The paper represents critical notes concerning the paper of K.Y. Reshetnikov and G.S. Starostin «The Structure of Ket Verbal Word-form» in the book «Ket Collection. Linguistics». M., 1995, in which the authors try to build the structure of the Ket verb according to the types of conjugation. Analysing the materials of A. P. Dulson in his book «The Ket Language», Tomsk, 1968, T.A. Kabanova proves the impossibility to interprete the morphemes of the Ket verb unambiguous'v because all of them are polysemantic. The author confirms that by numerous examples. T.A. Kabanova adduces the models proposed by the authors above and analyses them, on the bases of the data represented in the book of A.Р. Dulson. She makes critical notes to some word - forms, to actant system, to the category of time, to the voice and aspect forms in the paper of K.Y. Reshetnikov and G.S. Starostin.

The article observes the problem of genesis of the concept of «nationalism» in culture. Methods of oil-associated gas utilization important for oil producing companies in Russia are being examined in this article. Methods of application and product usage efficiency are analyzed. The performed analysis allowed to outline the main benefits and drawbacks of introduced methods and determine the most attractive way of utilization depending on various characteristics and certain conditions of oil fields (the size, the remoteness of the field, the depth of bedding, the level of infrustructure etc.). The usage of new methods of oil-associated gas utilization analysed in this article allows to increase oil production output much faster, solves the problem of effective CO2 usage at oil fields, which is highly important in modern conditions of oil and oil-associated gas production and usage.

The article presents an analysis of the linguistic means of expression of semantics of mental and physical states and their functional load in the stories by L. S. Petrushevskaya. In the process of representation of the studied semantics the traditional two-component models (the predicate and the carrier of the state) are characteristic of the syntactic level, on the semantic level attention focuses on the degree of intensity and depression. The simplicity of language means of expression is one of the key characteristics of creative works by L. S. Petrushevskaya. Conversational vocabulary, abundant urban slang, simple sentences, short gloomy phrases of the characters create a special artistic world of the author. In characters’ feelings expression there are no middle, neutral, «etiquette» of emotions, there is always felt anguish and emotional intensity: loved, wept, hard, etc. Hate is expressed indirectly, through the prism of despair and powerlessness. An analysis of the semantics of language means of expression in L. S. Petrushevskaya’s stories states the evidence of their artistic significance in the process of describing characters’ images. Laconic and simple shapes clearly highlight the depth of the feelings and experiences of the characters, the description of the emotional, physical and mental state generates a representation of the inner world of the characters, their perception of reality.

Yan K. THE WAYS OF EXPRESSING SURPRISE IN THE ARTISTIC TEXTS OF IVAN BUNIN RELATED TO THE CHINESE TRANSLATION: ETHNOPSYCHOLINGUISTIC ASPECT. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 2 (191). P. 121-126

This article is devoted to consideration of ways of conveying surprise in the artistic texts of I. A. Bunin compared to the translations into the Chinese language. From the point of view of cultural forms associated with the expression of emotions, traditions of transforming culture can be in different positions in relation to the source. In the present work, three groups of investigated units were singled out: 1) a way to express emotions in case of coincidence of the original and of the translating cultures; 2) a method of expressing emotions in the case of partial matches between the original and translating cultures; 3) a way to express emotions in case of discrepancy between the original and translating cultures. In Bunin’s fiction the emotion of wonder is expressed in three ways: nominative; descriptive; actually emotive. Translation of a literary text is inevitably exposed to the influence of the interpreter’s national picture of the world because of its conditionality to the language and culture of the people. In addition, the translation of a literary text helps to better understand the national, cultural-linguistic sense of the art work, and in several respects reveals the native Chinese speakers’ language picture of the world.

The article is devoted to the problem of cognitive interest development among senior schoolchildren of nonhumanitarian classes during the English language acquisition at a secondary school. The author draws attention to the fact that the newly formed scientific branches provide the emergence of new professions, change the system of school education and increase the development of cognitive interest among schoolchildren. The main idea of the present article is to demonstrate the necessity of learning English for senior schoolchildren, whose profile subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics, as new professions actively come into modern life. Foreign language is considered to be polysubject and can enrich senior schoolchildren of non–humanitarian profile with knowledge on Natural Science and Mathematics and develop their cognitive interest. The interest to a foreign language as a subject, in recent times, is explained by it’s penetrating into different spheres and nonlinguistic professions. Actually, spheres of using a foreign language are extended. According to the “Atlas of new professions”, to 2025–2035 many new professions occur, many of them will need the knowledge of a foreign language. Intersubject relations come into modern school education and really extend the zone of subject knowledge on profile because of the interpenetration of knowledge of different subjects. Integration of a foreign language with Science subjects and Mathematics gives the opportunity for schoolchildren to get new knowledge on profile subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Mathematics and others) and increase the development of cognitive interest among senior schoolchildren. We consider that intersubject integration increases schoolchildren’s motivation to learning foreign languages, develops different kinds of thinking, forms the following abilities – to analyze, to generalize, to synthesize, to compare, make conclusions and others.

