| 5953 | The paper reviews preverbs of Eastern Khanty dialects. The main focus of the discussion is to summarize and to analyze these units of speech. The analysis is carried out from the functional semantic point of view. Preverbs are adverbial, usually lative, particles that modify spatial characteristic of the verbs they are used with. Preverbs function as a derivational unit. Usually preverbs go before the verb and are connected with it morphologically and syntactically. Seldom, a negative particle, direct object or an auxiliary particle may occur between them. Preverbs are believed to be a separate part of speech because from the point of view of phonetics they do not form a single word with a verb that follows. | 5955 | The article below attempts to define, organize and structure genre varieties of operating instruction. Technical instruction and user manual have been already described in traditional linguistic research. The current study has revealed that genre varieties of operating instruction include new ones that have appeared recently. These are MissingManual, ForDummies, and TheCompleteIdiot’sGuide. The appearance of new genre varieties is due to the rapid development of technical progress. The current research shows that the new genre varieties of operating instruction fall into subclasses. It has been established that the main differences between Missing Manual, For Dummies and The Complete Idiot’s Guide include the way of presenting information in the text, thematic scope and functional stylistics status of the above mentioned texts. The Complete Idiot’s Guide and For Dummies are characterized by emotiveness, the use of resources of expressiveness such as metaphor, allusion, antonomasia and other stylistics devices. The Missing Manual has a specialized field, while For Dummies and The Complete Idiot’s Guide tend to be multidisciplinary texts. Unlike technical, or operating, instructions belonging to scientific style, Missing Manual, For Dummies and The Complete Idiot’s Guide are hybrid mixed genres that combine elements of scientific, advertising and colloquial styles. The characteristic feature of the studied metaphorical model is the close synthesis of pagan and Christian concepts, the appeal to fundamental oppositions “good – evil” and “own – alien”, estimation approach to cognizable fragments of reality. By means of a metaphorical projection from the area of “religion” into the area of “man’s inner world” in an art discourse the spiritual qualities of the person, emotional life, personal relations between the man and the woman are represented. The peak of the use of religious metaphors in an art discourse is XVIII–XIX centuries. | 5963 | In modern literary studies in the context of globalization processes “mass culture” is less criticized as something “low” in relation to “elite”. Mass literature claims equal rights with any other literature in connection with the latest discourse of relativism and pluralism, when there is no consistent hierarchy of literary values. Moreover, popular literature increasingly becoming better and more inventive. However, these processes also lead to the erasure of cultural identity, in particular national and religious, as shown in the article on the example of the Christian novel by William Paul Young “The Shack”. The novel significantly deviates from the norms of the biblical Canon in matters of the value of the Church, Scripture, the image of God, the concept of hierarchy, and this deviation is associated with such global processes as multiculturalism, democracy, individualism, liberalism, etc. For example, instead of addressing the Church and the Bible, the main character receives a note from God for a personal audience, during which God appears before him in the image of a large black woman. The mass popularity of the novel around the world testifies to the crisis of modern religious identity, as it is positioned as a Christian, and in fact is heretical. | 5979 | Modern kickboxing imposes high demands not only to the technical, physical and tactical training of athletes, but also to their moral, volitional and mental qualities. Nowadays there is a necessity to develop the athletes’ ability to quickly analyse the situation in a competitive fight, to switch from defensive actions to attacking and conversely. This is associated with the formation of appropriate personal qualities (courage, determination, purposefulness, responsibility) and strengthening the educational component in the training process. The aim is to substantiate the experimental methodology of education of courage of young kickboxers, engaged in the school of Olympic reserve, and to reveal its influence on the quality of sports training and education of moral qualities. Analysis of theoretical sources with a description of research on athletes in individual and team, cyclic and acyclic sports (sports training) and research on cadets of the Military Department and the Department of Internal Affairs (professional-applied training), as well as analysis of practical experience of coaches-teachers of kickboxing in sports complex “Start” (Tomsk). The problem of research was stated, consisting in the lack of modern methods of education of courage of kickboxers 11–12 years old, engaged in a sports school of Olympic reserve. The content was also substantiated and the effectiveness of the experimental methodology was experimentally confirmed. The results of its implementation in preparation of kickboxers of the experimental group showed that the changes of effects in all control trials at the end of the experiment were significantly higher and statistically reliable comparing to the results of kickboxers of the control group, which didn’t have any statistical validity. The development of courage of young kickboxers is favourably influenced by increasing the degree of difficulty of performing training exercises, which is realized by means of additional equipment and the introduction of complicating conditions. The results of the pedagogical experiment allow us to conclude that there is a correlation between the rates of courage development and the activity rate of young kickboxers in a competitive fight. | 5980 | The ways of conveying metaphors of two directions are analyzed: loneliness – death and loneliness – desert. The conducted research made it possible to reveal the main part of the metaphorical layer of the concept of “loneliness” in the original novel and to identify the features of its formation. Consideration of the transformations used in the transfer of metaphorical content made it possible to reveal the features of this concept in the translation version. The purpose of the article is to analyze the ways of conveying the expression of the metaphorical content of the concept of “loneliness” in the Russian translation of the novel by G. G. Marquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude”, performed by M. I. Bylinkina. The novelty is determined by the fact that in the stated aspect the text of the novel was not considered and the results of the analysis will contribute to a comprehensive, complete study of the novel, including in the aspect of translation studies. The material for the analysis is the original text of the novel by G. G. Marquez in Spanish and the text of his translation by M. I. Bylinkina. Metaphors included in the concept of “loneliness” and methods of their translation into Russian are analyzed. The descriptive method and the method of comparative analysis, the method of metaphorical modeling are used. The statistics of the used translation transformations were revealed: