The article regards some problems connected with transforming foreign language educational needs into personal values through educational needs and contents of technology of foreign language learning. The needs and contents of technology achieve their educational goals with application of two factors: perfecting the moral qualities of the learners and selecting the appropriate contents of didactic stuff which serves as a basis for the learning process organization. Our new author’s pedagogical technology involves the worked out structure, the accentuations and the algorithms. The article discusses a topical problem of child abuse in the family. The author identifies two approaches to the definition of the concept on the basis of theoretical analysis. A representative of the first approach uses external evaluation criteria of child abuse. This concept can be identified with some forms of violence and cruelty. A representative of the second approach uses criteria reflecting the intrinsic characteristics of the phenomenon. They concretize the psychological content of the concept. The author uses a value approach to the definition of child abuse in the family. The author defines child abuse in the family as a violation (reduction) of the parent of the valuable relation to the child as an individual.

The result of the modern civil-patriotic education from the point of view of public documents is the civil identity. The article considers the theses in the titles of which the concept “civil identity” occcurs. The purpose of the work is the identification of degree of study of civil identity in the humanities during the period from 1991 to 2016. The discursive method and the method of content analysis as a result of application of which the author made an attempt to develop a technique of the discursive analysis of dissertation researches of civil identity belong to the used methods. The result of the developed technique is the creation of periodization of the development of the concept “civil identity”. The received results can be applied in pedagogical and other researches where application of the discursive method is justified. The author of the article came to the following conclusions: in development of the concept “civil identity” during the period from 1991 to 2016 it is possible to allocate three stages. The first period of 1991–2000 is a stage of the reflection of public consciousness, scientific community concerning the processes happening in society, connected with its crisis, reorganization of consciousness, values, etc. The second period of 2000–2010 is a stage of historical and sociopolitological studying of a concept, understanding of a problem of civil identity of the Russians in the Russian reality; there is a studying of civil identity from the point of view of its crisis in society. The third period of 2010–2016 is a stage for which psychology and pedagogical and philosophical judgment of a concept of civil identity, studying from the point of view of the importance of civil identity is characteristic of the personality, of its self-implementation, and also methods of its forming in different social groups. Civil identity is studied from the point of view of such sciences as sociology, philosophy, political science, pedagogics, history, psychology, to a lesser extent of the last two. Due to the lack of the research system, almost all of them have fragmentary character and are devoted to private questions.

In accordance with strictly outlined requirements of the modern national economy, the educational system must prepare a graduate capable of future continuous self-improvement. The greatest difficulties are encountered precisely when overcoming contradictions between technology (techniques) training at various levels of the current educational system. Modernity acknowledges some threshold contact of University and educational institutions, preparing future entrants. In these circumstances, there are special requirements for preparation of future teachers of technology. Identifying the market path to combat hidden content, they implement comprehensive learning objectives. The preparation of a competitive specialist in Russia includes the professional competence of teachers, which is associated with the changing priorities of the learning process of the components of knowledge and methods of reproductive education, characteristic of an authoritarian educational model, a personaloriented, developing, cognitive-focal focus based on the principles of humanization and democratization. Such approach allows to introduce the elements of individual training, successfully building the routes for student-centered learning. Further improvement of the educational process involves qualitative development of practice-oriented aspects of the pedagogical technologies.

The relevance of this study is due to the socio-cultural aspects associated with the development of visual communications in modern urban space. The visual landscape of the city assumes an abundance of advertising information in various spheres of human activity. This leads to an increase in the requirements for people of different specialties in the field of visual communication skills. The problem is a contradiction: on the one hand, the visual level of the urban environment is constantly growing, on the other hand the approaches to education in this direction are not so wide and do not meet the requirements of the time. At the moment, there are many technologies for solving creative problems in the visual arts and design - this is a whole spectrum of researchers who pay attention to the issues of a full-fledged educational cycle, but the problem is to correctly choose and integrate them into the accelerated educational process (refresher courses). In this regard, the issue of creating a methodology for teaching the composition and working with it within the framework of the advanced training courses “Graphic Design. A basic level”. The goal was to create the most concise and effective way of learning to work with the mounting composition and the principles of working with a stain within the framework of this composition. Attention is paid to the processing of visual images in a virtual environment, through the Adobe Photoshop CC raster graphics editor, to achieve the maximum speed for processing visual data. Approaches to creating an assembly composition with pre-prepared image libraries are described. The article will be useful to teachers of creative specialties, designers, artists, researchers in the field of visual culture.

