| 2756 | The article gives the versions and myths made by outstanding representatives of religious and philosophical thought and the poets of Silver Century about life and death of Lermontov; analyzes and systematizes their understanding of the tragedy – the death of the poet, identifies common places in their views on the poet (brevity of his life, incompleteness of literary fate and the uncertainty about the religious fate, hypothetical continuation of the poet’s life). A view on a duel as a suicide. The Silver Age of Russian literature is the religious quest, known as the “God-seeking”. Writers, thinkers and religious philosophers have argued individual's right to seek God, to “religious identity” (I. A. Ilyin). They talked in detail about the religious way of consciousness. For them an integral part of their religious understanding of life and the world became Lermontov, whose works gave answers to their excruciating questions. | 2759 | The genre specificity and poetics of George Sand’s monumental autobiography has never been in the focus of Russian scholarly attention. This paper focuses on the history of creation and publication of the work (1847–1855). The author describes the poetics of the French writer’s narrative, employing oratory techniques and amplification, which greatly contributes to its perception. A particular attention is paid to the specificity of female memoirs, which consistently describes the development of the main character in childhood, adolescence, youth and maturity. The paper analyses the original composition of the narrative, in which almost a quarter is devoted to ancestors and parents, with whom George Sand’s character is genetically connected. On the one hand, the heroine of the memoirs is a representative of her generation, with whom she is connected by ties of solidarity. On the other hand, she is a child of the revolutionary era, when a marriage between an aristocrat and a commoner could take place. The author studies the history of the inner life, the “life of the soul” of the main character, which consists in the process of looking for the truth in all spheres of life: true friendship, love, religious and political ideas, moral and aesthetic values, and the meaning of life in general. Finally, the heroine finds her “self” in her literary work. Keywords: autobiography, female memoirs, autobiography of generation, idea of solidarity, public speaking techniques, artist | 1569 | |||||
| 2760 | Introduction. The given analysis is about 475 modern phraseological units that contribute to the formation of the phraseological picture of the world. The study examines the relationship of semantics and the form of phraseological units, due to the situation of communication. The phraseology of a language as part of the linguistic picture of the world is included in the framework of the study of cognitive linguistics. Aim. This study is aimed at identifying and describing modern phraseological units, as an example of allegorical expression in the communication process to achieve certain cognitive goals. Material and methods. The presented empirical material in the article is an actual selection from a modern literary text (Under My Skin, The Door That Led To Where, End Game, Liccle Bit, The Art of Being Normal – 2015 publication). Examples were obtained by reading fiction of modern British authors (J. Dawson, S. Gardner, A. Gibbons, A. Wheatle, L. Williamson), by the method of continuous sampling. Results and discussion. The analysis allowed us to consider the cognitive aspect of phraseological units. It is established that a broad approach to the study of phraseology expands the boundaries of phraseological doctrine and allows you to consider more structural and semantic forms of phraseological units. The following modern phraseological units are considered and analyzed in the article: phraseological units, phraseological units derivatives and author formations. The semantic features of derivatives of phraseological units and copyright formations are analyzed in the framework of modern phraseology of the English language. It is shown that the structural complexity of phraseology is based on the cognitive aspect of its semantic structure. Conclusion. The analysis made it possible to identify the structural range of phraseological units and consider their transformative processes according to semantics and situational use. The study shows that the modification of phraseological structures and the introduction of new idiomatic phrases (derivatives of phraseological units and author’s idiomatic expressions) are due to linguistic and cultural needs in the expression of society. All analyzed modern phraseological units of the English language are considered as operational units of thinking of the present time and are a means of reflecting the linguistic picture as a whole. The linguistic picture of the world is a reflection of the external and internal world of a person, his thinking and speech. The modern phraseology of the English language reflects changes in human comprehension, understanding and interpretation of the outside world. The phraseological unit has a complex structure and belongs to a special linguistic category, which leads to an increase in the interest of cognitive research. Thus, the study of phraseology at this stage should be focused on the phraseological unit, its meaning and its usage. | 2761 | Introduction. In the context of the positive development of Russian-Korean relations in the economic, political, educational, cultural and other spheres, specialists who speak the Korean language as a means of communication with native speakers for performing various activities are increasingly in demand in Russia. Accordingly, domestic Korean methodologists and teachers of higher education face a serious task – to optimize and intensify the process of teaching the Korean language in order to form a secondary linguistic personality with communicative intercultural competence. The lack of development of the skills of intercultural communication makes it impossible for an adequate mutual understanding of the participants in the act of communication belonging to different cultures, which makes it difficult for the interpenetration and interaction of cultures. One of the ways to solve the presented problem is to use an intercultural approach in teaching the Korean language. Material and methods. The research material is the cultural universals of Korean culture, a comparative method, an intercultural approach is used. Results and discussion. The principles of the intercultural approach are described, a cultural analysis of Korean culture is proposed, according to which it is possible to determine the content of intercultural competence. A methodology for the formation of intercultural competence in students in the Korean language is proposed, represented by the nomenclature of skills and abilities of sociolinguistic, discursive, strategic and sociocultural competence, based on the use of frames, as well as knowledge – cultural universals, in connection with which the work presents a cultural analysis of the Korean culture. Conclusion. The conceptual foundations of the application of the intercultural approach in teaching the Korean language at the university is a complex of psychological and didactic principles: the principle of cultural conformity, acculturation, the principle of controllability by one’s own psychological background, the state of situational uncertainty, empathic attitude towards participants in intercultural communication, civic engagement, the principle of taking into account value cultural universals. | 2788 | The research of means verbalizing the modal semantics, and in particular of modal verbs remains urgent in modern linguistics as they express modal values of the possibility and need which are ones of the most important in the cognitive and communicative relation. In its turn, cognitive and communicative needs of society remain variable and that causes semantic function extension of the language means, which are constantly to respond to the needs of society noted above. In this regard the semantics studying of the verb müssen is especially significant. The purpose of the research presented in this article is to reveal specifics and to define the mechanisms of the past and current semantic changes of the verb müssen that have ensured its development as a modal verb according to cognitive and communicative needs of the German society. To that effect the original Old, Middle, Early New and New High German texts were studied. In the selected examples from the given texts by means of the method of semantic interpretation and using the method of contextual analysis the meanings of preterite-present verb müssen functioning as modal verb in the correspondent periods of the development of German language were determined. Due to the consistent usage of the method of comparison and collation in the process of analysis of the meanings their similarities and differences were determined. For more detailed reflection on the transformation development tendency in the semantics of the verb müssen appearing in modal function the methods of mathematical statistics were also used. As a result of the conducted research semantic peculiarities of the verb müssen functioning in various periods of German were specified and the mechanism of the past and current changes is defined. The basic semantic transformation mechanism of the verb müssen into both modal objective and, from Early New High German, into modal subjective semantic is context-induced reinterpretation.
