The paper defends the thesis that phenomenological reconstruction of transformation in culture of philosophical images of science allows to reveal basic mechanisms of modification of science representations. Modifications of representations depend on 1) orientations to historical mutations of bases of understanding of the worldview orientations forming semantic structure of scientific knowledge; 2) necessity of correlation of actions of scientists with versions of periodically reproduced informative ideal (original wisdom). The article reviewes the problem of scientific selection of the content of teaching physics in the present conditions of training engineersof innovative type. Discusses development of motivation in students and innovative thinking as a means of execution of the target species of educational innovation activity of students. Gives the example of the modification of the known tasks performed independently by the students as a part of the project. On this basis, the concept of the educational potential of standard tasks is introdused. Educational potential is a combination of the resources for transformation of the tasks into the projects to produce important results. Gives the scheme of the Van der Graaf generator, developed by the students from improvised materials, discusses the results of a survey of students to find ou their attitude toward the project implementation activities. For example, we compare students' predictions to what they report before having seen the demonstration, discuss the answers both right after the demonstration and several weeks later.

The article deals with the issue of changing the type of educational communication in modern education. The modern communicational landscape of education has been defined: the aspect of communication is regarded as one of the factors of education development. The communicative aspect defines the way learners deal with knowledge, acquire their individual educational experience, shape their culture of thinking. The authors emphasize the issue of searching for new approaches towards organizing educational communication by a teacher according to the objectives defined by the modern landscape of education. The article presents the results of an educational experiment that light upon the issue of defining and designing new communicative scenario for a teacher in class. The analysis of the experiment draws upon the phenomenological description of the case of communication organized in a university class. On the basis of the analysis of the experiment case and the experiment transcript, the authors define three possible communicative scenarios for a teacher: the didactic scenario (the traditional one: a teacher is the source and the regulator of communication in class), the ‘teacher is out’ scenario (a teacher leaves the front stage of a class through rejecting his / her traditional communicational functions), and the blended scenario (a teacher as a co-participant of communication).

The play The Days of the Turbins is usually studied in view of author’s and his characters’ political standings in the situation of the extremely dramatic change of government in Russia. The article analyzes the poetical manner of the play and finds out that the author used a wide variety of the expressive means, not just comical, but even slapstick. These slapstick elements can be found on the different levels and stages of the action: the play starts with obviously comical Nikolka’s «cook song» and ends with exceedingly passionate and comical, yet somewhat lyrical speaches by Lariosik. There is a system in use of the slapstick expressive means in description of authorities running away: from the implicit ones (the discussion of tsar by the drunk friends, singing Pushkin’s poem The Song of the Wise Oleg, rumors from Shervinsky about tsar’s return) to the explicit climactic slapstick scene in hetman’s palace. In the system of characters with use of means of comic not only Lariosik and Shervinsky’s images, but also Talberg are allocated: this not comic character is presented in a farcical situation of delay, replacement with another, in dialogue with repetitions, in zoomorfny assessment. The comic travesty of serious things, slapstick and drama in different forms and scales are considered in this article on the poetic manner in the play The Days of the Turbins as coexisting, contrasting, outlining, rejecting each other. The authors of the article believe that system manifestation of the slapstick poetic manner by the author of The Days of the Turbins shows to M. Bulgakov’s participation in that direction of creative search of theatrical vanguard of the 1920th years which was expressed in Mayakovsky’s dramatic art, Erdman - authors by Vs. Meyerkhold.

The article reveals categorical opposition of logic and a language. The language and logic appear as two different Interacting moments which organize the text. The article reveals the specifics of the genesis of money and monetary relations in primitive culture from the perspective of facts stated in anthropology, which sufficiently suggested that money existed in primitive culture. Directly to economic exchange (barter), they were not required, but the money worked in non-functioning forms of exchange and initiated rational disposal of surplus. Money in the ritual exchange of “Kula” united the different parts of the primitive society, after that the economic exchange was possible. In the ritual of “potlatch” the money were fixed amount consumed for sacrificial benefits that had to return to the owners with increasing in future.

Universal commerce that appeared in Russia in XIX century reached its fullest flower in Soviet period both in cities and countries. In 1920’s GUM (State Department Store, from Russian Gosudarstvenniy Universalniy Magazin) became a symbol of NEP. After a bright period of activities in 1920’s Tyumen branch of GUM reappeared in 1930’s in the form of state and cooperative trading organizations. By the end of 1930’s state department stores that started their activity as one of the forms of trading organizations became the best form of Soviet trading. The article describes the main periods of this evolution, draws reader’s attention to the managerial decisions in trading sphere, the analysis of the activity of the Tyumen branch of GUM and the reasons of its liquidation. Much attention is given to the difficulties of the development of the state trading in the provincial Tyumen in 1930’s, the author defines forms and methods of state universal commerce and analyses the role of advertisement in this process. The results of the research show that by the end of 1930’s state commerce already had leading position in the city in context of command and administration system establishment. This period was essential in shaping the principles of Soviet universal commerce.

