Kurbanov I.A., Noskova S.G. SOCIAL MODEL IN LANGUAGE REPRESENTATIONS OF A PERSON WITH DISABILITY IN RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN MASS MEDIA DISCOURSE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 25-31

There isn’t an aspect of social policy or experience that isn’t deeply caught up in disability issues. Disability is one of the great issues, like race, class and gender. Attitudes, beliefs, and misconceptions of society constitute a major barrier for people with disabilities. Attitude change can follow on heightened awareness, increased contact, and increased meaningful communication between disabled and non-disabled people. Although personal interaction is the most effective medium for conveying the personal experience of disability, the mass media can be an effective vehicle for bringing about greater understanding, and a consequent gradual change in public perceptions of people with disabilities. Language reflects the world around us and also constitutes the ways we understand and experience it. One aspect of the study on disability involves examining the words we use and the ways in which language represents persons and beliefs about them. The language used to talk about disability and disabled persons has changed over time. History, theory, advocacy, politics, and culture influence how disability is expressed and represented. The emergence of new paradigms of disability, the disability rights movement and disability studies, and other changes in culture bring attention to the ways that we talk about and depict disability. Examining varied perspectives on disability reveals considerable variation in language related to disability and how it is regarded. The article is devoted to the cognitive and discursive, contextual analysis of the disability terms based on the Internet articles of the Russian and American magazines, journals and newspapers: AiF, Rossiyskaya gazeta, Moskovskiy Komsomolets, lenta.ru; New York Times, National Geographic, Time, People, Scientific American, Fortune.

Drozhashchikh N.V. COGNITIVE PARAMETERS OF LITERARY MODEL OF CREATIVE TEXTS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 10 (187). P. 88-95

The author deals with the cognitive basis of the creative processes which underlie the text formation. The subject matter of the study is the creativity of the literary text. While defining the cognitive parameters which contribute to the formation of the creative nature of the literary text, the author grounds the hypothesis about the creative text as the artful deviation from the automatized conventionality on the structural, communicative, conceptual, and semiotic levels of the literary text. The results of the study demonstrate the multilayered organization of the creative text which is formed by the cognitive processes. Among the processes are the associative connections of the chunks of knowledge, their analogical mapping, ambiguity of meaning, conceptual integration and foregrounding. These processes are viewed as the key processes in the cognitive model of the literary text which form structural, semantic and symbolic transformations that refer to the existing literary archetypes. The text is considered to be creative if the author purposefully foregrounds the semiotic level of the text and transforms it. The semiotic transformation entails the transformation of the elements of the other levels of the text. The usage of the highly frequent lexemes and structural repetitions contribute to the formation of the novel processes of the aesthetics of suspense.

Kanno S. A unified view of RS braneworlds // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2004. Issue 7 (44). P. 15-24

There are various different descriptions of Randall-Sundrum (RS) braneworlds. Here we present a unified view of the braneworld based on the gradient expansion approach. In the case of the single-brane model, we reveal the relation between the geometrical and the AdS/CFT approach. It turns out that the high energy and the Weyl term corrections found in the geometrical approach merge into the CFT matter correction found in the AdS/CFT approach. We also clarify the role of the radionin the two-brane system. It is shown that the radion transforms the Einstein theory with Weyl correction into the conformalty coupled scalar-tensor theory where the radion plays the role of the scalar field.

The paper describes a conception of “standard model” for methane emission from the mires of West Siberia. The “standard model” is a complex of (i) methane flux probability densities distributions for typical ecosystems of all natural zones, (ii) period of CH4 emission for all zones, and (iii) fraction of wetland area for all zones. We present experimental data (methane fluxes in forest-tundra) which are the components of “standard model” Aa1. The medians of methane fluxes from palsе, oligotrophic hollows, peat mats and poor fens are 0,14, 1,12, 11,86 and 1,28 mgC•m-2•h-1 accordingly. All abovementioned values relate only to “period of methane emission” which is 120 days in forest tundra.

