions and feelings. The specificity of the principles of organization and content of the somatic code in the lyrical song in comparison with the ditty is illustrated by the analysis of the use of somatism hand. The assumption of a genre-conditioned orientation of the lyrical song for a more detailed than in a ditty, prescription of somatic reactions and sensations, feelings reflecting the installation to the direct description of emotions and feelings, is confirmed. Conclusion. The analysis showed that the content and principles of the somatic code organization in the lyrical song, firstly, are based on its appeal to the national values, symbolically represented in the nominations of human body parts, which is typical for the folklore discourse as a whole. Secondly, in the lyrical song, the examined code acquires genre specificity, which is most pronounced when it is compared with the ditty. As a result of their comparison, it was found that somatisms participate in the transmission of emotions and feelings, which are transmitted through the description of the somatic reactions and sensations of the characters, both in the ditty and in the lyric song. Unlike ditty, in lyrical song repertoire of emotions and feelings realized by means of somatism is wider. IMoreover, these emotions appear as more generalized - on the one hand, but described in more detail - on the other. | 3021 | Introduction. Borrowings from Yiddish language in the American English are considered. This layer of borrowings is of special interest in the English language as the question of systematization of borrowed words from Yiddish and their complex description has not been solved yet. The aim is to describe the structural and functional features of borrowings from the Yiddish language in the American English. Material and methods. The research material is borrowed verbs from the Yiddish language, which belong to the colloquial vocabulary (to kibitz and to schmooze). The research methods are lexicographical and contextual analysis, as well as descriptive and comparative methods. Results and discussion. The borrowed lexemes schmooze and kibitz which are elements of the lexico-semantic field «Verbal communication» have negative connotation in modern English. The analysis of vocabulary definitions and etymology has shown that the meaning of borrowed verbs in English does not coincide with the meaning of the verbs in Yiddish, as in the process of borrowing there was a gradual change in the semantics of borrowed words. The initial meaning of the verbs in Yiddish is connected with information (communication of information). The meanings of the borrowed verbs are based on the common seme «verbal influence» (hidden or obvious). The verb to schmooze has several different meanings: to talk, to manipulate, to influence, to network. The meaning of the verb to kibitz has been divided into several categories: to make ironic comments, to comment, to give intrusive and unrequested advice while watching a game, performance. The shift in the meaning of the verb to schmooze is based on the phonosemantic effect, which is produced by the sound combination schm-. The change in the meaning of the verb to kibitz can be explained by high frequency of use when it appeared in American English. Taking into account the information from academic and slang dictionaries, the exact time of appearance of the lexeme schmooze (1897) and the approximate time for the lexeme kibitz (1910-1927) has been established. Non-conformity with norms of the Yiddish language when the Yiddish borrowings are used by non-Jewish English speakers is the reason of multiple variants of spelling of borrowed words in the English language. Conclusion. The research has focused on the peculiarities of lexicography of borrowed words in academic and slang dictionaries. The results prove that it is necessary to develop an integrated approach to the description of borrowings from the Yiddish language and their description in various dictionaries. The author aims to emphasize the importance and ne¬cessity of using mental games for preschool children in class which favour creative abilities of children.
