| 1656 | The concept ‘Arrogance’ has a complex nature represented by script and image forms. In this article, I analyze the script component of the concept in the Russian language. I analyze the main components of the mental script of arrogant person’s behavior and attitude on the material taken from the National Corpus of the Russian Language. These elements include the agent, causes, action, aim, estimation and emotional components. I use corpus-based linguistics methods and model-based inquiry in my research. The agent is a person. The causes of arrogant attitude and behavior belong to two groups: a wish to oppose oneself to other people and a wish to isolate oneself from them. The more specific reasons for such opposition are ancestry, age, power, place of residence, nationality, wealth, position, knowledge and experience, membership in closed societies, spiritual development, and success. The reason of self-isolation from other people is a fear of possible psychological trauma, which people can cause. Verbs describing arrogant attitude or behavior can either have ‘arrogance’ component in their lexical meaning or be neutral. They characterize manner of speech, gestures, body language and arrogant person’s manner of looking at people. The aim of arrogant behavior is either opposing oneself to other people or selfisolation. The object of arrogant attitude is surrounding people. Estimation and emotional components are contradictory and depend on whether people understand the reason of arrogant attitude or behavior or not. Thus, the script of arrogant attitude and behavior has a double nature depending on the type of cause and aim, but the actions are the same in both cases. A person influences other people with the help of body language and manner of speech. People have a negative reaction to such behavior unless they understand the arrogant person’s fear of possible psychological trauma; in this case, the reaction can be sympathy or pity. Keywords: concept, linguistic world view, mental script, agent, cause, object, aim, estimation component, emotional component | 2094 | |||||
| 1657 | Introduction. The article describes the aspects of the metaphorical interpretation of the concept stone, presented in Russian linguistic culture and the system of figurative means of the Russian language. The relevance of the research is due to the scientific interest in the study of the metaphorical functioning of concepts and their figurative language representation in the perspective of the anthropocentric paradigm of linguistics. The aim of the work is to describe the metaphorization of various qualities and properties of a stone for the figurative description of objects of the surrounding reality and the inner world of a person, expressed in the semantics of language units and speech statements. Material and methods. The methodology of the work is based on cognitive, linguistic, cultural and system-structural approaches to the study of the figurative language and speech. The methods of structural-semantic, conceptual and contextual analysis, as well as field modeling and cultural linguistic commentary are used. Empirical material is represented by figurative words and expressions (about 200 units), as well as contexts that demonstrate their metaphorical functioning (about 850 contexts). The sources were the published explanatory and phraseological dictionaries of the modern Russian language and the text base of the National Corps of the Russian language. Results and discussion. As a result, the qualities and properties of the concept being studied were described, which served as the basis for metaphorical projections on figuratively named objects and situations; the lexical and phraseological field of the Russian language is characterized, represented by words and expressions, metaphorically motivated names with the semantics ‘stone’; cognitive models are revealed for which the Stone conceptual sphere is the initial one and serves as a source of the metaphorical characteristics of the phenomena of other conceptual target spheres. The concept of stone in its metaphorical functioning actualizes the following basic features: hardness, strength, heaviness, immobility, color. These qualities of a stone are metaphorically projected onto the properties of various material and non-material objects: objects (hard, lost softness), the human body (heavy, immovable), psychological states of a person (grief, anxiety, depression, torpor), moral qualities (indifference, willpower, responsiveness), mental and social activities (meaningful content, the beginning of activities). Conclusion. The obtained results demonstrate cognitively and axiologically significant fragment of the Russian language world view. The corpus research data testify active metaphoric functioning of the Stone concept in modern discursive practices. | 1662 | The relevance of studying the problem of the oil factor in the policy of the Soviet state is due to the exceptional value of oil strategy of the state during the Soviet period. The study of this phenomenon is presented by the fragmented historical periods, that does not allow to see the continuity of the state policy in relation to oil, the similarity was performed with the help of state tasks. The purpose of this study is to analyze the priorities of the state approaches to oil and its changing role in the implementation, the state solved problems. Among the objectives set by the author is identification of the main factors influencing the strategic approaches to oil. The author comes to the conclusion that the oil factor in the policy of the Soviet state held an especially significant place, the oil was mainly the export of energy resource and the means to achieve geopolitical goals. The main provisions of the state policy, formulated in terms of electrification with respect to oil, remained virtually unchanged during the entire Soviet period. The evidence of this is the prevalence of export of oil products before 1958, and crude oil since 1958. There was also noted the period of reducing the proportion of oilexport in the total exports of the USSR: the decline was seen in the period from 1929 to 1934, and continued until the end of the reign of I. V. Stalin. The highest value of oil exports in the state strategy was in the 1920s. and since the end of the 1950s. In the second half of the XX century oil was in the center of economic competition between the two political systems. Throughout the Soviet period, oil is an important tool for solving problems of strategic importance both within the country and outside it. Changes in approaches to the problems of oil were determined mostly by the foreign policy factors. Keywords: politics, state, petroleum products, oil, extraction, oil export | 2093 | |||||

