| 5 | In the autobiographical book “The Last Bow” V. Astafiev artistically comprehends the theme of childhood, which has already been noted by researchers. However, literary scholars, as a rule, concentrate on the analysis of the image of the central character and his grandmother. In our opinion, the writer’s ideas about childhood are also manifested through the images of secondary characters-children, relations with which reveal the originality of the autobiographical hero. The purpose of the study is to analyze the techniques for creating images of children (Vitya and Sanka) in the book “The Last Bow”. Material and methodology of the study. The material of the study is the stories of the book “The Last Bow”, which tell us about the relationship between two characters – Vitya and Sanka. The methodological basis of the study is the works on psychologism poetics, autobiographical prose by M. M. Bakhtin, L. Ya. Ginzburg, A. P. Skaftymov, A. B. Esin. A structural-semiotic approach is used to analyze the image of a character. The creation of images of Vitya and Sanka is based on psychologism techniques (portraiting, behavioral reactions in conflict or crisis situations, the transfer of an internal state through dialogic speech and internal monologues). At the same time, V. Astafiev uses elements of intertextuality, which make it possible to combine the social and everyday specifics of an autobiographical narrative with a conditionally symbolic generalization in the characters’ poetics (in the story “The Horse with a Pink Mane” the biblical motif of temptation is used, in the story “Dark Dark Night” - robinsonade plot, which implies self-determination in the conditions of being on an island). In the book “The Last Bow”, the stories about Vitya and Sanka represent a certain meta-plot in which the dynamics of the images of boys is determined by the process of their growing up, of formation of their personalities. The changes are especially showed in the image of Sanka. If in “The Pink-Maned Horse” he acts as a trickster-tempter in relation to the autobiographical hero; then in “The Photo I’m Not In” he is able to give up his interests in order to support a school friend. The author concludes that the problem is urgent, as this century was a watershed between two different models of the relationship. However, the formulation of the problem was for a long time prevented, on the one hand, by a lean source base, and, on the other hand, by peculiarities of the pre-revolutionary and Soviet historiography, which, for various reasons, did not put this kind of problems in the spotlight. At the same time, in the period prior to 1917 the collection and systematization of the facts on the subject were performed, and in the Soviet historiography, although mainly in the framework of related and supporting disciplines, many important findings were get, which still have not lost their significance. In the post-Soviet historiography traditional research areas were developed, but they are now supplemented by a more in-depth study of the social and cultural context of the problem. In the dialects of the Selkup language the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion is represented by a significant amount of the verbs describing various ways of the movement, its nature, general orientation against the speaker, conditions in which this movement occurs, etc. There is a relatively little number of polysemantic verbs among the verbs of movement in the dialects of the Selkup language and the number of meanings of verbs is insignificant as well. Most Selkup verbs of motion (60 %) are monosemantic, about 60 % of meanings do not repeat, i.e. they are peculiar to one verb of motion. In the Selkup lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion the synonymic relations are poorly developed in comparison with Russian in spite of the fact that among the verbs of motion in the Selkup language the synonymy is more developed than in other lexico-semantic groups of the studied language. The verb qənqo is the central element of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the Taz dialect of the Selkup language. The semantics of this verb does not include the description of conditions in which the movement occurs, its direction, way and mode. The verbs čāǯįgu and kwangu are the central elements of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the southern and central dialects of the Selkup language. Description of the general direction of the movement (making nearer or farther) and orientation in space is the most essential thing for the Selkup verbs of motion. There are several specifics of the lexico-semantic group of verbs of motion in the dialects of the Selkup language: existence of the space-oriented verbs; the verbs denoting movements in space made by means of certain devices / vehicles; almost full incompatibility of the verbs of motion with the abstract nouns and nouns denoting objects, incapable of the independent movement. | 43 | Introduction. About 80 % of idioms in any national language has semantics related with a person. Comparison of the cultural and conceptual content of these linguistic units allows us to study the image and verbal representation of man in different Slavic languages. Aim and objectives. Identify the universal and variant characteristics of man that exist in the designated Slavic linguocultures. Material and methods. The material is phraseological units of the thematic group “human” with the nuclear seme “evaluation” collected from lexicographic sources (50 units from each language). The method of research is crosscultural analysis. Results and discussion. Phraseological units with a negative assessment of a person quantitatively dominate in all the analyzed linguocultures. There is an invariant semantic core in the representation of human qualities. The consequence of this is a large number of equivalent and partially equivalent units. The speakers of