contextual replacement – 15, generalization – 13, specification – 5, replacement of parts of speech – 8, replacement of sentence members – 6, replacement of word forms – 4, literal translation – 3 uses. The translator most often uses the technique of contextual substitution, transforming a metaphor or part of it into a lexeme with a different semantics. The technique of generalization contributes to changing the periphery of the concept, expanding its meaning, which leads to semantic blurriness. Frequent use of the technique of concretization (narrowing of meaning) leads to the conclusion that in translation the image of loneliness is expressed to a lesser extent, due to the choice of lexemes with a less negative connotation and others with a narrower meaning. The desert is characterized through a desert of disappointment and oblivion; deserted streets, deserted ruins, a desert of mirages, a desert of loneliness, love, glory. Death – through mourning, desolation, cessation of communication, unbearable loneliness, oblivion, lack of response, immersion in loneliness, abandonment, melancholy, cyclicality and inseparability of death and loneliness, an endless labyrinth of loneliness, widowhood without death, damnation, isolation. | 5988 | Introduction. The article is devoted to the consideration of the semantic-cognitive and functional-pragmatic features of somatisms in the texts of Russian folklore lyric songs. The object of scientific description is the semantics of somatisms as markers of national identity, which receives conceptual comprehension in connection with its study in the aspect of genre-discursive originality of lyric songs. Aim and objectives. The aim of the research is to study the somatic code, explicated by the lexeme-somatism head in the folklore fragment of the Russian picture of the world, taking into account the genre-discursive conditionality of the functioning of this lexeme. Material and methods. 127 texts of Russian folklore lyric songs containing the lexeme-somatism head, selected by continuous sampling from a collection of lyric songs were used as the research material. The main research methods are observation methods, quantitative analysis, lexical-semantic analysis, elements of discourse and conceptual analysis are used. Results and discussion. The starting point of the study was the thesis that somatisms have not only linguistic, speech, but also linguoculturological and linguo-cognitive status. Somatisms are rightfully defined as linguistic markers of the cultural code of Russian identity and a fragment of the national picture of the world. In the meaning of most Russian somatisms, there is a pronounced national-cultural component of meaning. The lexeme-somatism head belongs to the content of especially significant somatisms, since in the linguistic picture of the world it implements conceptual concepts that are important for understanding the mentality of the Russian people: «the owner of the family» (at the head of the family), «the main person in the house» (at the head of the table), «trait of a national character” (rave head), etc. These interpretations have the specificity of implementation in lyric songs of different genre and discursive nature. The last parameter is defined as extralinguistic, related directly to the thematic content of each specific text. The last parameter is defined as extralinguistic, related directly to the thematic content of each specific text. Among the genre varieties of lyric songs are analyzed love, family, military, workers, anticlerical, coachman, burlak lyric songs, songs about village holidays, about everyday life. The study also revealed common features that reflect the functioning of the head somatism in the lyric songs in general. These features are due to a special kind of lyricism: penetration, reflexivity, heightened feelings of the author, the ultimate subjectivism of the narrative. Conclusion. The study of somatisms in the aspect of their culturological marking makes it possible to identify the specifics of their semantics, pragmatics and functioning in texts of different genre and discursive orientation. The interpretation of the somatic code of Russian culture by means of an analysis of somatisms is deepened and objectified in the context of the genre-discursive approach. | 5995 | Introduction. The article discusses the possibility of forming a literary type of speech culture of undergraduates with the help of personal reflection, which allows students to realize themselves as a linguistic person, identify and analyze models of communicative behavior and the possibility of changing them. At the same time, the experience of conflict between the established way of speech behavior and its change in order to improve communication is not suppressed, but exacerbated and leads to the mobilization of the resources of the linguistic personality to achieve the solution of communicative tasks. Personal reflection performs the function of self-determination of the individual in the process of realizing that communication as a sphere of human existence can change and thereby affect the quality of attitudes in society. The author substantiates the need to actualize the reflexive mechanism in learning as a key quality of the bearer of the literary type of speech culture, according to the classification of O. B. Sirotinina, I. A. Sternin. Aim and objectives. Analysis of the influence of the factor of personal reflection in teaching on improving the level of speech culture of university students. Material and methods. Further, the article presents the educational and methodological experience of the formation of the literary type of speech culture of undergraduates in the course of studying the discipline «Speech culture of academic and professional interaction». The examples of practical work with students to improve the communicative qualities of speech as components of speech culture through introspection are described. Based on the analysis of the value attitude of students to the communicative qualities of speech and the classification features of the carriers of the literary type of speech culture, the problematic aspects of its formation are identified. Results and discussion. The result of the study is the identification of the most vulnerable places in the formation of speech culture: these are such significant qualities of speech as purity and expressiveness. The main factor in the violation of the purity of speech is the loyal attitude of students to obscene language. The article describes the experience of changing the attitude towards the use of invectives in the course of reflection. Analysis of the use of obscene language in the personal language practice of students, its functions in speech and the negative impact on communication changes the attitude towards the use of foul language, leads to an understanding of the need for its limited use. Violation of purity, in turn, is associated with a violation of the expressiveness of speech. An important understanding of the need to develop this quality becomes, firstly, students’ awareness of the influence of expression and imagery of speech on the addressee, and secondly, understanding the individuality of the image as an expression of the speaker’s personality, personal experiences, feelings, impressions. Conclusion. The article concludes that an important task of using reflection is the task of self-development, the identification of personal language problems and speech deficiencies and the possibility of working with them in the future in order to form a literary type of speech culture.