Kudryavtseva Irina Petrovna UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF ENGLISH IDIOMS DERIVED FROM SPECIAL TERMS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 5 (202). P. 53-57

Introduction. The article offers a selection and classification of modern English language units of terminological character with etymological comments. The aim of the paper is to consider terminologisms or terms with transferred meaning. Terminologism is a language unit with several components which has either direct terminological or professional meaning. This direct meaning becomes the basis for derived, figurative meaning. It is fixed in speech as a result of repeated use. Material and methods. The language material of this article includes 555 terminological units collected from special philological researches and specialized modern dictionaries of English idioms. The analyzed language units are divided into subgroups by source. The most productive areas of terminology are sports, military and maritime fundamentals, gambling. Moreover, there is reference to language units from the hunting area, theatre, arts, and various sciences. Further on, terminologisms are considered from the point of view of transparency, deducibility of their meaning: both direct and figurative. Results and discussion. It is noted that such fixed expressions can be both completely transparent, clear and completely opaque. Transparent terminologisms, as a rule, are understandable due to the inner form (components) and figurative meaning. Transparent terminologisms are known and recognizable because of general cultural background of the addressee as well. Opaque terminologisms are divided into two groups. On the one hand, there are fixed expressions that contain a specific component. This specific component is a term with the meaning unknown to common people. On the other hand, the inner form of the fixed expression is not entirely understandable. Although all the components are clear, the image conveyed by the term is not clear at all. As a result, the figurative meaning of this term is not deducible. The article comments on the meanings of terminologisms which are considered difficult for understanding. Real examples and dictionary definitions of direct and figurative meanings are given. At the end, the results of the study are summarized. Conclusion. The result of the survey can be used in the special course on modern English phraseology. As a subject of further research, it is assumed that the media and the Internet have the potential for the formation of new modern English terminological units and terminologisms as well.

The incorporative effects of luminescent red radiation of low intensity, generated by correcting light polyethylene films and redundant ultraviolet-A radiation on morphogenesis of Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Henh. of wild-type Ler and two light mutants hy3 and hy4 deficient in synthesis phytochrome B and cryptochrome 1 accordingly were investigated. Wild-type plants, cultivated under these correcting light films have no any changes in its development, while hy4 mutant exhibits increased development process and growth. Lethal effect of UV-A radiation was noted in the process of growing hy3 mutant, especially in the initial stage of true leaves development. The article is devoted to the one of the last plays by E. L. Shvarts “A Story of a Young Couple”). It is devoted to the problem of mutual understanding of loving people, their readiness to build relationship in a family and accept a compromise. The motive “learner-teacher” plays an essential role in the logic of the play. This motive is developing during the act of the play and is linking plotlines of different characters. This motive is shown on several levels: verbal, situational and on the level of the system of characters. The author of the article has tried to analyse the semantic spectrum of the motive. In the post-war time the loss of kin relations is filled up with family creation that is with clan creation. It distinguishes the work of E. L. Shvarts from the Soviet literature representing a family as the state. An important psychological, social and ontological role is played in this case by “teachers” who are keepers and propagators of life values. The followers are represented by people of young generation who have already created families or who are on the way toward it. The teachers are people of older generation (tutors, fellow workers, casual acquaintances and also come to life toys, the appearance of which attaches fabulousness to the play.

The article presents the results of studying and solving the problem of improving the training of specialists capable to read foreign literature on specialities to learn about the latest achievements of foreign science and technology with the aim to use it in their work. Modern Tomsk author Tatyana Efremovna Meyko writes in the genre of philosophical stories, continuing the tradition of Hans Christian Andersen, Konstantin Ushinsky, Arkadiy Gaidar, Valentin Kataev. The fairytale “Zernyshko” is considered as a phenomenon of “common” literature that is aimed on the one hand at an adult and on the other hand at a child. On the level of plot the tale is clear to children. Rich intertextual formation (allusions to mythology, the Bible, folklore and literature) is designed for the understanding of the problem of choice of life for more prepared readers. The ways of creating images of characters (names, characteristics of speech, their relationship with the world, transmitted via spatial characteristics) are analyzed in this article. In the spatial organization of tales the opposition “top – bottom” is important and the way is the topos. The hero of the tale is able to overcome obstacles, to look for answers to questions, to move forward. Using references to the Bible, world literature, Т. Meyko connects the image of the grain with the semantics of eternal renewal, the triumph of life over death. Т. Meyko uses the techniques of attracting attention of the listener (issues treatment), typical tales formula. In addition, she imbues the text with poetic metaphors, which gives the narrative a lyrical tone.

