Found out activating of enzymes of cycle of tricarboxylic acids (malate dehydrogenase), glycolysis and fermentation (alcohol dehydrogenase) and oxidizing pentose phosphate cycle (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) in leaves both after short-term and the protracted anaerobiosis. It was demonstrated, that adaptation to the root anaerobiosis connect with changes of activity of enzymes of different respiratory tracts and work of the antioxidant systems in photosynthetic leaves. Careful attitude to their archives (exceptions were rare) have done a lot for development of the archive work in Russia. The archives of the Zemstvo self-government, aware of the importance of their historical documents, became the basis for the development of the local Museum, the activity of local societies of the researchers of the region history. | 1628 | The article contains generalization of experiments’ results, which were based on methods of scalling and addition of suggestions; analysis of influence of public language personality’s voice and appearance in the the audio-visual form of the author’s media text spread; research of the results of informants’ modelling of author’s verbal portrait including indication of his age, social status, education, interests, peculiarities of appearance, character. Linguistic and extralinguistic factors affecting the interaction of the public language personality and the media environment have been identified. It was determined that media text’s name, its placement (informational plot) and idea are of the most important characteristics, that have an influence on media text’s effect on collective language personality of young people (the informants were the students of philological faculty at the age of 18-20 years old). It was found out that outward of public language personality and usage of figurative means and rhetorical devices during media discourse perception are the most significant characteristics for this category of informants. Audio-visual channel of media text spread considerably broadens spectrum of its influrnce on collective language personality according to the results of experiments. Special importance acquire voice characteristics of media text’s author (timbre, time, volume, intonation, pause, logical stress), which allow to perceive sense accents of an author, his emotions and assessments sufficiently. Outward of media text the author and his nonverbal behavior (gestures, mimicry, outfit) as special discursive factors are also significant for media text influence on collective language personality and modelling of different author’s peculiarities by addressee, that is of great importance for comprehension of author’s position verbalized in a text. In terms of influence of media text in the case of its written form of its distribution the key role belongs to a theme, which is dedicated to, and to author’s position, explicated verbally. The received results are of interest for the theory of speech influence, media linguistics, communicative stylistics of text. The ability to identify errors is of high priority for a future teacher of foreign languages. This will help students acquire and master necessary professional skills and will introduce the idea of language norm, as well as develop the ability to analyze and generalize information. Evaluating the quality of a written text can be done in an effective way by the knowledge of proofreading exercises. These exercises can really help students only if they are conducted in an organized manner and the students practice them consistently. The system of activities introduced in this article is designed for teaching students proofreading and includes four units. The Introduction acquaints students with the symbols, used for marking errors and provides first training. The Practice includes different in-class activities, such as peer evaluation, proofreading students’ own texts and games. In the Assessment part the author suggests the criteria for evaluating students’ proofreading skills. Some ideas for Creative Work are offered. The content of each unit is revealed in the article. Getting students to recognize problems in their writing is an important challenge which is best dealt with in class exercises. | 1630 | Introduction. This article is devoted to the problem of the formation of existential thought in the late works of Tolstoy. The object of the research is one of the most significant categories in the philosophy of existentialism – the category of fear. The research material is based on the novels The Kreutzer Sonata and The Devil; a comparative comparative method and a structural analysis method are used. The purpose of this study is to try to examine the writer’s appeal to the category of existential fear and to determine its functions in the late works of Tolstoy. This goal determined the following tasks: to determine the context for the formation of existential thought in the novels The Kreutzer Sonata and The Devil, to consider the category of existential fear in these works, and also to explain how using this category Tolstoy carries out a dialogue with the reader. The comparative method and the method of structural analysis were used in the work. Results and discussion. In the late period of creativity in the philosophical thought of Tolstoy there is an appeal to existential problematics. At the ideological level, the writer focuses on social conflicts and seeks the origins of social contradictions. In the conflict of relations between the sexes, the origins of the existential crisis of man and society as a whole. It is this period of the Russian classic that can be described as a period of artistic experiments. For example, in the late works of Tolstoy, the category of the reader is formed, and new content takes on new forms. It was during this period that the writer increasingly turned to small epic and dramatic genres. The relevance of the article is determined by the study of the existential problems of the late works of L. N. Tolstoy, separate aspects of the transformation of the creative method of the writer. The novelty lies in the fact that the category of existential fear is regarded as the key to the moral resurrection of the heroes of these stories. Conclusion. The preliminary conclusions are made that the existential category of fear is formed in connection with the social problems of the works, it becomes a way to overcome the moral death of the hero, and also acts as a link between the author and the reader. | 1645 | The active cooperation of countries in various spheres of life leads to a constant demand for the translation of normative documents, including international treaties regulating the procedure for interaction of the countries. An international agreement is a legal document and refers to the official business style, the features of which are accuracy, clarity, and lack of ambiguity. A characteristic feature of the style in English is the large number of modal verbs having several meanings that sometimes cannot be expressed by modal verbs in Russian. The translator faces the difficult task of choosing translation units suitable for adequate translation of the meaning of the modal verb. The aim of the study is to determine the ways of translating modal verbs from English into Russian in legal texts through identifying the factors by which the translator can determine the meaning of a modal verb in a specific context and correlating them with the adequate variants of translation into Russian. The research is based on an international treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia in the law enforcement sphere using such methods of linguistic analysis as descriptive, comparative, and quantitative. The most frequent modal verb in English treaties is shall; may is in second place; other modal verbs are found, but extremely rare. Modal verbs are translated into Russian by: a verb in the present tense; a verb “может”; a contracted form of an adjective “должен”; an adverb “необходимо”. When translating modal verbs into Russian, it is necessary to take into account many factors: the requirements of the functional style of speech; shades of the meanings of modal verbs and their function in the sentence; the context specifying the meaning of the modal verb; the norms of the translation language.