Introduction. The relevance of this study, carried out within the framework of a new cognitive-discursive linguistic paradigm, which is characterized by the principle of anthropocentrism, is due to the insufficient study of the poetic picture of the world by M. A. Voloshin. Analysis of the concept «path» in the poet’s work makes it possible to examine in detail and describe the important features of the author’s worldview; allows to establish the characteristic features and means of representation of this concept in its poetic picture of the world. The aim of the study is to identify the features of the content and lexical embodiment of one of the key concepts in the work of M. A. Voloshin – the concept “path”. Material and methods. The article provides data on the analysis of M. Voloshin’s poetic texts of different years, containing the concept of «path», based on the spatial parameters of the path identified by V. N. Toporov. The choice of this concept is due to its special significance for understanding the author’s worldview and his place in it. The research includes the use of methods of conceptual, contextological and semantic-stylistic analysis. Results and discussion. Consideration of some of the features of the verbalization of the concept «path» made it possible to conclude that the artistic space of M. Voloshin’s poetic texts is an individual author’s understanding of being and his place in it. This statement is substantiated by the types of analysis carried out: – the definition of the intertext associative-semantic field of the concept «path» in the texts of M. Voloshin, its ramification due to units that are both traditional and individual-author’s character (wandering spirit, wandering wanderings); – identifying directions of association (path-life, path-search, path-direction, path-destination, path-choice, pathknowledge, path-wandering), the analysis of which showed the presence of a synthesizing character of the path of the lyrical hero (earthly and cosmic paths), the dynamics of its development from existence within the spatial framework to going beyond the limits of time and space; – a detailed analysis of the lexical structure of the author’s poetic texts, in which the concept under consideration is reflected. Conclusion. The study allows us to conclude that in the representation of the concept “path” in the lyrics of M. A. Voloshin reflected the multidimensionality of his personality as a philosopher, thinker, poet. The significance of this research lies in the concretization of the author’s idiostyle and his poetic picture of the world.

The article deals with peculiarities of discursive practice of informational and media language personalities of spectators (witnesses). Spectators (witnesses) are communicated persons who deal in network according to their subjective reasons and become witnesses or participants of events, which can be the informational reason for Internet communication. This type of language personality is free in choice of style, genre, means of communication, which are defined by its causes, common level of culture (it can be different) and thesaurus. Correlation of this type of language personality with the other closed types of Internet communication are examined. Some peculiarities of media discourse of the type of informational and media language personalities subject to subset are revealed. The article is devoted to the research of autobiographical miniature stories of the modern writer Angelika Sumbayeva. Classical works (M. Bakhtin, L. Ginzburg etc.) give the ideas of typological signs of poetics of autobiographical prose of the childhood which are observed in A. Sumbayeva’s prose: psychologism, retrospective view, lyrical modality of the narration caused by the attitude of the storyteller towards the hero. At the same time the volume of a miniature causes features of A. Sumbayeva’s prose: laconicism of descriptions, accuracy in selection of details; transfer of psychological state through nuance, details. The article alalyses in detail the cycle of the stories published in 2010 in the magazine for children “A Yellow Caterpillar” and built according to calendar chronology (winter, spring, summer). In miniature stories the features of art space come to light (including, the use of attributive features of the Siberian region, its climatic originality), functions of gesture, nuance, phrases in the transfer of a psychological portrait of characters, narrative techniques which form the author’s attitude towards the autobiographical character (for example, use of the narration in third person, but transfer of attitude of the child associating reality with the fantastic world through the direct speech). In miniatures there is an image of the natural world of Siberia in general, and the autobiographical image appears as typical, given in circumstances, recognizable, familiar to the Siberian reader. Miniatures of Angelica Sumbayeva recreate the world of childhood as a harmonious, open to the new, capable to take a miracle to transform the ordinary into the world of fairy tales.

The article is devoted to the problems of reception of A.P. Chekhov’s dramatic art in Germany in 70’s – 80’s of the XX century. This stage is inextricably related with P.Urban’s name – the German translator, publisher and the Slavic scholar contributed significantly to the point of comprehension and adoption of A.P. Chekhov’s drama heritage. His translations based on close perusal of the original and ability for delicate feeling of linguistic material, gave a new life to Chekhov’s plays, bringing them to the German reader, opening new opportunities for stage performance. The article gives a review on basic principles of P. Urban’s translation, which allowed him to keep in translation features of dramaturgic poetry style of Chekhov, simplicity and naturalness of the language of his plays, which translators of 60’s failed to succeed in many cases.

The article analyses the relation between metaphysics and ethics in the stoic philosophy. The author shows the dependence of the theory of suicide on fundamental ideas about the nature of the cosmos. The thesis of subordination of individual existence to principles of the global process leads eventually to the adoption of self-destructive programme in the individual life. The ethics of stoicism is not able to really oppose the person to circumstances. Therefore it inevitably reduces the individual activity to meet the requirements of the “state of affairs” – until the termination of their own lives in those cases, when it is the “state of affairs” will be read by sage as the terminal prescription of natural logos.
