Introduction. Considering the problems with graphical training and formation of graphical culture of secondary school students is timely and relevant due to reducing the number of teaching hours devoted to the study of graphic disciplines. In this regard, to search for new opportunities and develop educational-methodical support for improving the quality of graphics education of students in high school is of high interest now. The aim of this study is to identify the general level of students’ graphical culture, importance of the graphical training course in the secondary school, as well as to identify ways and means to enhance the graphic education of the students. Material and methods. Research materials, used in this study, are the data collected from the literature on graphic culture and graphical preparation of students, and education process in secondary school. In this study we used general scientific analysis methods: synthesis, comparison, surveillance and questioning, interrogating and performing graphic assignments by the students. Results and discussion. We defined the term “graphic culture” in the context of this study, determined the structural components of graphic culture, the stages of graphic education of high school students, examined the ways and means of improving the quality of graphic preparation, in particular, by studying the “Technology” course. We have provided detailed information on pedagogical and psychological counseling and the implementation of graphic assignments by students. Conclusion. We have proposed the following strategies for better accumulation of graphic knowledge and skills during secondary school studying. First, to use the structural-logical schema when studying different subjects. Second, to include the graphic disciplines to the list of complementary courses, elective courses, and as additional education of secondary school students. Third, to pay a special attention to graphic education at the classes on technology, purposefully forming students’ knowledge and skills in reading and making of drawings, sketches, diagrams, as well as of a general aesthetic perception of the objects of surrounding world. | 3314 | Introduction. Phenomenological discourse in literature is connected with methodological orientation on perception of literary work as a phenomenon of author’s reality and event in reader perception. Due to such dialogue biorientation, the literary text ceases to be understood as a closed object, reaching the level of existential communication between the author and the reader with the basis for value event. Which makes it possible to talk about the possibility of revealing the perceiving consciousness through a dialog search for one’s word and another’s word. Materials and methods. The study uses analytical, descriptive, axiological methods and a phenomenological approach. The material for the study is the chapter of “A Writer’s Dairy” by F. M. Dostoevsky “One of the Modern Fales” (1873), ego-documents: notebooks 1863–1864, letters to A. G. Kovner (1877), N. P. Peterson (1878) and E. F. Yunge (1880). Results and discussion. As part of the axiological analysis of the text, the category “author’s position” was identified as an “aesthetic coefficient” of the value orientation vector of the literary work. The “position of the author” is understood through the dialogical principle, drawn by M. M. Bakhtin as the first definition in the polyphonic structure of the works of F. M. Dostoevsky. The dialogue of the writer is an all-encompassing concept, with neither temporary nor simple borders. This was directly reflected in the idea, genre and composition of “A Writer’s Diary”. Other modality, based on the conjugation of the Self and the Other consciousness, is characterized by position-value variability. The existential consciousness of the writer manifests itself in a word having a dialogue orientation. Dialogue is an attributive characteristic of existential consciousness. Personal Self shows itself as an object and subject through the situation of analysis of the process of self-knowledge. Conclusion. The process of the reader discovering not just the spiritual and moral foundations of the author’s personality, but the very situation of their formation is important in the situation of the value orientation of the young generation. Through the dialogue with the consciousness of the perceiving subject, Dostoevsky opens the way for the reader to acquire his Self (both I-author and I-reader). Keywords: dialogue, author, value analysis, Other, existential consciousness, F. M. Dostoevsky, “A Writer’s Dairy” | 1945 | ||||