| 1688 | Introduction. The history of general and pedagogical education in Russia always attracts the interest of researchers, and this is connected with the modern processes of reform of the domestic educational system, they should be supported by historical experience. The purpose of this article is to reconstruct and generalize the experience of the State Duma of the Russian Empire in reforming pedagogical education. Material and methods. The material of the research is historical sources of various origins whose use makes it possible to form an objective view of the development of education in Russia and to re-evaluate the risks and genetic problems in the solution of modern problems of educational reform. General scientific and special historical methods of research are used. Results and discussion. With the establishment of the State Duma in Russian society, there were hopes for positive changes in the development of science and education. The State Duma of the first two convocations began a debate on education: The State Duma of the third convocation has done a great deal, and contemporaries praised its results in this area. Education was the subject of heated debate among deputies of different political factions. All deputies advocated the development of school business, the opening of teachers’ seminaries, institutes, courses, the raising of the status and salary of teachers, but disagreed on the forms and methods of achieving the goal. During the existence of the III Duma, several important normative documents concerning the development of pedagogical education have been adopted. Draft Regulations on Women’s Teachers’ Seminars, discussed over six months, were approved by both Houses of Parliament and approved on 1 July 1908. The Draft Regulations on Women’s Teachers’ Seminars were approved by both Houses of Parliament. As a temporary option for solving the personnel problems of primary schools until the opening of the required number of teacher training institutes and seminaries, on June 6, 1909, a decision was made and highly approved to open two-year pedagogical courses at city schools. One month later, on 10 July, a proposal for temporary teacher training courses for secondary school teachers was accepted. The next step in solving the personnel problem of secondary school was the draft law on “Rules on testing of female persons in knowledge of the course of higher educational establishments and on their acquisition of scientific degrees and titles of female teachers of gymnasiums” which was discussed by the Duma in January 1911 and approved on 25 February. Successfully passed in the Duma and the legislative act on “the establishment of one-year and short-term courses for the preparation of teachers and female teachers of secondary educational institutions”, which on March 29, 1911 was considered and already adopted on July 3. A special place among the projects developed by the commission on public education was occupied by proposals for the transformation of teachers ‘seminaries and teachers’ institutes, which should have had a positive effect on the cultural development of the country, but the bill was discussed for a long time, first in the Third Duma, then in the Fourth Duma, but did not find support. Work in the Fourth Duma on the reform of teacher education institutions was interrupted by the outbreak of world war. Conclusion. Thus, the desire of broad sectors of Russian society and, above all, of the educational community for effective educational activities was reflected in the work of the deputies of the State Duma at the beginning of the last century. The first two Dumas proved to be opposed to the Government and demonstrated the mutual inhospitability of society and the authorities to make concessions, which delayed decision-making even on such obvious issues as the fight against illiteracy. The results of the activities of the Third Duma were the most productive, however, due to the large number of discussions on private issues, the deputies did not have time to complete work on many important bills in the field of education. In the fourth Duma, even the draft laws that had already been drafted were first reviewed and, with the outbreak of the world war, forgotten or rejected, among the latter being the bills to reform the educational system. During the Soviet period, the basic provisions of the draft laws on teacher’s institutes and seminaries were reintroduced, but they were interpreted in the light of the principles of a unified labour school and the education of teachers of the new formation. | 1689 | Introduction. Modern study of terminologies and term systems are carried out in the aspect of cognitive terminology. Research devoted to the study of the term semantics in the context of cognitive terminology is gaining popularity. The aim of the work is to create frame models of the term semantics of the subject area “Construction Technologies”, to identify the main cognitive categories and subcategories represented by these models and characteristic of construction terminology, as well as the means of their expression. Material and methods. The material for the study is the terms of the sphere of construction technologies, selected from the terminological dictionaries on construction, regulatory documents, educational and scientific literature, as well as catalogues of construction products and professional websites for construction engineers. The research methodology is based on the method of linguistic modeling, frame analysis was used to study the term semantics. The techniques of definitional and component analysis are also used. Results and discussion. The frame modeling of the term semantics of the professional field “Construction technologies” was performed on the basis of the word-formation structure of the derived term. As a result of the analysis of frame models, correlated with the word-forming types, the following cognitive categories in the terminology of the sphere of construction technologies are defined: “process”, “attribute”, “ability / characteristic”, “action”, “object”. The article provides a detailed analysis of the semantics of Russian terms that actualize the cognitive categories “process” and “feature”. Frame models of term semantics are proposed; the frame consists of slots, which are components of the meaning of the term and are represented by various morphemes. The categorical slot is of particular importance as it correlates with the part-of-speech belonging of the term. The following subcategories specify the semantics of the identified cognitive categories: “technology of manufacturing / application of building materials”, “stage of the technological process”, “special construction works / results of these works”, “construction defect”, etc. These subcategories are defined by the specifics of the terminology of the field of construction technologies. Conclusion. As a result of frame modeling the semantics of the terms of the sphere “Construction technologies” and the analysis of the cognitive categories “process” and “attribute”, within each of them, subcategories specific to construction terminology were identified. It was revealed that the most productive way of word formation in the analyzed terminology is suffixation and prefixation. The proposed frame models of terms reflect fragments of scientific knowledge verbalized by special nominations, and frame analysis is an effective method for studying the ways of categorizing scientific information. On the one hand, the main semantic features of the Ket category of distribution in time are considered, on the other hand the attention is paid to the means of the description of these features.