the linguocultures examined condemn such qualities as stupidity, ignorance, impudence, rudeness, mendacity, laziness, avarice, and the like. Experience, wealth and worldly wisdom, success, good looks, and a healthy appearance are positively assessed. Neutral evaluative connotation distinguishes phraseological units that express the presence of features of similarity / difference between people, the relationship between them. In cases of general cultural interpretation, we are talking about semantic-stylistic and/or formal-structural full or partial equivalents. Full equivalents are units with identical structural, semantic (including figurative) and stylistic characteristics. Partial equivalents, while maintaining the integrity of semantics, may have some differences in meaning, stylistic sound or in the component composition/structure of phraseological units. The variants of evaluative interpretation of a person in different linguistic cultures are determined by both linguistic and extralinguistic factors. In this case, the phraseological units are not equivalent. Conclusion. Thus, the universal characteristics of human beings prevail in the phraseological world picture of Slavic languages. Variant meanings are characterized by cultural and historical conditionality Keywords: phraseological unit, cultural linguistics, world picture, thematic group, human | 3364 | |||||

| 46 | Introduction. Roman F. M. Dostoevsky’s “The Adolescent” is defined by many researchers as a novel of education. If the relationship between Versilov and Arkady is comprehensively covered in the research literature, then another aspect of parental love – maternal – seems to be insufficiently studied. Although some scientists (N. A. Tarasova, N. A. Kladova, E. A. Ivanova) indirectly touched on this topic, it has not yet become the subject of independent study. Aim of the article is to consider the images of heroines-mothers Sofia Andreevna Dolgorukaya and Daria Onisimovna in the novel by F. M. Dostoevsky’s “The Adolescent”. Material and methods. The material of the study is Dostoevsky’s novel “The Adolescent”. With the help of structural-semiotic, motivic and comparative methods, the specificity of the author’s embodiment of the artistic images of mothers is traced from the idea and drafts to the final text, the role of maternal images of Sofya Andreevna Dolgoruky and Darya Onisimovna (Nastasya Egorovna) in the process of raising Arkady, Liza and Olya is analyzed. Results and discussion. The key images embodying the images of mothers and children are Sofya Andreevna Dolgorukaya and her children, Arkady and Lisa, as well as Daria Onisimovna and her daughter Olya. In the artistic conception of the novel, maternal love is presented as an effective way to overcome the spiritual illness of a nation, an individual family and each of its members. Thirst for a significant life goal, youthful maximalism, denial of the experience and values of previous generations, supposedly “guilt” of parents for insufficient success or personal qualities of a Teenager are typical age-related features of personality development. The immaturity of the unsettled personality of a Teenager can be overcome and healed in the family. Through overcoming selfishness and vanity, realizing himself as an integral part of his family, the young man finds his way, his individuality. Moreover, the leading role in the formation of a teenager is maternal. Through the understanding and acceptance by the “holy mother” of the shortcomings and mistakes of a child of any age, the sources of love are gradually opened and the model of family behavior is inherited as a sacred moral norm that ensures the stability and integrity of an adult personality. In addition, the article reveals the process of mutual influence in the system of «mother – child» relations both within the family and in a wider social context. The writer emphasizes the negative role of tragic events in the spiritual transformation of the artistic images of mothers, depicting the suffering of a woman who lost her baby (Liza) and the suicide of her daughter (Daria Onisimovna). Conclusion. In the novel “The Adolescent” Dostoevsky depicts two types of motherly love. The first type of merciful and all-accepting love is embodied by Sofya Andreevna. Her love influenced Arkady’s way of thinking, transformed his soul and revealed to him the value of family relationships, the unconditionality of parental love. In the relationship between Liza and her mother, as in the case of the relationship between Arkady and Sofya Andreevna, love became saving, brought comfort in grief, helped to survive suffering and grow spiritually. The second, opposite, type of hypertrophied love-passion for the child is realized in the relationship between Darya Onisimovna and Olya. The study found that three of the four subtests as described in J. Guilford and M. Sullivan (“Stories with the completion”, “Verbal expression”, “Stories with the supplement”) adolescents of two groups show the same type of results. So, according to the sub-tests “Stories with the completion” and “Verbal expression” most adolescents have an average level of social intelligence, according to the subtests “Stories with the supplement” – below average. According the subtest “Group of the expression” adolescents with a normal level had an average level of social intelligence and adolescents with mental retardation – below average. Using the scale of A. M. Prihozhan it was found that adolescents with normal mental development have normative regulatory social competence. Adolescents with mental retardation show a lag in the development of social competence. And this is most clearly seen in the subscales: “Self confidence” and “Interest in social life”». Using the techniques of Thomas it was found that in conditions of normal psychological development of adolescents prevail two tactics of behavior in conflict situations: competition and cooperation.