The interest to Gogol’s literature heritage in the literature era of the XX–XXI centuries has been noted by many researchers. Literature scholars are actively introducing into scientific circulation the works of modern authors. They allow to raise the question of the place and role of Gogol’s heritage in the aesthetic search of the literature process of the turn of the XX–XXI centuries. The aim of the study is to analyze the functioning principles of the novel “The overcoat” and its system-forming image of a small man in the works of writers of the turn of the XX–XXI centuries. The novelty of the study lies, firstly, in the comprehension of the material that has not been previously analyzed, and secondly, in the reconstruction of the types, methods and function of the reception of the “overcoat text” in the literary era of the XX–XXI centuries. The works of modern authors were used as material: the chapter “Little Man Tetelin” from V. Makanin’s novel “The Underground or the Hero of Our Time” (1998). Makanin’s novel “The Underground, or the Hero of Our Time” (1998), stories by V. Petsukh “To Nikolai Vasilievich. Demonstration of Possibilities” from the collection “Plagiarism” (2001) and O. Slavnikova’s “CHANEL No. 5” (2009). The selected works belong to different aesthetic and genre forms and the point of convergence between them is their dialogical reinterpretation of the stylistic system of the novel “The Overcoat”, built on the combination of two modes of narration – “mimicry of grief” and “mimicry of laughter” (B. Eichenbaum). It is proved that the stylistic organization of the narrative principles of the novel “The overcoat” has a modeling effect on the works. All three selected authors use direct quotation allusion to the text of Gogol’s novel. The “overcoat plot” is projected by V. Makanin and V. Petsukh to comprehend the fate of the Soviet intelligentsia in the post-soviet realities. The writers record and comprehend the spiritual degradation aand grinding f the Soviet intellectual as a social and anthropological type. O. Slavnikova’s principles of transformation of the “overcoat plot” are connected with the reflection on the ontological value and self-sufficiency of the individual, which are lost in the situation of blurring the boundaries between the material and the ideal, man and thing. The human deformation discovered and explored by Slavnikova is thought of as an unmotivated fundamental property of the world. All three authors are characterized by the actualization of Gogol’s laughter, where the comic and the tragic coexist.

The article presents the analysis of the functional development of the Russian language anglicisms present in the texts of out-of-home advertising. For this purpose the meaning of the concept out-of-home advertising is revealed, the reasons of anglicisms loans and their theme groups in advertising are determined. The six-year experience of cooperation between university and secondary school is uconsidered. The technique of reflexive reconstruction of interaction of participants of the network educational project is used: students, teachers of historical and philological faculty of Tomsk State Pedagogical University, teachers studying in Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution Secondary School no. 14 named after A. F. Lebedev, Tomsk. A plot of the reconstruction is based on the idea of the complexity of the project actions. We are talking about the movement from the normative and executive position of the design participants to the semantic one. It is shown that the first position is related to the implementation in practice of interaction of the state order in the field of integrative (inclusive) education. Within the framework of the second position, the participants implement their own initiatives, design, form an educational reality, the content and forms of which correspond to the challenges of the time. Pedagogical activity is carried out on the basis of personal resource of subjects of cooperation. The design of such a plot of the development of joint activities is considered as a manifestation of a special model of interaction between the University and the secondary school, which the authors, after G. N. Prozumentova, called joint production. The described educational precedents, empirical phenomena typical for this model allow us to see its presence in such forms as a master class, a project conference “Our Mental Values”, a joint educational project “Debates”, an international scientific and practical conference “Science and Education”. The content of this model is also shown by the creation of texts of different types by the participants of interaction: projects, articles, methodological developments, final qualifying works (diplomas, master’s theses). The experience of interaction between the University and the school presented in the article can be regarded as a precedent of educational design – the sphere of activity in which the manifestation, development, formation of the subjectivity of its participants in the context of innovative practice. Innovation is manifested in the phenomenon of personal presence of participants of network interaction (in this case-the authors of the article) in the creation of educational reality. The content of activities in the project can be considered as a variant of pedagogical technologization of the requirements of the new Federal State Educational Standards of the university and secondary school.