Introduction. The present paper introduces Russian historians of linguistics to a little-known treatise on the history of Spanish – “Del origen y principio de la lengua castellana o romance que oi se usa en España” (1606) by Bernardo de Aldrete. Aim and objectives. The aim of the present study is to analyse B. De Aldrete’s treatise and specify how certain notions of general linguistics, crucial for its present state of development, were being developed. Material and methods. The study is based on a print edition of Aldrete’s treatise (about 400-pages long). The methods employed are: critical analysis of the text as an example of Renaissance linguistic thought and sociocultural analysis of the historical context the treatise was written in. This XVII-century scientific text and its system of terms are interpreted with the help of modern terminology, as normally done by linguistic historiography scholars. Results and discussion. The analysis of Aldrete’s treatise as a specimen of Spanish linguistic thought is performed against the background of the earlier linguistic tradition and the sociocultural situation in the Golden-Age Spain. XVI–XVII-century Pyrenees linguistics – Spanish in particular – was developing in a very specific sociocultural milieu, which preconditioned its inter-paradigmatic nature and an extremely wide scope of objects and themes discussed. The paper mainly focuses on how Aldrete dealt with general linguistic issues in his treatise on the history of Spanish. The analysis shows that such issues include: ways of naming language; functions of language; diversity of forms of speech; correlations between language system and speech; historicity of language; language contacts; diatopic (territorial), diastratic (social) and diaphasic (functional) variation of language; distinguishing between dialects and languages; the domineering role of standard language. Conclusion. The author of the XVII-century historical-linguistic treatise under analysis does not limit himself to studying purely historical aspects of language. The work by Aldrete embraces a wide range of issues of general linguistics, which shows that as early as in the pre-Port-Royal period linguists were already discussing the concepts and principles that are crucial for modern linguistic science. | 3316 | Introduction. The author analyzes the concepts of «condition» and «pedagogical conditions», identifies and justifies the pedagogical conditions for the education of civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GFSK GTO, taking into account the selected components of civil qualities of adolescents. Aim and objectives: to identify the pedagogical conditions for the education of civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GTO complex. Material and methods. The research material is theoretical and empirical research on civic education and pedagogical conditions of education. The analysis of the research helped to clarify a number of pedagogical terms and theoretically justify the identified pedagogical conditions. Results and discussion. The term «condition» is a General scientific term, but depending on the branch of scientific knowledge it is considered from different positions (philosophical, psychological, pedagogical). In this regard, «pedagogical conditions» are interpreted by scientists in different ways, but the function of pedagogical conditions remains unchanged-the influence on the development, training and upbringing of the individual. Taking into account the fact that pedagogical conditions are specially created, we will consider them from the point of view of increasing the effectiveness of the process of personal development, education and training. Pedagogical conditions aimed at improving the effectiveness of the process of educating civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GTO complex, we divide into three groups, taking into account the selected components of educating civil qualities of adolescents: the first group is pedagogical conditions that reflect the characteristics of the axiological component of educating civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GTO complex; the second group of pedagogical conditions, reflecting the characteristics of the cognitive component of the education of civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GTO, the third group – pedagogical conditions, which reflect the characteristics of the action component of the education of civil qualities of adolescents by means of the GTO. Conclusion. The analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the problem of restoring civic qualities of adolescents has shown that to increase the effectiveness of achieving the set pedagogical goal, a mandatory factor is the creation of specific pedagogical conditions that allow to fully implement the model of educating civic qualities of adolescents by means of the complex GTO. | 3317 | The notion of in-equivalent vocabulary stands for culture-specific lexicon units in a source text considered impossible to render into target language without more or less significant losses. Although, there exist a number of translation techniques aimed to facilitate understanding of such words for foreign readers. Each of such techniques can be correlated to two opposite strategies of domestication and foreignization, thus enabling to measure the degree to which translators managed to recreate culture-specific component in translated text. The purpose of the research is to analyze the specific features of in-equivalent lexicon units translation in four English versions of “The Golden Calf” novel by I. Ilf and E. Petrov. The research is based on 320 in-equivalent lexicon units in five text sources: 1) И. Ильф, Е. Петров. «Золотой телёнок» (1931), 2) The Little Golden Calf (transl. Ch. Malamut, 1932), 3) The Complete Adventures of Ostap Bender (transl. J.H.C. Richardson, 1961), 4) The Little Golden Calf (transl. A. Fisher, 2009), 5) The Golden Calf (transl. K. Gurevich, H. Anderson, 2009). The methods applied are general scientific (observation and description) and linguistic (text analysis, comparative analysis). In-equivalent lexicon units in “The Golden Calf” novel, set against the background of intensive formation of new Soviet lexicon, includes several classes such as sovietizms (32% of all in-equivalent units), objects and phenomena of everyday life (18%), words of foreign origin (14%), historical words (12%), phraseological units (10%), jargon and dialect words (10%), folklore words (3%), and nonce-words (1%). The comparative study of translation of the given classes of in-equivalent vocabulary in analysed English versions of “The Golden Calf” reveals the methods preferred by each interpreter. More often the authors used the techniques of description and approximate translation; less popular were the methods of hyponymic translation and calque, with the restribution of meaning as the least favorable method. Matching the techniques of in-equivalent lexical units translation to foreignization and domestication strategies makes it possible to declare that the most foreignized is Ann Fisher’s version while the most domesticated one – the translation by K. Gurevich and H. Anderson. Keywords: in-equivalent lexicon units, “The Golden Calf”, translation techniques, domestication, foreignisation | 1945 | ||||

The purpose of the article is to identify the features of scientific linguistic habitus. The author proceeds from the interpretation of science as a form of social practice and understanding of its subjective basis as a set of dispositions (scientific habitus). The linguistic habitus of science is defined as one of the sets of dispositions of the subject of scientific practice, acquired in a particular socio-historical context by taking into account the peculiarities of its carrier, and reflected the linguistic identity of a scientist to a particular tradition (educational, disciplinal, national, cultural). Responding to the question of how linguistic habitus is associated with an actual scientific practice, what specific nature it has and what the mechanisms of formation are, – the author, firstly, asserts the existence of a gap between the linguistic habitus of science and scientific practice itself. | 3344 | The article puts forward a model of studying a n artistic image in national poetic linguoculture. The model comprises three levels: сharacter-contextual, linguopoetic and conceptual. Each of the levels offers research into different layers of the image. The first level aims at describing character repertoire of the image, the second level focuses on its linguostylistic characteristics and the third level provides research into its conceptual content. Application of the model contributes to understanding of a literary image as a complex phenomenon – a projection of three semiotic systems: poetics, language and culture. Thus, each of the model layers is characterized by its own methods of research. Contextual analysis is a dominant method of research on the first level. At this stage of analysis major focus is given to constructing contextual setting of the image. Thus, the following structure of integrated imagological context is proposed in the article. Names of characters and their second naming varieties constitute its nuclear zone, speech portraits represent its central zone and a peripheral area comprises narrative portraits. Quantitative and linguostylistic analyses dominate on the second level of imagological research. At this stage the analysis is split in two parts: research into lexical specifics of imagological contexts and its stylistic peculiarities. A conceptual analysis is used on the third level of imagological research and it aims at establishing links and means of connecting the image to national culture through a notion of linguocultural concept. | 3345 | Studying at the higher school requires a certain level of readiness to integrate into university community. Disability to meet the challenges they face may become demotivating factor, impede their progress in academia and lead to subsequent departure. The core idea of the article is promoting well-being-oriented education programme for first-year students’ personal self-change. The study identifies the possible roots of the student’s subjective response to their failure within the academic environment. The article provides a description of the issues relevant to both teachers’ and students’ areas of responsibility, that make influence on the success of integration into academic community. Grounded on a set of subject-field factors, a survey was set for the first-year students of different fields of study (n = 511). This method was aimed to reveal the level of students’ perception of their transition and introduction to academic community. The follow-on purpose was to encourage self-awareness of teachers and students. Analysis of the survey data indicates the venues of instructional practices enhancement, strategies for adjustment issues optimization in terms of personality and cognitive development. A good move to actualize the process of students self-improvement is orientation program geared towards event-directed approach. Empiric evidence can possibly be addressed during new student orientation programme development, facilitate a solution to the problem of impersonality in the educational process in higher school. Keywords: school-to-university transition, induction into academia culture, transition difficulties, selfimprovement, self-awareness, teacher-learner interaction, introductory practice, self-organization game | 1943 | ||||
