As the markers are rather old, the original meaning of them was connected with an earlier category – category of animateness/inanimateness, i.e. they were markers of animateness. Generation of the grammatical gender was connected with vowel markers.

Pletneva Lyudmila Mikhailovna METAL MIRRORS OF THE BRONZE AGE FROM THE ELOVSKY II GRAVE FIELD // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 9 (162). P. 241-246

The paper is devoted to one of unique artifacts of the Bronze Age – the mirror. These artifacts have been found in Tomsky and Elovsky II grave fields in the Tomsk Ob Region. The Elovsky II grave field contains 370 graves of the Andronovo and Elovo cultures, but mirrors have been found only in 12 graves. They belong to two groups: diskshaped and square mirrors. The paper analyzes the positions of mirrors in graves and persons to whom they were placed. As concluded, they were rarely placed to men, more often to women and children. In addition, the analysis of grave goods shows that children graves are especially rich in artifacts. This is typical of some burial grounds of the Bronze Age discovered in different areas. Mirrors had several functions: it was used as a fashion accessory, as an amulet, and as a symbol of belonging to elite and authority. Over a long period of time (the Bronze and Iron ages), mirrors had different functions in different areas and archaeological cultures.

Fedyaeva Elena Vladimirovna MIND IMAGES AS A FORM OF REALITY COGNITION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 3 (168). P. 73-78

The article dwells on certain aspects of the correlation between the mind units and language units. Addressing the issues of mind in order to investigate the connection between the language units semantics and mental images makes it possible to single out general, individual and culturally marked components of reality cognition. Different approaches to the term image are under consideration. The reconstruction of the mind images that appear to be the result of differently channeled cognition processes has been attempted at. It is suggested that the mind images create a certain basis as soon as they reflect the results of the reality cognition confined within a culture as well as individual interpretation of the perceptual information. This cognitive basis serves in turn as a foundation for the image of the world, and a motivating ground for the language units semantics. Imagery may be treated as one of the ways of reality conceptualization.

The article studies the methods and techniques to translate gerund and gerundial complexes in prose taking into consideration the specificity of this literary genre. The purpose of this article is to reveal the typical translation techniques and grammatical transformations that are most often used in the translation of a literary text. This theme is relevant because the methods of gerund reproducing in the literary text have not been studied in detail. A comparative analysis of the original text and the corresponding Russian text was carried out. Semantic, lexical, grammatical and syntactical peculiarities of translation are investigated. The question of the influence of the contextual environment, mini-context and macro-context on the regularities of translation is considered. As a result, several translation techniques typical for this Russian version of the novel were revealed. The author comes to the conclusion that when translating a literary text it is important to take into account the whole set of factors. The practical significance of the article lies in the fact that it can be used as a teaching material in the classroom of translation studies in pedagogical higher education institutions. The article may be of interest to everyone working in the field of translation studies.

Using AdS/CFT correspondence we found the conformal anomaly from d3 and dS gauged supergravity with single scalar (dilaton) and the arbitrary scalar potential on AdS-like scalar-gravitational background. Such dilatonic gravity action describes the special RG flows in extended gauged SG when scalers lie in one-dimensional submanifold of complete scalars space. This dilaton-dependent conformal anomaly corresponds to dual non-conformal (gauge) QFT with account of radiative corrections and (or) masses. The attempt to define c-function away of conformity is presented.

The calculations clearly show that the calculated by B3LYP/II and B3LYP/3-21G* 35CI frequencies correlate with the experimental values are the same. On the other hand the QCC values calculated with use of the pseudo potential for the central atoms provided much lower than the experimental ones. At the same time the QCC values of the central atoms calculated by B3LYP/3-21G* were well correlated with experimental values. The ZPE corrected complexation energies of the SbCI5L complexes do not upgrade the binding energies towards the experimental Gutmann's donor numbers. The donor-acceptor bonds for all complexes have a high degree of ionic character. The Wiberg bond order values determine of the detection of the metal-ligand bond orbitals with the exception of niobium complexes by NBO approach. The value of Wiberg bond order must be not lesser than 0.3. The donor-acceptor interactions of main-group elements such as Sb and Sn described in terms of the sp hybridization just as these interactions of transition metal elements mean sd hybridization.