Sargsyan M.A. METAFICTIONAL PATTERNS IN E. CHIZHOV’S NOVEL TRANSLATION FROM A METAFRAZE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 6 (203). P. 71-76

Introduction. This study is an attempt to investigate and analyze the main subjects and patterns of E. Chizhov’s novel Translation from a Metafraze. E. Chizhov created the exotic eastern country of Koshtyrbastan, a fascinating story imperceptibly absorbing the reader, attracting with an interesting narration, succinct descriptions of events and characters. The image of the poet – the prophet, the theme of translation and the image of the translator create the plot outline of the novel. The literary-centric meanings of the Translation from a Metafraze, however, are not limited to questions about the role of the poet and poetry, the relationship between poetry and power. The aim of the paper. The article analyzes one of the tendencies in modern literary process – metafiction on the side. Self-conscious prose, focusing on literary work, the figure of the author and hero, raises questions of literature and art. The metafiction phenomenon (the ratio of the author and the text, the author and the reader, the reader and the text) and its various manifestations, through metadescription, expand the text and focus on the role of the book, reading, and writer in society, becoming a mirror reflecting the current literary process. Material and methods. In the course of the work, we draw the conclusions on the complexity of the aesthetic concept of the novel and its connection with other texts of Russian literature. The analysis of plot-forming motifs reveals their commonality with T. Tolstoy’s novel Kys. Results and discussion. The article finds that the nature of the connection between these two works consists not only in the motive-thematic interchange, but also is expressed in a rather obvious connection at the constructive-figurative level, within the framework of the problematics of logocentrism and literature-centrism as well. T. Tolstaya and E. Chizhov in their novels in different years and in different ways raise the question of the role of books and reading in a person’s life and society. Conclusion. Finally, the paper unveils the complex metafictional construction of the novel, which includes references to real literary events, the interchange with other novels, and poems – ciphers, supplementing the text in prose.

Myachin K.A. CONCEPTS “ETHICS”, “MEMORY” AND “POWER” IN CROSS-GENRE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS (BASED ON THE WORKS OF VIET THANH NGUYEN “NOTHING EVER DIES” AND “THE SYMPATHIZER”). Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 9 (206). P. 54-63

Introduction. In this article we attempted to analyze the textual material of two multi-genre works written by one author. Our attention was drawn to the mechanisms of actualization of meaning at the level of words, phrases and sentences. In the course of our analysis, we also identified concepts that are significant for the author and described the role of concept-regulators in the formation of meaning represented in fiction and publicistic texts. Purpose of the study. Our purpose is to analyze the textual material of two multi-genre works of literature and prove that certain set of relevant meanings, represented by the concepts “ethics”, “memory” and “power” within the text of a publicistic work, will also be present in the conceptual-semantic content of the work of fiction by the same author. Material and methods. We have used the following methods: conceptual and structural analysis of the text, stylistic analysis of the text, associative-semantic interpretation of the text in the context of communicative and anthropocentric paradigms; morphological, lexical and syntactic analysis of the text with allocation of its separate levels represented by a word and an utterance. Works of Viet Thanh Nguyen “The Sympathizer” and “Nothing Ever Dies” with a total volume of 727 pages is the material of the research. Results and discussion. The study confirmed the suppositional hypothesis. The semantic dominant “memory” inside the semantic field “love – life – war – memory – sensation”, which we discovered earlier in the analysis of the “The Sympathizer”, remains analogous in the publicistic work “Nothing Ever Dies”. The analysis of the work “Nothing Ever Dies” confirmed the remaining actuality of the dominant concept “memory”, the significant concept “power” and also allowed us to highlight and describe the properties of the concept-regulators “ethics” and “dual”. Conclusion. The stylistic, syntactic, conceptual and structural analysis of the two texts allowed us to single out previously unnoticed functional concepts-regulators “ethics” and “dual” implemented in speech in conjunction with other concepts that demonstrate greater substantiality, but less functionality, such as “memory” and “power”. The duality of the concept “memory” is not an internal attribute of this concept, but arises under the influence of the concept-regulatory “dual”. The same is true for other substantial concepts, such as, for example, “power”.