This article represents by itself the historical survey of the Russian liberal phenomenon. The main author's thought is contained in that during all the times of the lib¬eral ideas existence in Russia, they penetrated in a kind of philosophic and religion discourse of intellectuals only. Thus the liberal traditions appeared in the narrow layer of Russian society. | 1942 | ||||
The problem of quality is a central one in the education at its different levels. The activity of monitoring centres concerning the quality of education shows that the adequate and continuous diagnostics of a training process becomes more and more meaningful stimulus for the personal, intellectual, professional and creative development of schoolchildren and students in secondary and higher educational institutions. The majority of systems for the knowledge quality control is focused only to the estimation of final results of training. Here we offer a technique, which allows to control the process of mastering the basic parameters of knowledge among the students' on the course of general physics. | 1942 | ||||
The specific psychological abilities and qualities In the structure of personality of Chuvash ethnic group on the basis of comparing them with similar character features of other ethnic group (Russian, mixed families ethnic marginalia) have been studied experimentally The obtained data are interpreted from the point of view of their conditionally by natural-geographical, historical-cultural, ethnic living conditions of the ethnic group. | 1942 | ||||
Two different approaches are currently available for the analysis of the behaviour of the solid particles in flows. These are termed the Eulerian and Langrangian. In the Lagrangian method on the trajectories of the individual size fractions are evaluated by solving time dependent ordinary differential equations. In the Eulerian approach on the other hand, partial differential equations for the conservation of mass and momentum are written for each of the particle’s fractions, which are solved together with the equation of the liquid flow. Even in the simplest hydrocyclone model, there are two phases present, namely liquid, and monosized particles. Since particles of different diameters move with different velocity, each additional particle size represents an additional phase. An algebraic slip approach was used, with three momentum equations solved for the mixture, and relative moment of each fractions take into account in the conservations equations, in an iterative manner. The relative velocities between the particles and liquid in the hydrocyclone are evaluated by consideration of the dynamic force balance on the particle itself. The consequence of the mass conservation for the all fractions in a turbulent flow is the equation of turbulent diffusion of particles for each particle fraction mass concentration (Euler description form). The method of the determination of the diffusion coefficient of the solid phases is considered. Results allow to draw a conclusion that given formula well describes turbulent transport of solid phase flow and can be used for numerical modelling multiphase flows | 1942 | ||||
A geometrical covariant definition of the variation of conserved quantities is introduced for Lagrangian field theories, suitable for both metric and affine gravitational theories. When this formalism is applied to the Hilbert Lagrangian we obtain a covariant definition of the Hamiltonian (and consequently a definition of the Energy) for a gravitational system The definition of the variation of Energy depends on boundary conditions one imposes. Different boundary conditions are introduced to define different energies: the gravitational heat (corresponding to Neumann boundary conditions) and the Brown-York quasilocal energy (corresponding to Dirichlet boundary conditions) for a gravitational system. An analogy between the behavior of a gravitational system and a macroscopical thermodynamics system naturally arises and relates control modes for the thermodynamical system with boundary conditions for the gravitational system. This geometrical and covariant framework enables one to define entropy of gravitational systems, wnich results to be a geometric quantity with well-defined cohomological properties arising from the obstruction to foliate spacetimes into spacelike hypersurfaces. This definition of gravitational entropy turns out to be very general: it can be generalized to causal horizons and multiple-horizon spacetimes and applied to define entropy for more exotic singular solutions of Einstein field equations. The same definition results also to be well-suited in higher dimensions and in the case of alternative gravitational theories. | 1942 | ||||