Polyakova Natalya Vladimirovna VERBS OF INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT ON A FIRM SURFACE IN THE SELKUP LANGUAGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 96-99

The verbs denoting independent movement on a firm surface in the Taz, central and southern dialects of the Selkup language are considered. In the dialects of the Selkup language the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion is represented by a significant amount of the verbs describing various ways of the movement, its nature, general orientation against the speaker, conditions in which this movement occurs, etc. There is a relatively little number of polysemantic verbs among the verbs of movement in the dialects of the Selkup language and the number of meanings of verbs is insignificant as well. Most Selkup verbs of motion (60 %) are monosemantic, about 60 % of meanings do not repeat, i.e. they are peculiar to one verb of motion. In the Selkup lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion the synonymic relations are poorly developed in comparison with Russian in spite of the fact that among the verbs of motion in the Selkup language the synonymy is more developed than in other lexico-semantic groups of the studied language. The verb qənqo is the central element of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The semantics of this verb does not include the description of conditions in which the movement occurs, its direction, way and mode. The verbs čāǯįgu and kwangu are the central elements of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the southern and central dialects of the Selkup language. Description of the general direction of the movement (making nearer or farther) and orientation in space is the most essential thing for the Selkup verbs of motion. There are several specifics of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the dialects of the Selkup language: existence of the space-oriented verbs; the verbs denoting movements in space made by means of certain devices / vehicles; almost full incompatibility of the verbs of motion with the abstract nouns and nouns denoting objects, incapable of the independent movement. The movement and the ability to the movement is a marker of animateness, on the basis of this marker representatives of the Selkup ethnos differentiate animated and inanimate, i.e. alive and dead. Everything that moves is animated.

The article presents a discussion analysis of the project of the Concept of school philological education and the Concepts of teaching the Russian language and literature. Analyzes accentual positions of scientists, methodologists, practitioners, teachers, highlights critical points. The documents are presented through the prism of goal-setting of the values of education in general and arts education in particular. Describes the declared approaches, the didactic unit and vectors of development. Discusses academic aspects of school literary education, questions of succession, cultural and interdisciplinary integration. Presentes and describes the structural components of documents in a comparative manner and characterizes in discussional form. There is strengthening of the actual science, not peculiar to the documents of this kind before (in particular the concept of «linguistic personality in the cultural-linguistic field of the nation», «the language of the aesthetic ideal», «intuitive assimilation of the laws of language», etc.). Considers the basic vectors of the сoncept of teaching the Russian language and literature, including the concept of the school philological education (among them: working with the linguistic deformations, the knowledge of language as a symbolic system and a social phenomenon, the regulatory formats and the variety of speech activity recorded by the correlates between the existing legal, regulatory and instructional materials, and conceptual directions of the development).

Language is an essential element of culture and it is possible to transfer cultural information via language. Meanwhile, cultural changes affect the development of the language elements such as grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and usage. Therefore, the study of a culture cannot be complete without learning the language in which cultural codes are transmitted. Proverbs are an important part of the language. The contents include moral values, lifestyle, traditional culture and many other aspects. They demonstrate some ethnic cultural values, reflect the inner world of the people. There are many Chinese proverbs showing the traditional ideas of marriage and the right choice of a spouse. The family as a unit of society is an important carrier of continuity and the development of national culture. This article discusses the importance of family life and the meanings of marriage based on the analysis of some typical related Chinese proverbs. The characteristics and special features of Chinese traditional family and marriage values can be represented in these proverbs. The deep structure of the proverbs indicates the need to preserve stability and harmony in the family and marriage, which is one of the most crucial values identified and substantiated through long history. This paper suggests that traditional Chinese people have been paying great attention to the family life and quality of marriage. It emphasizes that when choosing a spouse, moral qualities were considered more seriously than outer appearance. Besides, the positions of the husband and wife should be roughly equal in terms of social classes, financial conditions and educational backgrounds. Proverbs conveys the traditional ideas that men take the leading and dominant roles in family life. By analyzing Chinese proverbs about marriage and family relationships, one can gain further understanding of the traditional Chinese view of marriage and love. In Chinese society at the beginning of the 21st century, traditional values are still the resources for people to develop the new concepts of relations between spouses and such research meets the requirements of the social development of modern society.
