The article is devoted to analysis of spouses’ relationship in famous English poet G. Chaucer’s creations. The author puts a question of its peculiarities to be connected with social and economic development of England in XIV century. Conclusion to be done shows spouses evaluating marriage as a transaction and this feature links to growing commodity-money relationships within the region this period. Peculiarities of development of new social and economic structure are discussed.

Nosyrev Viktor Valeryevich THE WAYS OF THE FORMATION OF KONSTANTIN ROKOSSOVSKY'S IDENTITY // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 2 (155). P. 44-49

The article deals with the formation of Rokossovsky's identity that occurred through identifications with significant others (primarily with parents and ordinary hardworking people during his biographical experiences, and also with «the characters of his favourite books» as they are perceived). These others may be divided into benign such that Konstantin aspired to their characteristics, values and beliefs (a process of idealistic-identification), or malign when he wished to dissociate from their characteristics. The article shows that Rokossovsky’s identity is formed predominantly by a choice of certain characteristics. The construction of an individual sense of self is achieved by personal choices regarding who and what to associate with. Rokossovsky’s identity is defined as the totality of his self-construal, in which he expresses the continuity between how the charismatic people were in the past and how Rokossovsky construes himself as he aspires to be in the future. This article also directs attention to Rokossovsky's impact on his solders.

Badmaeva Margarita Ayusheyevna, Kryukova Larissa Borisovna SEMANTICS OF THE STATE AND ITS LANGUAGE MEANS OF EXPRESSION IN L. S. PETRUSHEVSKAYA STORIES (ON THE MATERIAL OF THE STORY “OLYA GIRL” // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 2 (179). P. 14-17

The article presents an analysis of the linguistic means of expression of semantics of mental and physical states and their functional load in the stories by L. S. Petrushevskaya. In the process of representation of the studied semantics the traditional two-component models (the predicate and the carrier of the state) are characteristic of the syntactic level, on the semantic level attention focuses on the degree of intensity and depression. The simplicity of language means of expression is one of the key characteristics of creative works by L. S. Petrushevskaya. Conversational vocabulary, abundant urban slang, simple sentences, short gloomy phrases of the characters create a special artistic world of the author. In characters’ feelings expression there are no middle, neutral, «etiquette» of emotions, there is always felt anguish and emotional intensity: loved, wept, hard, etc. Hate is expressed indirectly, through the prism of despair and powerlessness. An analysis of the semantics of language means of expression in L. S. Petrushevskaya’s stories states the evidence of their artistic significance in the process of describing characters’ images. Laconic and simple shapes clearly highlight the depth of the feelings and experiences of the characters, the description of the emotional, physical and mental state generates a representation of the inner world of the characters, their perception of reality.

Li Qin. THE SPEECH MOVES TO IMPLEMENT THE COMMUNICATION TACTICS OF RESPONSE EVASION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 34-38

The article clarifies the concepts of communicative strategy, communicative tactics, communicative and speech course and discusses the speech moves that are used by the speaker to implement communicative tactics of response evasion. Evasion is an insincere speech reaction of the respondent, who deliberately hides the fact that he cannot or does not want to answer the question. Communicative tactics of evading response is a complex of speech actions, which are directed on implicit expression of unwillingness of the addressee of a question to provide the requested information. Evasion of the answer can be carried out in different ways, with different speech moves. When clarifying the question, the addressee answers the question with a question. When providing a demonstrative uninformative response, representative speech act (for example, a message) serves as a speech course for implementing the tactics of evading response. The answer can be forwarded to the inquirer by means of a counter-question or by means of a direct or indirect speech act of council. For switching the interrogator’s attention to another subject, the addressee of the question can use a message, a question, a sentence, etc. When demonstratively pointing to the impossibility of answering the question, the addressee may use expressive, representative, directive speech act (a statement reflecting the addressee’s dissatisfaction with the question, objection, message, proposal, etc.).

The rapidly changing social reality which researchers characterize as a situation of social uncertainty, determines the challenges, problems and opportunities of the youth’s living space. The lack of clear guidelines for the future, the reassessment of the values of the older generation, serious functional changes in the family institution, the increasing influence of the mass information media and the Internet space, actualize the need for targeted educational interaction of social institutions with young people. In the work on the basis of historical and pedagogical analysis, the concept of “modern youth” is specified, and a description of the content of this concept in changing social reality is proposed. The article describes the situation of uncertainty as an opportunity for the development and actualization of the social potential of young people, the manifestation of an active and responsible position of a young person in various interrelated living spatial circumstances. Three groups of problems that define the living space of younger generation and are formed in the situation of uncertainty are presented: the organization of the educational space of educational organizations that promotes the realization of the potential of the young man as a subject of his own life; use of the opportunities of society and its transformation into an educational space; effective interaction of social institutions in the education of youth. The article contains the analysis of English sport snowboard terms the selection of which is made from English terminological dictionaries and thematic Internet resources in the English language. The results of the research show that more than half of the English sport snowboard lexicon consists structurally of two-component, three-component and four-component phrases. Semantically two thirds of the English sport snowboard terms denote different types of the board for snowboard, body armour for snowboard, binding and its parts. One third of the English snowboard terminology comprises terms that express parts of the board for snowboard, clothes and boots for snowboard as well as their parts.

Multilingual simplifies the process of Universities internalization because of the activities of its internal resource when the staff and students can take part in different international scientific and practical conferences, apply to various grants and become participants of numerous academic mobility programs. It is very good not only for the University status in educational top list, but also for person, developing sociological, cognitive and psychological knowledge and skills.

The obtained data of morphofunctional condition and blood hormone levels of rats thyroid glands under 5 days exposure of hypokinezia, cold and their combination are presented. It was established that cold exposure in combination with hypokinezia gave rise to compromising reaction of thyroid gland, when there were elements of reaction to both hypokinezia and cold. Some of follicles in central gland,s zone were in condition of great functional stress, but the rest of part (it was more than 2 volume) was in deep depression of synthesis and secretion. So considerable deficiency of thyroid hormones in organism appeared and it lead to heavy breach of metabolism, weakening of the mechanisms of thermoregulation and even to the death of some rats at the end of the experiment.

Introduction. The need for the search of the new strategies of the foreign language teaching in non-linguistic universities defines the researchers’ attention to the use of the Internet-memes as an effective means stimulating the students` interest to language learning. The aim of the article is to present theoretical and practical justification of the possibilities of Internet-memes use for development of non-linguistic university students` motivation to learning the foreign language. Material and methods. The research is based on the analysis of literature on creolized texts use in teaching, organizing the students’ language work with memes, defining the constituents of non-linguistic university students` motivation to English learning. In the result the set of classes facilitating the development of the students` motivation to language learning was designed and the methodical experiment aimed at implementation of the solutions under the consideration was carried out. Internet-memes selected in accordance with teaching content on the discipline are used as the material. Results and discussion. The algorithm of organizing students’ work with memes that includes motivational and perceptional, reproductive and practical, creative and transformational stages is outlined; versatile methodical apparatus of the process implementation is presented. The author notes the aspects of organization of the students’ work with memes as well as its motivational opportunities. The set of English classes oriented on using memes in the developing students’ motivation to language learning is presented. The examples of the exercises organizing the students’ work with a certain meme are given. The article presents criterial and diagnostic apparatus to evaluate students’ motivational level to English learning and the results proving the suggested solutions efficiency. Conclusion. The memes’ variety, free access, relevance to modern tendencies make them a powerful tool motivating students to deep language learning. Systematically organized students’ activity with memes contributes to the development of their foreign language skills.