Skripka L.P., Samolyuk N.G. SOCIAL ADAPTATION OF CHILDREN BY MEANS OF TOURISM AND REGIONAL STUDIES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 1 (178). P. 37-41

The establishment of an information society led to the massive use of modern gadgets and led to the fact that children have difficulty in direct communication, adaptation, especially in an unfamiliar environment, as well as contributes to the deterioration of children’s health, due to sedentary lifestyles. The leading role in the process of formation of the valuable relation to the world, to himself and to other people belongs to a secondary school. In the modern educational space to solve these problems optimally is possible not separately within the institution, but in the form of networking. Stakeholders create social and educational environment for a more successful social adaptation of the individual student. One of the effective means that children get from tourism and regional studies is the socialization and preservation of health. The authors present the mechanism of leading educational institutions’ networking: Municipal autonomous educational institution of secondary school number 28 in Tomsk and municipal budgetary educational institution of additional education of childhood and youth house “Our harbor” Tomsk. As part of the networking was created an innovative platform of municipal tourist and regional studies, which is being implemented under the conditions of socio-pedagogical project “Formation of socially-adapted person taught with the help of the tourist and local lore activity in conditions of an integrated socio-educational developing environment of general and supplementary education”. Stepanov E.S. DEONYMIC DERIVATION FROM PRECEDENT NAMES IN GERMAN // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 80-84

The present article dwells on the possibilities of the extension of the precedent phenomena vocabulary by means of the use of word formation resources. The article presents four ways of word formation on the base of precedent names: deonymic stem composition, deonymic conversion, deonymic overlapping and deonymic derivation. A particular attention is paid to the phenomenon of deonymic derivation – a way of formation of the appellatives on the base of precedent names by means of affixation. The result of deonymic derivation is a formation of new lexical items, which possess the precedent status. Among them several word classes can be distinguished specifically nouns, adjectives and verbs. Each of these classes retains the set of qualities and peculiarities rooted in precedent names. Typical suffixes used in the formation of new nouns are e.g. (er)ei, isierung and ung. In the sphere of adjectives following suffixes can be used: ig, isch, weise. New verbs can be formed with the suffixes en, eln, (is)ieren and so on. Deonymic derivation is a very creative word formation method. The new precedent deonymic constructs are as a rule resources of the expressive language and therefore they are often used in media discourse and in the speech of politicians. They keep the shades of meaning and semes rooted in the original precedent names and subsequently form a new group of precedent phenomena.

Shutova A.V. ON THE LEXICAL STRUCTURE INDIVIDUALITY OF POETIC TEXT BY O. E. MANDELSTAM IN HIS ART WORK DYNAMICS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 6 (195). P. 39-43

The article deals with the concept “Lexical structure of a text” as one of the major notions in functional lexicology and communicative stylistics. In connection with the fact that the basic element of any piece of art is a word, the fundamental element in research of creation of a specific author is identification of peculiarities of the lexical structure of his poetic texts. The analysis made by the author of the article makes it possible to compare the features of the lexical structure of the texts with different creative periods of the author and to identify a certain dynamics. In order to carry out the analysis of the lexical structures of O. E. Mandelstam’s poetic texts based on the periodization of the poet’s work offered by M. L. Gasparov, three most typical, written at different times poems were chosen: relating to the period of early creation “More tender than tender”/ ”Nezhneye nezhnogo” (1909), to the period “Tristia” “The light Moscow rain”/ ”Moskovskiy dozhdik” (1922), to the period of the thirties of the twentieth century “We live with no sense of the country”/” My zhivem, pod soboyu ne chuya strany” (1933). The research found that the lexical structure of poetic texts by O. E. Mandelstam is notable for its wealth and diversity. The poetic texts chosen for the research made it possible to identify various types of their lexical structuring (Depending on the central main point of associative-semantic macro network of the work; depending on the dominance of one of the three types of sense relationship in the framework of lexical microstructures: addition, intensification and contrast; depending on the degree of explicitness / implicitness of dominant lexical microstructure). It is established that the prevalence of defined type of lexical structure in poetic texts by the author correlates with different periods of work of the poet in accordance with evolution of his poetic and linguistic worldview.