Prevalence of depressive specter psychological symptoms in sanatorium-resort institution analyzed in the article. Rate of depressive specter disorders total 18.7%, number of distressed persons who has marked depressive symptoms aggregated 64.7% among vacationers who visited to the psychological service of the sanatorium. Practically all vacationers with depressive disorders or symptoms had somatic disease in a combination with stressful life events. At the majority of clients of sanatorium depressive disorders began without acute external reasons, but quality of chronic stressful life events determined the content of depressive experiences.

The article considers the issue of securing of quality of university specialist training in accordance with state educational standards. Systemic statistical control over academic activities is used as a means ensuring the university transition from orientation on final result control to the concept of identification and prevention of deficiencies in specialist training. Statistical control is understood as adjustment of the parameters of academic activities based on the results of random statistical testing of student proficiency. Shewhart control charts, Pareto charts, synchronic and diachronic analysis of results obtained in the course of student assessment, have been used as major methods. Application of statistical control methods facilitates feedback in academic activities, changes and improvement of management and process control. Butorin Sergey Sergeyevich DIRECTIONAL VERB SATELLITES IN THE KET LANGUAGE AND L. TALMY’S TYPOLOGIES OF LEXICALIZATION PATTERNS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 1 (116). P. 33-37

The paper presents the results of the analysis of the morphosyntactic components expressing the Path semantic component in the translational motion event which are referred to as directional verbal satellites following L. Talmy’s typology. The attempt has been made to characterize the Ket language using Talmy’s typologies of lexicalization patterns, as well as D. Slobin’s typology of the expression of motion events. The conclusion has been drawn that Ket belongs to satellite-framed languages (in L. Talmy’s typology), and to high-path-salient but low-manner-salient languages (in D. Slobin’s typology); the verb root characteristically does not confl ate the semantic components, but expresses only the Motion component.

The article considers the aspects of interaction between translation science and linguistics. The given article is devoted to the issues of teaching the scientific style of oral speech at a technical university. Based on many years of experience of working with student, graduate students, postgraduate students of Tomsk Polytechnic University, the authors propose the universal (independent of the scientific direction of students) content and form of teaching the scientific style of oral speech at the university. It is recommended to include the following topics to the course content of oral scientific speech: “The report as a genre of oral scientific speech”, “Elocution”, “The structure of the presentation of a scientific report”, “Presentation of a scientific report”, “Rules for scientific debate”. An “advanced lecture”, training and game are offered as the forms of classroom work, which allow to form the necessary knowledge basis of the principles of scientific oral communication; to develop skills; to stimulate students’ activity; to give students the opportunity to gain experience. This article contains examples of the use of the given forms of classroom work with the selected content.

The article deals with the phenomenon of the Russian language abroad. As the title implies the article describes general research context of the phenomenon and focuses on the research of the Russian-language emigrant newspapers. In general research the context of the phenomenon of the Russian language abroad, basic approaches and research aspects are analyzed. The analysis of approaches and aspects is based on research works published in Russia since 1990s. The author refers to sociolinguistic, lingvocultural and intergrated methods of the research to basic approaches. Research aspects of the phenomenon are presented as branches, waves and generations of the Russian emigration. The article provides in detail two branches of the Russian emigration which are differentiated to the geographical principle – the West and the East Russian emigration. It is also reported about the diachronic aspect of the phenomenon of the Russian language abroad – waves of the Russian emigration and the sociolinguistic and language description of their typical representatives are given. In addition to this the synchronic aspect is described – the Russian language of generations within the scope of waves. In the general context of the research phenomenon of the Russian language abroad the author gives much attention to the Russian language of ethnic Germans who emigrated from Russia to Germany in 1990s. The object of the research is modern Russian-language newspapers of Russian Germans who live in Germany. The author analyses the structure of the Russian-language printed emigrant newspaper market in Germany and points out modern tendencies in the Russian language of newspapers of Russian Germans in Germany.

In E.M. Afanasjeva’s article the poetic background of the basic Christian pray is investigated on the example of the analysis of transpositions by V.A. Zhukovsky, V.K. Kjuhel’bekera, A.A. Fet, N.A. Dobroljubov nd others. On the background of Christian traditions of interpretation the evangelic texts and philosophical religious disputes the laws of art dialogue of the XIX century poets with religious tradition are established. The nature of author’s transpositions of the evangelical primary source is comprehended from the viewpoint of religious – aesthetic self-determination of Russian writers.
