| 2701 | Introduction. The article determines the potential of the sources involved in the study of the nominations of Russian folk clothing in the linguoculturological aspect. The dialect language is directly related to the cultural tradition of the Russian peasantry. Dialect linguoculturology reveals the ability of linguistic signs to represent the cultural identity of the people. The study of lexical units, nominations of objects of material culture, expands the scientific understanding of how the worldview attitudes of the Russian peasantry and their ideas about the world order are attached to the word. The nominations of Russian national clothing have always been the object of attention of various scientific areas. The relevance of the work lies in the search for reliable and adequate sources of research for linguoculturological works. The purpose of the work is to determine the potential of sources involved in the study of the nominations of Russian folk clothing in the linguoculturological aspect. Firstly, the research identifies the range of cultural characteristics assigned to the nominations of clothing in the dialects of the Middle Ob region, based on the data of the Tomsk dialect dictionaries and the Tomsk dialect corpus. Secondly, the article presents the actual cultural components of the meaning of the word, extracted from dictionaries and the base of the corpus: this is gender, seasonality, material of manufacture, features of wearing, etc. of traditional Russian clothing. It is the first time when the materials of the Tomsk dialect dictionaries and the Tomsk dialect corpus are considered from the point of view of their informativeness and reliability as sources of linguoculturological study of the nominations of material culture objects of the rural inhabitants of the Middle Ob. Material and methods. The research materials represent the dialects of the Middle Ob, recorded in the dictionaries of the Tomsk dialectological school and the database of the Tomsk dialect corpus. The main method of the research is continuous sampling. In addition, the authors used the methods of scientific description, contextual analysis, and linguoculturological commentary. Research and discussion. The analysis of the involved sources revealed their potential in terms of the possibilities of their use for linguoculturological research. The materials of the dictionaries and the Tomsk dialect corpus include the following groups: nominations for men’s, women’s, outerwear, underwear, headwear and footwear. The study showed that the cultural component of the lexeme is already manifested in the zone of interpretation. The illustrative material that accompanies the article clarifies and expands the cultural layer of the meaning of the word due to the actual functioning of the word in speech. The textual realization of the same word further expands the cultural representations attached to the word. Taken together, the data of these sources constitute a real picture of the existence of words denoting objects of material culture, even those that are outdated. The total number of studied nominations is 1 237; the studied lexemes realize in 5 279 text passages. Conclusion. The dialect lexicon contains an extensive layer of culturally specific units, nominations for items of clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc. Their linguocultural content is consistently traced in the works of the Tomsk dialectological school, both in the interpretation of meaning and in the illustrative part. The actual material demonstrating the functioning of the word in speech may contain information about the age of the carrier, his gender, status, financial condition. Lexical units denoting the color and material of clothing are also representative indicators. The materials of the Tomsk dialect corpus significantly expand the range of characteristics that make the nomination a cultural phenomenon. As a rule, the corpus materials make it possible to form an idea of the cultural realities indicated by the word. | 2711 | Two tasks of innovation management require its methodological solution. Those tasks are effective selection of asymptotical target and management of generation of unexampled innovations. Methodological strategies of solving these tasks can be put as dilemma. Constructive solution of this dilemma is based at “Semiotic Attractor” conception. The concept became a synthesis of the philosophy of process, results of methodological research related to information phenomenon as a process and results of fundamental research of non-linear dynamics and semiotics. The concept expresses conditions of organization of states meeting nature of managed system's attractors. This “Semiotic Attractor” is realized as an occasion – occasion of random selection and occasion of unexampled innovation's generation. Organization of conditions leading to occurrence of similar occasions is relevant to solution of innovations management tasks. During all the human history every society aimed at development of civic competences, knowledge among young generations. Nowadays these intensions (more about democratic citizenship) changed into increasing problem, demanding more attention, tightly connected with democratic processes. In different schools of Great Britain there is a program of introduction to the subjects connected with the development of civic competences. The fact of formalizing the subject in England reflects the growing concern among British young people’s attitudes to the civil society, their participation in the political life of the country, and is perceived as an important event in the history of education in the UK. However, the understanding of citizenship, education and cultural identity changes in accordance with the region, and that becomes the reason for different aims and approaches to civic education in Britain. The article presents the peculiarities