Introduction. Communication skills are recognized as one of the most important elements in the education of a modern engineer. Engineering education programs should include modules aimed at developing interdisciplinary and cross-cultural communication skills. The specificity of professional engineering communication is determined by the professional competencies of a new generation technical university graduate. Aim and objectives are to describe and analyze the methodology of forming the communicative competencies in the field of professional activity for master students with engineering training. Material and methods. Theoretical methods of comparative analysis, synthesis and generalization of research by foreign and domestic authors are used. The experience of Western countries about the program accreditation in the field of engineering and technology is considered. Results and discussion. The paper analyzes and suggests the conceptual ideas of engineering education implemented by the method of integrated project training, which contribute to the improvement of specialist professional training. The structural and functional model of the module “Current issues in biomedical engineering” is implemented in the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, Institute of Physics and Technology for the educational master program 12.04.04 Biotechnical systems and technologies. The program allows one to ensure a gradual development of communicative competence of master students during the study of special professional disciplines. The model represents the unity of the goal, content, organizational and evaluation blocks and reflects the organizational and methodological tools of the pedagogical process, as well as the pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of the model. The practical implementation of the model is described with the indication of disciplines and communication skills. Conclusion. The study revealed the importance of improving the quality of training engineering and technical personnel in terms of forming communicative competence as a component of general cultural competence. These knowledge, skills and abilities affect the motivational-value, cognitive-activity, emotional-volitional and reflexiveevaluative components of the business professional communicative competence of future engineers, provide readiness for professional activity and allow forming engineering thinking of a new formation. Such innovations in the education system are an integral part of the implementing the task for Russian technical universities to become world-class educational organizations.

Introduction. The article deals with the issue of the cultural communication between representatives of different generations. The precedent texts associated with the common knowledge of people belonging to a single culture are studied in line with the structure of a linguistic personality. Precedent phenomena of various types are an important part of an intertextual thesaurus. In the process of communication, the cultural allusions of communicants play a great role, as well as the application of their cultural backgrounds that include components of the intertextual thesaurus. Aim and objectives. The purpose of the article is to analyze the area of the Russian linguistic personality thesaurus that contains the catchphrases by Bulat Okudzhava – a prominent 20th century Russian author. Material and methods. Being constantly played out in the 1970–1980s, Bulat Okudzhava’s songs were shaping the cultural values of the generation. Many phrases from the songs got a folklore status, which is witnessed both by the dictionaries and by the Russian National Corpus. In order to study the dynamics characterizing the differences in the cultural memory of generations of fathers and sons an experiment has been carried out based on the 10 popular catchphrases from Okudzhava’s verse. These phrases underlie the survey covering an audience of approximately 1,000 people. Those surveyed had to determine the authorship of the phrases and to continue some of them. Results and discussion. The analysis showed that in most cases there are no links in the mind of respondents between the name of Bulat Okudzhava and even the most widespread phrases from his songs. The authorship was often attributed to fully unexpected names, which shows serious gaps in the cultural memory of the young. However, it was proven that Okudzhava’s catchphrases definitely exist in the intertextual thesaurus of the linguistic personality, which is surely determined by the interaction of verbal and multimedia information. Conclusion. The analysis of the dictionary entries and the corpus data proves the precedent status of many of the Okudzhava’s phrases. Nevertheless, the results of the mass survey reflect a significant change in the intertextual thesaurus of the young.

