The article considers intercultural interaction as the order of modern communities, and the goal of the professional educational space - to develop highly efficient tools and techniques that contribute to their development - is relevant and in demand. The role of the foreign language as a means of intercultural communication is undeniable. But it is not sufficient to have just speaking skills on household topics in foreign language for successful communication on professional issues. The key point in the preparation of a professional is the formation of vocabulary system in a certain area in the target language. The article covers the widespread ways of automating the development and use of terminological dictionaries in future engineers foreign language teaching. Creating automated electronic dictionaries and terminology data banks allows you to receive the necessary information about the terms and concepts referred to them with the help of computers, in other words certain specific areas or activities are displayed in a systematic form that helps extracting accurate and adequate information from comprehension of the actual information through the reading of original texts in the professional field. The analysis of literature on the creation of educational terminological dictionaries has identified features which could have pedagogical value in the future engineers foreign language teaching, for example, dictionary creator’s collective activity, the aim and the result (training trilingual glossary of terms), and it can be used as a means of students’ reading skills verification.

The impact function of the mass media causes the use of expressive means of language; the main of them is a metaphor. At the same time the impact of metaphor seems a rather complex phenomenon, so the study of its functions does not cease to be relevant. A wide range of functions of the metaphor and their hierarchy are considered in the context of the newspaper sport discourse on the example of the sports report genre. The analysis is illustrated by vivid examples from the Russian and German press; it shows that this figure of speech is the most important means of pragmatic impact in the sports discourse and in the written sports report, in particular. Consequently, the pragmatics has a target status in the hierarchy of functions. Expressiveness and evaluativity are considered as the most important functions. Moreover, the metaphor has a decorative, attractiveness, game, hyperbole, compression, conspire, encoding, and mnemonic functions that are rarely traced in the text of their own and rather provide a comprehensive impact on the reader. At the same time, the metaphor can perform almost the opposite tasks: mnemonic and conspiracy functions. Consequently, the functional properties of metaphors are in the relationship of interdependence and mutual reinforcement.

In spite of the fact that the importance and need for teaching technologies in the educational process (at all levels) is clearly recognized, the precise and universal classifications of teaching technologies (regardless of the subject area) are currently nonexistent. There is a vast variety of names and types of teaching technologies, including numerous authors’ technologies, developed by both creative and professional communities and individual teachers. One may observe lack of system, scientific basis and unified approaches to the classifications of pedagogical, educational and teaching technologies. The author justifies the specifics and the necessity to consider the instrumentality principle in the process of classification of foreign languages teaching technologies, and states the main tools of foreign languages teaching technologies. The principle of instrumentality as the primary basis for the classification of teaching technologies requires to take tools (basis) of the subject teaching into account. The classification of foreign languages teaching technologies may include mono-tool (poly-target), poly-tool (mono-target) and tool-target teaching technologies. Each type of teaching technologies is illustrated by the scheme of implementation model. The third type of teaching technologies (tool-target) is the most accurately and exactly formulated and effectively implemented type. The article includes some examples of technologies of teaching foreign languages based on the principle of instrumentality (evidence from the titles of foreign languages teaching technologies found in the articles published in the well-known Russian scientific journal “Foreign languages at school”). The third type of teaching technologies (tool-target) is the most accurately and exactly formulated and effectively implemented type. The article includes some examples of technologies of teaching foreign languages based on the principle of instrumentality (evidence from the titles of foreign languages teaching technologies found in the articles published in the well-known Russian scientific journal “Foreign languages at school”).

The article describes how the integrated health-improving aerobics exercise programme based on the body ballet technique may increase physical and theoretical fitness, boost motivation of technical university students. Training effects of the integrated programme are compared with the results gained by doing exercises of traditional type. The approach under experiment includes a programme aimed at target training of aerobics capacity, strength as well as at learning body movement skills. The programme features some peculiarities of students’ theoretical background implementation and is carried out in a step-by-step way. A number of tests have been used to determine the efficiency of both experimental and traditional methods. The new experimental approach has proved to be the more beneficial, which is clearly shown by the results of the tests

The article, referring to the researchers of Shakespeare, names structural and substantive features of his comedies of the 1590-s: natural characters, love story organized by event, carnival atmosphere, a humorous tinge. It is shown that all these features are characteristic for Russian comedy “The Irony of Fate” by E. Braginsky and E. Ryazanov, and the most important are characteristic for comedies by A. Vampilov, A. Arbuzov etc. Shakespeare`s comedy declared itself as developing genre.