in understanding of the terms “civic education” and “citizenship” in different countries of the UK. It is concluded that the understanding of these concepts affects the contents, the denomination and methods of teaching the subject of civic orientation in the school system. Aspects of civic education are firmly entrenched in government programs of primary, secondary and higher education, which constantly transform with the changes at different levels of the society. The UK has also these peculiarities and inside the Commonwealth approaches, the names and methods of civic education vary. The paper deals with the formation and structure of system of railways management through commissars, with the role and importance of commissars activities in ensuring stable operation of the railways. The article discloses the activity of commissars to inform the centre on state of affairs on railways, to organize agitation-and-propaganda and cultural work on the railroads, to improve the living conditions of railwaymen and to strengthen their labour discipline. Considers the difficulties of commissars’ work, which are a result of both their insufficient educational and vocational level, and a fuzzy definition of their goals and functional duties by the Center. It is alleged that as a result of formation of commissar structure and its activity, the Soviet state was able to achieve stable operation of the railways in the difficult years of the Civil War, which was one of the main factors contributing to the victory of the reds. | 2714 | The article deals with the problem of the specific character of the translator’s knowledge of language and culture. A review of the relevant literature has shown that translation is a unique mode of language use which is significantly different from ordinary communication in a foreign language. The author introduces the concept of “problem awareness” as one of the key characteristics of the translator’s lingua-cultural knowledge. Problem awareness is essential in translation which involves switching between languages. It is understood as the awareness of the linguistic factors causing breakdowns in code-switching in translation, as well as the ability to deal with such problems. These linguistic factors include idioms and proverbs/sayings, translator’s false friends, culture-specific concepts, geographical names and confusing words similar in form, meaning or use. Each linguistic factor is described and its ability to interfere with the process of code-switching is explained. Based on these facts a list of relevant skills and psychological characteristics is presented for each group of linguistic means. The author then provides guidelines for ensuring a targeted approach to the teaching of the above-mentioned linguistic means. This article is devoted to studying a special type of network of the Russian Diaspora discourse is the discourse of the Russian-speaking Diaspora of China as a representative of the Russian linguistic culture, which is focused in the area of Chinese culture. Along with xenonyms-realities, xenonyms-interpretatives are distinguished in this discourse. If xenonyms-realities are signs of non-equivalent, initially ethnospecific phenomena and concepts of foreign-language reality, then xenonyms-interpretatives have full-fledged lexical correspondences in the recipient language, are not marked by ethno-cultural marking in the matrix language and serve the perception, understanding and interpretation of foreign language and socio-cultural reality by the Diaspora community. Material and methods. The material of the research is more than 1000 texts of network communication of the Russian-speaking Diaspora community of China, including the xenonym-interpretative chabudou. Along with the methodological tools of interlinguoculturology, derivatology and lexical semantics, the methods of contextual and discourse analysis, as well as corpus and experimental linguistics are used. Results and discussion. The analysis of data from the Online Chinese corpus and the results of a pilot experiment aimed at identifying indications of the language consciousness of Chinese students shows that the Chinese adverb 差不多 chabuduo is a typical frequency word in everyday Chinese word usage and is not endowed with special linguistic and cultural significance as an ethnospecific concept. As a reference means of expressing the universal semantic category of approximation, it has direct equivalent in the Russian language: примерно (about), приблизительно (approximately), почти (almost). However, in the course of entering into the network Russian-speaking diasporal discourse and adapting in it to the function of the xenonym-interpretative adverb chabudou undergoes a number of morphological-syntactic and lexical-semantic transformations during its entry into the network Russian-speaking diasporal discourse and adaptation in it. The main ones in this series are the substantiation of the adverb that contributes to the conceptualization of the characteristic parameters, the expansion of the range of syntactic positions of the lexeme, its inclusion in a variety of word-forming and semantic derivative modifications. Conclusion. At the level of the hypertext of discourse xenonym-interpretative is endowed with a special ethnospecific meaning, there is an intensive increase in the frequency of its use, the introduction of the xenonym into the structure of quasi-precedent statements and other forms of linguocreative practices of the network Diaspora community. | 2726 | The article considers the key features of communication as a tool of linguistic manipulation in advertising discourse. The aim of this study is to investigate the technologies of creating perlocutionary effect in American advertising communication. At the stage of the interpretation the vast majority of American advertising works consisting of few words are transformed