The article raises a problem concerning young people’s low employment caused by insufficient career guidance and professional self-determination for individual career building, it concerns in particular young people getting professional education. In connection with it, what seems necessary is implementing mechanisms of assisting professional selfdetermination, career building and employment that are currently important for modern young people. The aim of the article is designing, applying and analyzing the results of an additional general developmental program in career building and preparation for going to the employment market of students who have difficulties in professional self-determination and have an unclear idea of their career trajectory. Theoretical analysis of the terms “youth” and “young students”; questioning Tomsk State Pedagogical University senior students (years of 2020–2022), singling out the target group, i.e. those students who have difficulties, designing and applying the program. There presented the main content idea and specific peculiarities of the general enriching program for additional education “Basics of effective employment in education”. Implementing the comparative analysis of initial and final questionnaires of students with difficulties (participants of the program), we’ve traced positive dynamics in the parameters “plan employment in education” and “identify themselves with professional pedagogical activities”. The results of monitoring employment of the program participants show that on average 67 % of the participants have got employed due to the completed pedagogical education. It has revealed that applying the additional general enriching program “Basics of effective employment in education” causes students’ motivation towards building their professional pedagogical career, has a positive impact on the formation of professional pedagogical identity and can be used as a mechanism of assisting students’ professional self-determination and employment in the regional educational system.

Stepanova M.M. TANDEM METHOD IN MASTER COURSES OF A MULTIDISCIPLINARY UNIVERSITY. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 12 (165). P. 115-119

The article discusses prospects of using the method of tandem leaning in Master courses of a multidisciplinary university. The conventional concept of tandem learning is broadened and it does not necessary apply to leaning foreign languages by means of intercommunication between two speakers of different languages. The author argues that in a multidisciplinary university a tandem can include Master students of various specializations. The article provides a reflection on a tandem learning experience when organizing Master of Linguistics students’ internship. In one case the second party of the tandem was Master of Engineering students, while in another case the second party of a tandem was students of an additional qualification program “Translator in the sphere of professional communication”. The two-year successful experience has proved the efficiency of using the method of tandem learning in a multidisciplinary university.

The article discusses the capabilities of the technology “Debate” in the formation of professional competencies of future teachers, substantiates and elaborates the scheme of inclusion of debates in the educational process. Implementation of the proposed scheme is shown by the example of the debate on the topic “The Study of Informatics in primary school: for and against”. At the final stage, the survey was conducted, which allowed to determine the attitude of students to technology “Debates”, the willingness of students to participate in such events and apply this technology in their professional activities. The use of debates allows to prepare a specialist who is able to work with different types of information, navigate the information space, justify his point of view. The above mentioned qualities should be common to modern teachers.

The article deals with the problem of teaching technical students to professional foreign vocabulary in relation to the joining “Initiative CDIO” which is an innovative educational framework for producing the next generation of engineers and the demand for specialists with the knowledge of a foreign language at work. It defines the difficulties of getting a lexical skill in speaking and problem solving activities. The article discloses psychological basics of learning a word as a complicated mechanism, which includes both visual-hearing-motional structure and semantics. It describes the approaches to teaching professional foreign vocabulary existing today. As a result, it suggests implementing exercises based on a list of words, which proves their effectiveness; it demonstrates the examples by giving a list of words (short phrases) on a particular professional topic and different tasks to motivate and encourage students to learn, practice and use the vocabulary in speaking. Communicative approach in teaching foreign languages presupposes the use of sets of instructions, situational correlation, communicativity, functionality while organizing these exercises. Creation of comfortable educational environment contributes to students’ motivation in the process of professional lexical skill formation and development. It is important to take into consideration learners’ individual peculiarities, interests, likes and needs to achieve better results in teaching professional foreign vocabulary.