into informative and pragmatic semiotic texts. Nowadays the US advertising shows a big variety of products with different degrees of verbal congestion. As a part of this study we have found a lot of advertising samples which include the minimum amount of verbal text: only the name brand or trade mark and single-phrase slogan. It should be noted that even the most minimum quantity of speech act expressed by the well-known and popular person lead to the greater intensity and immensity of its significance. Having analyzed the fragments of advertising texts we conclude that the informative congestion of communication is fundamental to its ability to persuade with the only proviso that by congestion we mean not the number of language units but the amount of their information content. The findings of the integrated and comprehensive study of the informative congestion of discourse and text can be used in pragmalinguistics, text linguistics, functional linguistics, theory of intercultural communication. | 2738 | The article presents an analysis of the linguistic means of expression of semantics of mental and physical states and their functional load in the stories by L. S. Petrushevskaya. In the process of representation of the studied semantics the traditional two-component models (the predicate and the carrier of the state) are characteristic of the syntactic level, on the semantic level attention focuses on the degree of intensity and depression. The simplicity of language means of expression is one of the key characteristics of creative works by L. S. Petrushevskaya. Conversational vocabulary, abundant urban slang, simple sentences, short gloomy phrases of the characters create a special artistic world of the author. In characters’ feelings expression there are no middle, neutral, «etiquette» of emotions, there is always felt anguish and emotional intensity: loved, wept, hard, etc. Hate is expressed indirectly, through the prism of despair and powerlessness. An analysis of the semantics of language means of expression in L. S. Petrushevskaya’s stories states the evidence of their artistic significance in the process of describing characters’ images. Laconic and simple shapes clearly highlight the depth of the feelings and experiences of the characters, the description of the emotional, physical and mental state generates a representation of the inner world of the characters, their perception of reality. | 2739 | The faculty of Culture and Arts of Tomsk State Pedagogical University in the professional training of bachelor in the direction of “pedagogical education” with two profiles of preparation as “Visual art” and “World art culture” presented the innovative educational project. The project is designed for the whole five-year course and is called to raise the professional education of future teachers in the visual arts to a qualitatively new level on the basis of a competence approach. The innovativeness of the project consists in output on a meta-subject level - a necessary requirement for new education standards, and also in covering by it the whole student course in the University and the integration of theoretical and practical training. The stages and content of the project are consistently disclosed, as well as its profound content aspects related to the activities of the student in the process of working on an artwork (with the help of its art criticism analysis and copying). The main result of the project is to master the competencies of the future teacher on the basis of theoretical and practical knowledge, got by a student in the process of mastering disciplines of culturological, pedagogical and artistic-creative directions that eventually must be demonstrated in final qualifying work. The student’s attitude to the work in progress, his abilities, knowledge level are monitored during the implementation of the project, that helps a teacher to adjust the work - either to complicate the research or creative task, or to give more difficult, but feasible tasks. Thus, during the educational process the student is developing and improving, personally disclosing under the supervision of teachers. Thereby, the project is actual for modern higher education associated with learning in creative directions. | 2740 | The article deals with the peculiarities of teaching foreign languages at technical faculties. It demonstrates the results of studying the issue of communicative asymmetry. The theoretical aspects focus on productive communicative skills. This approach takes into account a variety of exercises associated with creative interpretation and responses of students. Authentic texts take priority. Alternative methods promote to model situations on real communication. It defines comfortable interaction of students: pair work, group work, class work. Group participation is a contemporary and adequate form of collaboration. This kind of activities enables the students to interact with other members and also develops a sense of mutual responsibility and team spirit. Linguistic and functional schemes can be used in order to achieve productive speaking. Selected conversation patterns are very significant in organizing and running discussions: expressing conviction, interrupting, agreeing or disagreeing. The structure includes topic sentences, supporting reasons, concluding re-statements. The article presents the examples of tasks produced according to cognitive interests, individual characteristics of participants. Motivation ranks high. The main purpose of teachers is to inspire. It provides abilities to discuss problems, points of view and advance arguments. This model is proved as the most effective way to improve the current level of speaking skills. It results in creative statements of students and enhances the capability to co-operate and communicate. It brings together perspectives from linguistics, discourse analysis research.
